[Unfortunately for Mewtwo, that getup was real fishy so Natsu was already on his guard the moment he noticed the guy. However then he made the mistake to mention Lucy by name and demanding to see her.]

Oh yeah? And what do you want with her?

[Depending on the answer Mewtwo would likely find himself under attack soon.]

[Ah yes, Lucy's mate. He'd done his homework and Mewtwo was well aware of the boy's affinity to fire. ...And that he was reckless and didn't act all that bright. Everything he did, he came at with brute force, and no thought. He wasn't a threat.]

That is none of your concern, boy.

[ Sometimes Lucy has really really good timing. And then there are times like right now when she might be walking in at the worst time possible. Because the door to the guild swings open a few minutes later, some books under an arm. A quick glance around and she zeroes in on her not!mate, smiling. ]

Oh, Natsu! You'll never believe the luck I had - There was a book sale in town and I Just couldn't help mysel-

[ Wait, what's with the shifty looking guy? ... Waaaaait a second. ]

[You mean the worst timing possible. Natsu is one step away from lunging at the bastard who thinks anything involving Lucy isn't his concern. Which is why that thought gets disrupted entirely by Lucy's voice.]

Lucy! Get out of here now. This guy's after you for some reason!

[He needs her to NOT be here dammit!]

[In that instant, Mewtwo saw his chance. While Natsu was distracted, Mewtwo teleported behind Lucy, discarding the cloak and wrapped his tail around her midsection.]

You have something of mine, and I intend to get it back.

[He throws a glare at Natsu, keeping Lucy purposely between himself and the dragonslayer.]

As for you, I suggest you do not attempt to follow. I will return her when I am finished with her, and not a moment sooner.

[ Wow the tension in here is thiiiiiiiiick. But for good reason. Natsu's warning has her tense in surprise - her initial instinct is to stay put and help him; but not a good idea. He'd worry too much about her being present with someone who was after her - just like last time. ]

Wha -

[ She doesn't want to run off by herself damnit - but she starts to take a step backwards, only to bump into the pokeymans who was suddenly...behind her? She dropped her books in surprise, and tried to pull his tail away from her to get free. When did he -? ]

Hey! Let go - I don't have anything of yours --!

[ Shnarll schnarl -- She shot a glance over her shoulder to glare, ending up stopping in surprise. ]

You... What are you doing!?

[ Besides getting ready to feel the wrath of a dragon. ]

[That was a very big mistake. The last time he hesitated or was too slow in making a move, he lost Future Lucy. That precedent acts like the perfect catalyst to explode straight into Lightning Fire Dragon mode with a vicious crack of lightning before he lunges at Mewtwo even faster than he usually was thanks to being boosted by the lightning furiously storming around his flames.]

LIKE HELL YOU'RE TAKING HER ANYWHERE!

[Mewtwo was expecting something like that, but that doesn't make it any less annoying. As Natsu lunged, he put up a Protect barrier while swinging his tail - and thus Lucy - around to place him between Natsu's attack and Lucy. There was one small thing that Mewtwo wasn't prepared for though... in all his time battling with other pokemon, whenever he'd used Protect and it didn't simply fail outright... it had never felt like the barrier was ever taxed that much. Here though, it felt like he had to put all his weight behind the barrier to keep it from shattering. Either he was getting soft... or Natsu's power was... off the charts.]

I will not allow her to keep what is rightfully mine any longer. Once I have what I need, I will have no further need of her.

[As soon as there was a brief second of eye-contact, Mewtwo's eyes shone brilliantly, using a Disable attack to hopefully keep... whatever that was Natsu used at bay, even temporarily.]

[ YEP, bad idea Mewtwo. As Natsu lunged for him, Lucy was trying to pull out of his tail grip - without much luck. ]

I said I don't have anything of yours - I don't even know what you're talking about! Let go!

[That was really NOT the best choice of words either given Natsu's current state. No further need. Oh hell no.]

THERE IS NO WAY I'M LETTING YOU TAKE HER ANYWHERE! SO YOU BETTER START MAKIN SENSE BEFORE I TURN YOU TO ASHES!

[That is an ultimatum however the moment he sees the faintest luminance from Mewtwo, Natsu closes his eyes instead relying entirely on his other senses to keep a track of Mewtwo until it was safe to look again.]

[Once Natsu closed his eyes, Mewtwo had to smirk slightly. Obviously, he had never dealt with a psychic, or at the very least, not one of his power. Mewtwo simply held out a hand this time, sending out a pulse of psychic energy that would bombard the senses with every false impulse the brain could handle.]

I do not allow any information about myself or my past simply remain with those I do not wish to have them. I will take my memories back before they become a weapon.

[Confident that his Confusion attack would be enough to detain Natsu, he erects a blue barrier of light around himself and Lucy and begins to leave. Through the ceiling.]

[ She has no idea what Mewtwo just did, only that he sent out some kind of attack. ]

Natsu!

[ He's all right, right? Right? Another glance, baffled and angry as she heard Mewtwo's assumption. ]

What are you talking about!? [ Waait, memories? He's talking about back then -- WOW Paranoid much. ]

No one is using your memories as a weapon! The Guild isn't like that! [ And no one else knows about it anyway. Heck, she didn't even mention it to Natsu because it seemed to be a very personal issue for Mewtwo - and she tells Natsu everything! ~~Well..almost everything~~ ]

You're misunderstanding! JUst put me down -!

[ Except he's not, and it's a bit alarming when he starts floating them up - she reaches out towards that barrier (or maybe towards Natsu) to see if it's solid. ]

If you think I'm gonna let you mess with Lucy's memories, you're even dumber than you look!

[Natsu clenched his teeth as his senses were hit with that attack that acted like chaff against his detection abilities. His eyes immediately snapped open and he could make out the blurred outline of Lucy's hand reaching out towards him or the barriers between them. Immediately the fire and lightning intensify and if Mewtwo were to look back he would see the faint hint of scales crackling over the skin of his neck and encompassing a part of his face.]

Lucy!

[He roars and reaches out with all of his might to grab Lucy's hand trying to break through the barrier.]

[For his part, Mewtwo simply casts another glare down at he dragonslayer, before bolting upward and through the roof of the guild hall. Once clear of it, he continues to ascend, scanning the surroundings for a suitable location. Far enough away to give him time to work, yet not so far as to leave Lucy stranded. Once he finds a place that would be acceptable, he darts downward, setting himself and Lucy down gently.]

I apologize for the abruptness of all this, however, simply leaving you with memories of my past is not an option.

[ So close, and it wasn't enough to reach through the barrier to grab his hand. All she could do was stare in distress when Mewtwo spirited her away. THere was no way Natsu was going to leave it at that - and despite what she'd seen of his past, she didn't think Mewtwo would kill her. Wipe her mind clean maybe, but that wasn't something she wanted anyway. ]

Why!? Because you think I'm like them? You know as well as I do that humans aren't all like the ones who mistreated you - and I would die before I let anyone use me against my friends.

It's not you being used against your friends that worries me. If someone found out you held a telepathic link with me so intense that you left an astral projection in my mind, regardless of the situation, with the right equipment or another psychic of ample power, could recreate the situation and use those memories against me.

In my world, there are only two things that even remotely resemble what you call a "guild." Gyms, which by nature are a place of ambition, those residing there having the express purpose of "being the best" at any cost. The other being organizations that operate under the guise of "teams" like the organization that created me.

Either way, I am not going to sit idly by while something that connects me to a human is simply left out in the open. I give you two options. Submit willingly and expedite the procedure, or resist and drag it out.

Our Guilds are NOTHING like your Gyms. Fairy Tail is a place people love each other like a family, where anyone can go if they need help. [ Okay yeah they want to be the best - and they are the best in Fiore, but family came first above that. And certainly not 'at any cost'. ]

And they're certainly nothing like the kind of place that created you. Comparing either of the two to Fairy Tail is an insult. [ She clenched her fists. MAYBE if he'd asked properly she'd have been willing to cooperate, and even understanding of where he was coming from. But no, he went about it all wrong. ]

Everyone's memories are precious. I didn't ask to see your past. I don't agree with what those people did, and I don't agree with your methods even if I understand why you do it. It's to protect yourself. Those memories I saw, they're a part of my memories now - and I am not the type of person to sit politely and let someone just do as they liked in my head.

[ Sass. ]

[Great. Resistance. He'd hoped he could do this without too much of an incident. After all, every second he had to comb through her mind to pinpoint the memories he needed was one more second Natsu would be using to close the distance between them.]

[Mewtwo's eyes glowed for a second, Glaring at her in an attempt to paralyze her long enough. And then, he established the link. The first memory he saw was... apparently too far back, by quite some time. He had to physically shake his head to dispel the image of a child Lucy being kicked out of her father's office.]

[ Of course resistance. Lucy would never just go along with someone dragging her off against her will and attacking any of her friends - even in self defense. He started it. Unfortunately she doesn't have much - or anything - to hold up against psychic defenses. On the plus side, this wasn't a vampiric attack, though being unable to move die make the memory surface for a split second. She still tried to force herself to move, to do -something- no matter how miniscule, wincing a fraction at the memory of her father. She didn't think of him so negatively anymore - if anything, she missed him terribly, for their missed opportunities.. ]

[Mewtwo steeled himself as he pushed forward, this time, memories of what... appeared to be a war. ...Over... her? That can't be right. Humans risking their lives over... one person? This was... beyond confusing to Mewtwo. Even when Ash had sacrificed himself, he had done so in the face of what could have amounted to destruction on a global level. And what's more, the fact that Lucy had to be physically restrained to keep from sacrificing herself was an even bigger shock to his system.]

[He clenched his eyes shut, gritting his teeth and taking a small step backward, as if someone or something had punched him in the gut. The connection faltered for a moment, but only a moment. It was in his best interest to take those memories back... it was. He HAD to keep at it.]

[ Damnit you are putting your dirty pawpawprings ALL over her memories. At least SHE wiped her feet! As he prowled hiw way through her memories, she tensed slightly at memory of the war with Phantom Lord. It seemed to her that was where it began - the importance of nakama, and how far her friends - and especially Natsu - would go for each other. Even for her, when it was because of her father that Phantom Lord attacked Fairy Tail in the first place.

Wait - was that a ... yes, he actually faltered for a second. She.. wasn't sure what she did to interrupt it, but she tried it again, fighting against that mental link for all she was worth. She needed to buy Natsu that time to find them. ]

[When he dove back into Lucy's memories, something... happened. A scene played out so... vividly. Lucy holding the figure of a man... that wasn't human? Pleading her case to some being of near godlike power... no, it was more than pleading. She was... arguing. This massive being could have crushed her in an instant if he desired and yet... there she was, refusing to accept a fate that even its victim had come to terms with. And then... there were more there with her, but something wasn't right... they weren't looking where they should... they were staring at him. The sheer intensity of the emotions in the memory were too much to handle, and in a brief instant, all of his own emotions came bubbling up to the surface.]

[Lucy's resistance and the emotions revolving around the memory had forced the link into a two-way street, and in that instant, all of Mewtwo's own insecurities, fears, and pain came flooding out. He staggered back, clutching his head, severing the link entirely. When he finally opened his eyes, there was a different look in them... they weren't the cold calculating eyes of an all-powerful being... but the eyes of a very scared child or animal, even as a thought came unbidden audibly to the immediate vicinity.]

...s-stache... face?

[ The suddenness of the link being severed left her breathless and dizzy -the barrage of emotions and fears, insecurities flooding out the way they did was almost too much for her. While he staggered back, she dropped to her knees with a hand at her head, stricken into silence as she tried to process everything she saw and felt. ]

W.. what?

[ Was he ...talking about the Spirit King..? She'd..certainly never thought of him being referred to as moustache face. ... she had one hell of a headache though. ]

[She'd been taken away. Lucy had been spirited away by some weird looking guy. Again. Out of his sight, away from his side. That was unacceptable.

He ignored anyone calling out to him and stormed out of the guild immediately, sniffing the air and quickly finding the trail left behind by Lucy's scent. He ran through the street until he finally found the place where Mewtwo had landed.

He didn't even bother climbing the building instead compressing flames under his very feet to rocket himself up into the air. In the span of a second he took in the entire scene and unfortunately for the powerful pokemon it looked a lot worse than it was. Natsu grit his teeth hard and clenched his fist as a ball of pure fire and lightning focused around it.]

You...

[But he was still flying. He didn't have any seeming control over his trajectory other than going up. But he had an idea for that as well. An old trick he used to smash through another barrier in the past. He had to kick himself for not using that earlier. Right now though he just wanted to send Mew Two flying as far away from Lucy as possible. So a second flame burst out from his elbow sending him into a spinning motion that also was going to collide with Mewtwo.]

GET THE HELL AWAY FROM HER!!

[He roars and the flame burns bigger and brighter, the centrifugal force or his spin adding even more power to the punch as it spun and spun until it would slam with all of Natsu's fury into MewTwo.]

[As stunned and confused as he was by the whole situation, Mewtwo barely registered Natsu's arrival until it was far too late. The punch hit, and he went skidding across the rooftop until caught by the small wall lining the edge. But he didn't get up, he didn't move. He just... laid there. Ever since arriving in Genessia, Mewtwo had kept up his facade of power, which had been easy enough to do when he had the familiarity of the other pokemon around him. Now though... the added stress of being so alone along with what happened had left him drained.]
