1st star - video

[ Gohan knew better than to try to contact anyone, no matter what the pamphlet said. After all, the very moment he woke up in that cave, he immediately freaked out. He was in no condition to see anyone, much less talk to them. But of course, he was dead. He remembered being dead. He remembered the sensation of searing flesh, his skin practically melting like butter with every energy blast that passed through him. He remembered pain, shock, numbness...

He remembered failing.

No one could've survived that, not even him. And in those very last moments, he'd briefly accepted that. Maybe that was part of the freak out, the fact that even for a moment, he'd given up. But no matter how long he could've continued to beat himself up over it, his physical exhaustion put a stop to that. The realization then him him that he was still severely wounded, with copious amounts of blood covering his body, and the very-fatal numbness from before threatening to creep up on him. And it was at that moment that he decided, maybe he did need to contact someone...

So, with cuts and bruises covering his face, and copious amounts of blood covering practically everything else, Gohan turned on the videophone. Offering the camera a tired, but sheepish grin, before stuttering. ]

T-Think I could... get directions to a hospital...? [ He was trying to keep the situation light, as futile as that was. He really didn't want someone freaking out about him, but he also didn't want to be stubborn and pass out from blood loss. ] J-Just pointing me in a direction... should work...

[ Gohan was breathing heavily, his legs practically trembling as he kept himself upright. One hand pressed against the cave wall, as he closed his eyes in an attempt to focus and gather his strength. He needed to leave this cave, needed to find a medic of some sort. But given he could barely focus well enough to fly, he was gonna have to take it one step at a time.

He hadn't even realized someone was walking by. His focus was simply on trying to take one step after another. However, once she was close enough, his senses picked her up, and he immediately looked up in her direction. ]

... [ For a moment, he thought she might've been a threat. But he immediately shook that thought out of his head, given his condition. He couldn't afford to be paranoid about a stranger right now. He was already in bad enough shape. ] H-Hi... think I could... get directions to a hospital...?

[Terra has seen battle wounds before and she could tell there severity just by looking. She rushes over to his side and gently places one hand on his hip and lets him lean against her tiny frame.]

You shouldn't be moving. Let me heal you.

[Before giving him the chance to say anything she summoned a spell to her hand causing it to glow softly. She placed her hand above his most critical wounds and watched as the soft light seeped into his skin. It took awhile but she eventually covered the worst of it.]

[ He could feel his own heart throbbing in his ears, every single step he took practically numbing his body further. It was so bad, that he'd only barely noticed when the woman had come up to his side, although his eyes widened a bit when he saw her hand glow, and the warmth that came from her healing him.

The last time he experienced something like this was with Dende. But that was years ago, out on Namek. He hadn't had any magical healing in a very long time. And he could honestly say that he missed it, given how a good portion of his wounds seemingly just... vanished after the woman used her spell. ]

... T-Thank you. [ He said, sounding a bit shocked, honestly. ]

[Terra looks up over closely.] Are you alright? What happened?

[ Gohan chuckled a bit sheepishly, finally standing up straight now that he wasn't in immense pain. ] W-Well... I got in a fight, is probably the best explanation I can give...

[Terra gives him a small smile.] Well, I'm glad you're okay now. [She takes a few steps away suddenly nervous by their closeness.] Can I help you with anything else?

[ Gohan didn't mind that she stepped away. He was too distracted by the lack of immense pain to even mind. He began to flex his arm just to test this, to see if everything was in working order. And yeah, despite some lingering soreness and the lack of strength that came from that? He was at least patched up enough to be able to heal the rest with some rest. ]

If you can tell me where there's a hospital around here, I'd really appreciate it. [ He offered a sheepish smile again. ] Not that you didn't do a good job, but I wanna make sure I get looked over...

Oh of course. [Terra starts pulling out the things she woke up with and sorting through them. She is still knew and unsure where that actually is.] Here. [She holds up a small map pointing to the hospital.] You should have some of these things. [The map she picked up at the library.]

[ Some of the things she was shuffling through were certainly familiar. However, he wasn't sure where he'd seen them, given his arrival wasn't very clear to him. Upon arrival, he'd promptly freaked out, and probably tossed aside his started kit. As such, he hadn't read it, meaning he didn't know he was somewhere new yet.

All he knew was that he'd died, and now he was alive to feel guilty about it. But now wasn't the time for that. ]

I-I might've... tossed them aside when I woke up. [ He scratched the back of his neck in embarrassment. ] I'll head back in there and look for them.

[Terra looks back into the cave.] Let me help. It might be under the water.

There is also a communicator in there that helps you talk to others here. I don't really know where here is exactly. I woke up just like you did.

[ The communicator he did figure out, given he'd tried to contact people through it. However, given his frenzied state earlier, he'd never really considered that he might've been anywhere else other than Earth. As such, at her words, he couldn't help but try to extend his senses. Hoping to maybe find Trunks and Bulma... but instead, sensing nothing familiar. ]

... I guess I'm not the only one who's lost. [ He tried to joke, keeping the situation light. ] Is it... normal for people to wake up in that cave?

I did but I wouldn't call it normal. It does seem to happen a lot though. [Terra searches looking for the rest of his starter kit.]

[ So, not a normal occurrence, but frequent. That made enough sense to Gohan, although it did worry him. Did that mean that random people always seemed to show up in that cave? ]

I see... [ He hummed to himself, moving to help her search for his starter kit. ] I'm not sure if waking up in a cave is a good first impression, but I get the feeling it's not something that can be changed.

Yeah. I'm afraid I don't really know all the details either. [She woke up with even less.] I found your brochure!

[Terra gave him a big smile, which was rare for her.]

[ Her smile was practically infectious, because Gohan couldn't help but return that big smile with one of his own. ] Thanks for all your help. Without you, I'd probably be dead.

[ He wasn't even exaggerating. ]

My name's Gohan, by the way.

[Terra blushes a little and her smile is gone.] um... my name is Terra. It's nice to meet you. [She is a little shy but she is trying her best to be friendly and helpful.]

What else do we need to look for?

Nice to meet you too, Terra. [ Gohan had always been a friendly person by nature, so even if androids wanted to terrorize his world, that part of him wasn't gonna go away. ]

Well, I'm not sure what in all I had with me. But if we can't find anything else, then the communicator and the brochure should be fine... right?

I think so. The brochure explains this place pretty well and the communicator lets us talk with each other. [Terra can't think of anything else he might need.] I know of an Inn if you need a place to sleep for a bit. [Then it hit her.] Do you have the envelope with money?

... The what?

[ Yeah, that's a no. ]

Ah... [Terra looks around some more while a sinking feeling fills her stomach.] Well you see... You need money to get a place to stay and food. They give you some to start until you can find a job or something. [Not that Terra has been able to find anything. She hopes they can find it.]

[ Normally, Gohan wasn't the sort to earn a paycheck. Everything he needed he got from Bulma, and aside from sustenance, he honestly didn't need much. The idea of working for a paycheck was almost alien to him, given his job for the last fourteen years had been fighting the androids. But all the same, he knew where she was getting at, and he didn't want to have to resort to hunting and camping. ]

W-We should probably find that envelope then. [ He said, moving to search for it. ]

[Terra nods.] It's in a white envelope. [She gestures marking the size of the envelope with her hands.]

I hope we can find it.

W-Well, if we can't find it, I'll probably be able to get by. [ He said, trying to lift some of the burden. ] I've survived in the wilderness before.

I only know of the city around here. It's a weird place. It's small but also very larg. [Terra doesn't understand this place herself. She is very calm as she speaks like she is thinking out loud.]

Is there... not a wilderness past the city? [ He asked, genuinely curious. ]
