Video & Action for anyone at the apartment
[Winry had been laying in bed, feeling defeated and alone, unable to really do much of anything, at least not anything she wanted to do, but within a spilt-second that feeling had changed. She had no idea what exactly happened, but within a moment her thoughts of only the queen changed and everything she had done or said or didn't feel was slowly sinking in.
It was enough to cause the young woman to sit up in bed, hands gently pressed up against her cheek as tears fell down her face. It was the thought of how she didn't seem to care for her friends that was slowly become a realization. She felt awful about it. Moving to wipe the tears away from her eyes she reached over to pick up the device, fingers paused over the button to record. Should she say something or should she just get to work? She knew what she was like as she soon pressed the button, the feed switching on. Her lips not giving off the usual smile instead a small frown was upon them, the tears that had fallen were still present as she wiped them away again before speaking.]
Hey, uh... Sorry, it's been a while. [She paused for a moment, giving off a hint of a smile for a moment.] I'm back to normal as you can tell and I want to apologize to my friends for potentially worrying them during the time I was gone and the time after I was found. I feel awful about what happened.
[That was the important part out of the way. She was pausing over her next few words.]
I also want to just say something. Back home I was told something very important that I still believe in. But at the same time, this whole situation has also shown me that I can't handle myself necessarily in a tough situation. [She looked away slightly.] So I guess I'm asking if there are ways I can defend myself should I need to without harming anyone? At least to not worry people as much over if I am going to be hurt or kidnapped or something.
[She looked back she had at least stopped crying for the moment, looking slightly more determined.]
I would be grateful for the help. [With that she switches off the device before putting it down to the side and moving to get off the bed. She figured she was behind on work at the hospital and so was planning on heading there and maybe pull a few overnighters.]
Action
[Winry had grabbed her travel case as well as some food, water, and essentials for the long work day she was planning on making herself do. She figured she was behind and she also guessed it would be the safe bet as well for the time being. Sure she was back to her emotion-filled self, but she had started to worry about if there was a possibility that it could happen again and the thought clouded her mind as she started to walk out the apartment complex and started to make her way over to the hospital.]

[Though he isn't sure what prompted that, Eliot knows a thing or two about behaving in a way that doesn't feel like 'himself.' He's sympathetic.]
As for defending yourself... Do you mean defensive martial arts, or some other method? Because I'm not sure if either of those will others worry less... Maybe you should worry first about feeling more confident in yourself?
video
[More confident in herself, she didn't think that was the reason. She was confident in a few areas, just... making sure she could keep herself safe was just one of the areas now she thought about it.]
More the first point, I guess. But as for being confident in myself, I am for the most part. This is probably the only area where I worry that I would be more of a hazard. I could just use a wrench on people, but I don't think that would solve the problem.

He pauses noticeably, not sure how to process that casual throw-in. Does she mean she throws a wrench in villains' plans...? Surely not literally..?]
Well... For myself, I did learn a few ways to neutralize fights? Usually I'm assigned an attendant to make sure I don't die, but I learned a few tricks in case we're separated.
... Now that I think about it. Unless I forgot them again, we're probably separated. Hm. I should be practicing.

[She nodded slightly.]
I think you might need to unless you are lucky and nothing happens.

[Without even pausing to address the blood thing, he continues,]
So the techniques I had to learn aren't really... me hurting people. Just being able to end a conflict and run.

[His expression turns a little worried.]
If not that witch will have some explaining to do...

[It admittedly worried her a little bit.]

Mid screw, she found herself pausing for a moment or two. She knew the voice but hadn't thought to look over at the device since she knew that was where it was coming from. Looking down at her work she found herself trying to get across the right words she wanted to say, but she didn't know. At least for a couple minutes.]
I could have probably avoided it though.

Action 1/2
That being said, instead of responding, she reported to work that she was going to investigate the status of the civilians living in Genessia affected by the event- which wasn't exactly a lie. They wanted to be sure there weren't any lasting effects.
Of course, the first person she would be checking on was the one she was most concerned about.]
Action 2/2
Winry! I'm glad to see you're up and leaving your apartment. [She offered one of the hot chocolates as she reached her.]
Here, this is for you.
[She smiled.]
Are you in a hurry to get to work?
Action
Ah, no... Not really in a hurry if you want to go inside.
[She knew she had work to catch up on, but it was work she could do both at home and at work so it worked out really. She paused to take the hot beverage happily before going to open the front door once again, gesturing for the other to go first.]
Action
I saw your video feed earlier, so I was hoping to run into you. I even brought us some bagels to go with our chocolate.
[She gave a reassuring smile.]
I'm not going to make you talk in you don't want to, but I wanted to say a few things.
First... You weren't you. This world- this place we're in... it does things to the residents. And you unfortunately fell victim. It's nothing to be ashamed of, and you certainly don't need to apologize for anything.
Secondly... I was thinking of asking the police department if I can offer self-defense classes, with you in mind. Even if I can't do the classes, I'd love to be able to teach you anyway.
[Her initial piece being said, she sipped her chocolate.]
Action
Action - I know it's super late backtagging, so you don't need to respond if you don't want to!

As for non-violent self-defense... Hm. This unit wishes it could teach the principles of Healing magic - one of the first forms is an effect that can provide a form of 'sanctuary' around you, which makes it difficult for enemies to make the first strike against you.
Non-lethal would be much easier, any number of martial arts practiced unarmed is potentially a good plan there, but it is not this unit's role to encourage you to not keep to your principles.
no subject
[She nodded slightly.]
I should have really said non-lethal.
no subject
The details, of course, would depend on the teacher you find and which martial art you choose to practice. Some focus on overwhelming power, others on precision finesse.

[Oh hey, it's Baymax. And he's seemingly happy with Winry's recovery.]
I know karate, if that is any use to you. I can teach it to you, in order to defend yourself. My programming does not allow harm to come to humans, and thus would be perfect to learn a basic form of karate.
no subject
I would not have pegged you for someone who knows something like that.
no subject
[He wasn't kidding bout that either.]

How did you learning that help someone's mental state?
