[Action for Satsuki and Nonon] [Private Video to Ryuko] (Forward dated to Monday)

[It was early in the morning when Gamagori's eyes opened in the Dream Dock. It was disorienting to say the least, and his entire body felt weak and stiff, having held that position for an entire week, yet... had it only been a week? Months had passed in his mind, and even his uniform now bore the gold trim that came with his Mk. 2 model. His head swam, trying to make sense of it all when the last thing he saw flashed before his eyes once again. Satsuki, buried under rubble, a detonator in her hand, a twitch of the thumb and... SATSUKI!]

[He burst out of the building, practically diving into his car, and peeling out in a very uncharacteristic manner. He sped down the streets, giving little thought for the rules of the road - something he'd have to have Satsuki punish him for later - as he made his way to the penthouse she stayed at. A glance at the clock in the car confirmed his hopes. If he hurried, he could make it during her morning tea. At this point, he didn't care about anything other than making sure Satsuki was alive and unharmed in this place.]

[Not a full fifteen minutes after waking, he burst through the door of Satsuki's apartment, knocking the entire door frame off the wall - something else that would need punishment - as if the devil himself were after him.]

Satsuki-sama!

[Once he had a chance to speak privately with Satsuki, Gamagori turns his attention to Ryuko, swallowing his pride in the process.]

Matoi, it would seem I owe you an apology...

[ UGH, what did he want?

She starts the video feed looking exasperated, but it changes almost immediately. ]

What did you say!? [ HOLD ON, she has a video recording option on her phone!

....How does she gets that to work again? ]

For real. Say that again?

[Have an annoyed and slightly embarrassed look.]

You heard me the first time. I just spent a week at the Dream Dock, where I received the Shackle Regalia Mk 2 and saw what happened... up to the Sports and Cultural Festival...

...I saw Ragyo rip out your heart...

[ Okay, on one hand, there wasn't really an apology for her to record. On the other hand, this is definitely good news. Ish. Hopefully. ]

That means you know I'm not lying, right?

Yes. I know now what happened... I think. Satsuki told the Elite Four what had happened to her sister... it was... something that had always troubled her on a deep emotional level.

...Which is why I reacted as I did when I thought you were lying.

[He sighs, thinking of his own family for a moment.] She does love you, you realize.

Yeah, I know. We've gotten along great.... from when I'm from.

I guess I just never considered what it must be like to find out from me. Or that she might not believe me. [ See that? Her faith in Satsuki was so strong that she didn't even consider that!

Yeah. That's the ticket. We'll go with that. ]

[He shakes his head.]

No, it is my fault. Had Jakazure and myself not intervened when we did, and in the fashion we did... you might have been able to talk to Satsuki-sama, share details that only someone who had gone through what you had gone through would know.

My sense of duty to Satsuki overpowered my judgement... and potentially held what she treasured the most from her...

[ ...Okay, now this was turning awkward for Ryuko. Talking about feelings always was. And his apology was turning from something to gloat with to just emotional. ]

Yeah. Well. [ Erm... ] Honestly I'll just be happy as long as we can put this behind us.

I can count on you to vouch for me to neesan, right?

I've already spoken with her... I imagine it will be some time yet though... before she adjusts...

[He pauses, now knowing that Ryuko knows what happened after the festival and... he just... he wants to know.]

...is Satsuki... alright in your time? ...The last thing I remember now is seeing her detonate the bombs in Honnouji...

[That was the biggest betrayal, in his mind. Not on Satsuki's part, but his. He was her impenetrable shield. He was supposed to protect her, no matter what... and he had been so powerless before Nui, Houmaru, and Ragyo... to let the situation deteriorate to where Satsuki had to destroy the academy...]

You saw the picture on my phone, right? Everything ends up just fine. [ Sure, the world almost ended before getting there, but hey.

Still, Ryuko feels... relieved. There's a lot of weight off her shoulders knowing that things are going to be all right now, here, and without her having to rush into things headlong to force the situation. ]

...And Mankanshoku... was there... any repercussions brought on by being absorbed by the COVERs?

[Cause lord knows there's not much brain in there to damage...]

Mako's just fine. She said you were the one who rescued her, actually.

[ Good thing Ryuko can't read your brackets Gamagori. Don't make her beat you up for talkin' smack about her girl. ]

Good. I'm glad to hear I'm not a complete failure...

[It's not talking smack. He's convinced that her inspiration and durability and everything that makes her... HER, is fueled by the lack of any substance in her head. If that were to be increased, he shudders to think of the horrible force of nature she would become.]

Don't be so hard on yourself! You've bailed us all out a couple of times.

That doesn't excuse my failures. I was Satsuki-sama's impenetrable shield...

Rest assured, I will be punished for my failures.

I don't think you need any punishment, but I guess that's more Satsuki's thing anyway.

[ Still, just a week ago he was pretty much crying for her blood, now they're... well, amicable again, at least. This was good.

Still, she did have some other questions, and if Satsuki was still... adjusting... maybe Gamagori could help. ]

The hell's up with this school I keep hearing about?

[ You know the one. The one Satsuki's setting up. With some other dude that Ryuko doesn't even know anything about. ]

Satsuki-sama is planning to run the school much like she did Honnouji, exposing us to powers and fighting styles alien to our own world in the hope that it would better prepare us for the conflict with Ragyo in our own world, as well as keep an eye on some... interesting elements here in Genessia.

Any more than that, you will have to speak to Satsuki about.

Fair enough. I think I get the reasoning. [ Although they do fine against Ragyo anyway. Somewhat. ]

Now I heard somebody else was in on it. Some crazy scientist working under Satsuki. What's the deal with him?

[ Okay, well, actually what Ryuko was told was that Satsuki and this guy were the Guardian and Deputy Guardian, but she's just going to naturally assume her neesan is the head honcho of the two. ]

Yes... Dr. Albert Wily. He's... one of those interesting elements, and current Guardian of Nova City. He is as brilliant as he is egotistical, and has produced robots that make anything from our world seem like children's toys.

You've probably even seen them walking the streets of Nova City. Aside from their often... quirky appearance, they act autonomously and individually, while possessing powers that are often times on par with even Goku Uniforms.

So does that mean she's keeping an eye on him, too?

...Wait! Hold up, you mean she's working for him!?

[Just have a deadpan stare for a bit.]

When has Satsuki-sama ever worked for anyone? She is working for Wily about as much as she was working for Ragyo.

[ Have a deadpan back and a dismissive hand wave. ] Obviously. But this is this and that is that. Why bother working underneath somebody else at all?

Because he has funding that Satsuki-sama needs if this plan is to succeed. The only way to accomplish that without Wily would be to declare war on Wily's mechanical army. This is a much more streamlined and less damaging strategy.

[Yes, normally around this time it -is- tea time. However Satsuki has been spending a little more time lately training; so when he bursts the door down he finds Satsuki all right.

When the door bursts open, he finds her not in front of him, but rather right next to the doorway behind him; Satsuki adorn in an oversized, light grey shirt and (hopefully) panties beneath them, as they do reach her thighs. It's quite embarrassingly soaked in sweat, as is the young lady herself.

Of course there's also her sword in hand, it seems she was expecting to have to cut someone, but thankfully she doesn't.

Maybe.

With her face red, the Council President scowls as she brushes the hair matted to her face to the side Her look pretty much says it all: This had better be good.]

[In that instant, a myriad of emotions engulfed Gama. First came relief, followed by a nearly overpowering desire to hug Satsuki, chased off by realization of what he had intruded on, and finally settling on supreme embarrassment as he fell to his knees, and averted his eyes.]

Satsuki-sama, I apologize for the interruption. I... needed to make sure you were... unharmed.

[Satsuki sheathes her weapon, at first with a rather puzzled expression. She was expecting Gamagori back today, but not this soon apparently.

While she's tempted to strike him right over the head with the sword sheath, she instead grabs the front of her t-shirt with her free hand and tugs down at it just slightly.]

.. Right. Turn around.

I presume, then, that you are returning with bad news?

[He obeys quite promptly, keeping his head low, almost as if he were groveling.]

I... I failed you, Satsuki-sama... the Raid Trip was successful enough, bringing all three cities under our control, and Nonon was able to wipe out the Nudist Beach base while we provided ample distraction...

...but in its wake, Ragyo ordered the Grand Sports and Cultural festival... We were able to quickly convince the students to stand up to Ragyo, but... she took control of their very minds, to turn them against us. Only Matoi was able to resist. Still... it wasn't enough.

Houmaru was able to keep all of the Elite Four at bay while Matoi faced Harime, leaving you to confront Ragyo...

[He paused, memories of Ragyo pummeling Satsuki all too fresh in his mind.]

...She... overpowered you, and took Junketsu from you... I... failed to protect you, Satsuki-sama...

[Well the beginning is good at least; she was confident that Nonon did her part, so the pink one will perhaps be at ease upon knowing that.

Satsuki heads to the couch to pick up her towel and robe as she listens to his report. As one might expect, she freezes at the mention of losing the upper hand.

She briefly nibbles her lower lip, then shakes her head.]

Did you happen to notice how she managed to overpower me, Gamagori. Was there anything unusual about my condition?

[He shakes his head a bit, still refusing to look up.]

I... did not see all of it, unfortunately. [Couldn't look is more like it.] It would seem, though, that so long as even a single thread remains, she can regenerate any damage... as she demonstrated after you beheaded her.

...but that's not all. After taking Junketsu from you, she set her sights on Matoi. I saw Ragyo rip out Matoi's heart with my own eyes... and saw as Ryuko's body pulled it back into her chest. I... can only make sense of it by thinking Matoi's body had been unified with Life Fibers much in the same way you said Ragyo attempted with your sister...

[He pauses for a moment.] ...It would also explain why Matoi uses a Kamui as you do, if Soichiro-san was the only man to accomplish creating a Kamui before his 'death'... if Soichiro and Isshin Matoi were actually the same person...

Hmmn..

[Satsuki's brows furrow as she thinks upon this. If that is the case then perhaps Ryuko having both scissor halves played a part in this. She raises a hand to her mouth as she mutters something under her breath.

Once the robe is slipped on and she ties the belt closed, she looks over her shoulder, as if startled.]

Unified with life fibers..

...

[Stunned, Satsuki drops onto the couch with her hand raised to her forehead. The same person? That.. Wasn't impossible, given the facts. No, it wasn't impossible, it was astonishingly clever.]

Yes.. It would.

[For his part, Gamagori doesn't move beyond breathing for a good long moment, allowing her to digest the realization that not only was her sister alive... it was Matoi. After a good couple minutes, he does say something, though he doesn't dare move.]

Satsuki-sama... I know this is a lot to take in... please, if there's any way that I can help ease the process, you just have to say it, and it shall be done.

[Satsuki lowers her hand to her mouth as the thoughts continue to race. So if her sword did not finish the job, then clearly the scissors must have finished the job. However connecting those two in a way that makes sense is.. Difficult. Not to mention a bit frustrating.

She supposes she could always just.. Ask Ryuko, but the very thought of that makes her face hot. Whether it's embarrassment or shame, even she isn't certain at the moment.]

I will be certain to let you know, Gamagori. However I cannot find any words for your own distress, but only say I imagine your actions were under my orders.

[Following that, a heavy sigh passes her lips.]

I suppose..

[And her voice drifts off.]

[Gamagori's rather loud entrance was difficult to miss. Nonon was not actually living with Satsuki, but had insisted on having an apartment in the same building, on the same floor. She tried to convince herself it was just so one of them was always close by in case something happened to Satsuki, but the truth was a lot less practical. She just didn't want to be that far from her. It was easy to see a stern, impossible to relate to person when one looks at Satsuki, but Nonon had always just seen her friend. So it should go without saying that when she hears a door smashing open that sounds like it could be Satsuki's room, she rushes out into the hallway. She isn't wearing her Goku Uniform, instead dressed in a somewhat cutesy set of pajamas with little bunnies on them,but she is carrying her baton and that was good for a smack upside the head to whoever dared disturb Satsuki at least!

She is fully intent to go in and smite the one that dared disturb Satsuki, but she stops when she hears Gamagori's voice. Its a voice obviously disturbed, disturbed in a way she had never heard before. Her charge is brought to a halt by that voice. She conceals herself in the hallway and simply listens. What she hears is shocking, to say the least. Though Satsuki was right that finding out she herself was not a failure was a small relief, it didn't make up for everything else.

Finally, hiding out there gets to be too much for her. It almost feels like she's just spying on her friends. And so she turns the corner, a strange combination of bunny pajamas, messy bedhead hair and an emotional state that Gamagori may possibly have never seen on her face before. There's no hint of her normal insulting attitude to be found. She only has one thing to say.]

I came to see if you were all right but....when I heard, I...well...I didn't think I should interrupt.

[Jakuzure being thoughtful? Its more likely then you think!]

[Gamagori finally lifts his head, turning to look in Nonon's direction. It was oddly... comforting to see Nonon. So much had happened right at the end, and his first thought was to get to Satsuki before the bombs detonated, leaving the other 3 Devas to fend for themselves; something he knew they could do with their new uniforms, but still nice to see Nonon. Whatever the facades they presented to the students, or attitudes they had toward each other... they were all family. He viewed Nonon as a little sister, just like Uzu was the annoying cousin of the group.]

I'm sorry for startling you, Jakazure... I just... had to make sure Satsuki-sama was alright with my own eyes.

[Satsuki looks to Nonon as well, then gestures for the girl to come on in.

All right, Satsuki, focus.. What does this mean in the long term? What direction should she take everything that she's done until now?

What should she do? Is she destined to fail or can she change that?]

Perhaps there is still a way to turn things to our advantage.. I will need to ponder on that, but for the time being, we shall continue with our usual focus; upon the school.

Though it seems the most important thing right now is to make amends with.. her.

[Though for her it will certainly be easier said than done. Her brows furrow.]

[The little pink haired girl shrugs her shoulders, trying her best to display her normal attitude. Her effort mostly goes to waste, there's no way to play off what had just been revealed. She seems to just give up after a moment.]

I don't think I would have reacted any better. Though I probably wouldn't have torn the door off with my bare hands.

[She might have tried to if she thought Satsuki was in danger, though!]

This isn't how it was supposed to happen, but if the transfer student is willing to work with us, I guess we shouldn't turn her away.

[Not that she's very comfortable with the idea. She had always assumed that if it happened it would have been under more controlled terms, not through something none of them had any amount of control over! The trouble on Satsuki's face is obvious, and Nonon isn't going to just let it have its way with the girl's mind.]

Satsuki-sama, do you remember what you told me when I first arrived? When I thought I had failed you? You told me that it was foolish to even think that, and that my mission was still in progress. Gamagori would't lie about this, but he probably doesn't know everything. Even if it goes down like that, I'm sure you'll come out on top in the end! If I wasn't sure of that, I wouldn't have devoted my life to trying to keep up with you!

[It wasn't until Nonon spoke up that Gama finally managed to bring himself to at least push himself up onto his knee. A moment of irony passed through his mind as he realized he was doing exactly what he pledged to never do, but... things have changed, and Satsuki was someone deserving of this respect.]

Jakazure's right. The explosions may have been the last thing I remember, but it's not the end. After seeing what you're capable of, I am convinced you survived, and I know none of the Elite Four would give up just because we were a little outmatched at the beginning.

Ragyo may have taken the day, but we will win the war. None of us have devoted our lives to your cause lightly, Satsuki-sama. We all can see the true depths of your strength, and we will all be there by your side up to the very end.

[Satsuki's expression softens. These two; they are extraordinary, irreplacable people.]

I never thought I would see the day where the two of you would be the ones raising my spirits. I have learned something.. Valuable just now.

[She doesn't mean this in a bad way, of course. A brief chuckle passes her lips, then she gets to her feet with a newfound sense of vigor. Her thoughts are still a bit jumbled, but she's in a better mood already.]

Nonon Jakazure, Ira Gamagori, I have watched you grow for a long time. I am extremely proud of the both of you and no words can properly express how much I appreciate all that you have done thus far.

Let us continue to move forward, but now I will be growing with you."

Truly heartfelt words from the Student Council President; if they were at home she might have been even more hesitant to speak them. It's almost a shame that, the moment this moment is over, Ira is going to have to endure one hell of a punishment.
