In the outskirts of Fayren, on the edge of the forest, there's a nice secluded spot where a small hill resides. By all accounts, today is a day like any other. The weather is as predicted, and nothing out of the ordinary seems to be happening for a change. That is... until around noon.

What can only be described as an explosion of purple energy engulfs the area surrounding the hill. It forms a dome of swirling energy that can be seen from some distance. Anything it touches is pulled into the dome and ripped apart until there's nothing left. When the dome finally recedes, all that is left is a barren crater. A few wisps of smoke rise from disparate parts of the crater, but at its center is a lone figure, panting and almost... growling to himself.

Mewtwo has left yet another mark on the wilds of Fayren.

This is how you use this thing right? I've...never really seen a device like this before. But it seems pretty simple, I guess.

Anyway, my name is Skyler. I just arrived here. I was going to find this place the newcomers sleep in, but I thought that maybe I could learn a little more by asking here.

I was just wondering if anyone had any advice for new arrivals. Thanks.

Uh, bye.

I know a lot of people have had various feelings about me in the past. However, Fayren has been uniquely open in its dealings with me, and those I care for. As such, I have an announcement of a sort to coincide with the Guardian election.

Fayren is under my protection. Any attempts to weaken it, or harm it will be met in kind. I do not care who you are, or what your station, if you harm Fayren, you answer to me. Not even our potential Guardians are exempt from this.

While Mewtwo hadn't acted immediately once the breach happened, once he had secured his own sub-archway to a satisfactory degree, he made his way to the center of Fayren. In a brief instant, he mused about how this place had changed him. How a year or so ago he would've left Fayren to its fate. But not today. It was a rare chance for him to flex his full psychic might, and do so in service of place that had, for the most part, accepted him and did not care about the power he represented.

With that in mind, and a colossal effort, Mewtwo turned his gaze skyward, eyes radiating a brilliant blue as a wave of energy exploded outward from him. The wave did not affect anything physical, however did seem to act as a wall that repelled the hungering spirits as it expanded. It was unable to encompass all of Fayren with the continuous assault on his own barrier, but it managed to encompass a large amount of it. Once in place he sent out a telepathic message to any within the city, civilian or otherwise. If it had a mind, it would hear his voice.

To everyone within the boundaries of Fayren, for your own safety, come to the center of town as fast as possible.

Video - Public - Genessia City
[ Shoji's arrival to this world differed little from any other. He wakes up in the Bay confused, a little afraid, and uneasy. The hologram and the pamphlet help ease his mind, along with his prior experience with strange supernatural phenomena. But this is completely new. So right after swapping the damp clothes he was wearing to fresher ones, and finding a tall rooftop to perch on with a canned drink in hand, Shoji made use of this network by making a video. It's risky to put himself out there, but he's got a lot of faith that people here wouldn't be evil or out to get him. Firing up the video function, Shoji taps on the screen and holds his device up at a decent angle that shows his stylish casual clothes. Starting off with a friendly smile and a two-fingered salute, he speaks: ]

Hey there! Shoji speakin', new meat fresh off the bay. Any friendly faces in this place willing to have a chat? How many of us are in here anyway? Man, this is crazy, it's like being transported into some bizarro dimension filled with yokai, only with no yokai. This is really feels more like a human world than anything.

Video/Action - Public - Nova City
[ The shock of suddenly being transported into a different world was enough to keep Shoji awake for a long time. So he decided to spend the night just running free until he makes it to Nova City. Weiss' welcoming message have mentioned Nova City, so it was natural that it would catch Shoji's curiosity. The futuristic wonderland just energized him more to keep exploring. This was way bigger than any city he's been, with buildings much higher than he's seen before. It was almost intimidating, but also tempting to make this city into his new parkour playground. Just wandering where he feels like, Shoji eventually runs into a seedy underbelly of Nova City. After soaking in the sights of the lines of bars and other neon light establishments spread throughout this street he finds himself in, Shoji finds himself in trouble.

Shoji turns the video on, not having any time to pick names and not that he knows any Guardians yet, showing himself hiding behind a wall. Gunshots could be heard along with some screaming from panicked pedestrians. Despite being in such danger against guns with firepower unlike his homeworld's, Shoji presents himself in a somewhat calm demeanor in the video
]

Uhhh... Hi again. I may or may not have run into some thugs having what looked like an arms trade. That I interrupted. Unintentionally, I might add.

[ Then a gunshot fizzed by and nicked the corner of the wall he's hiding behind. Dust from the shattered piece of wall makes him pause and cuss under his breath for a second. ]

So uh, some help would be nice? They got some heavy firepower but I'll keep 'em occupied until you get here. I'm at the northeast quadrant of the city. In the back alley of a bar named "Wish You Were Beer". God, that name is terrible!

[ Shoji cringes at saying that terrible name out loud, activating a holographic shield over his arm before putting his phone away on his coat's chest pocket. He takes a sharp breath before steps out of hiding, using his shield as protection to slide from cover to cover, just before he throws his shield like a boomerang and striking at one of the armed thugs before returning to him ]

Have you ever heard of a Type:Null?

That's all my PokeFit is saying. I found it in a lab. Arrested everyone there and they aren't talking, but I think.. I think they made him. He has a mask and I can't get it off. I can talk to it but obviously I don't speak Pokemon and he does have a mask on that covers its mouth so I can't even hear if it has a real name. Can you help?

Yes, experimenting on or otherwise being cruel to Pokemon is illegal in Nova City.

Try it if you want to go to prison for the rest of your time here.

[ She's definitely mad about this. ]

[As the video starts, you can see Tony Clark glaring at the camera while sitting on his new bed. Judging by the room he's in, it looks like he's in the K&H Home for Children, which he is currently living right now. Also, you can see in his face that he's not in the mood to smile right now.]

All right... I know most of you guys already know the strange things going on in Genessia, so I want to ask you something. First off...

[He then pulls out some kind of paper containing a photo of a purple face:

It seems that during his ghostly encounter in the Date Auction event, he managed to capture this through his Eye-Tech he wore in his left ear.]

I want to know what kind of ghost in this picture!

If you want to know the reason I'm looking for this is because it's been haunting me during that Valentine's event! Not only it almost gave me a heart attack, but it humiliated me in so many levels!

Which is why I want to find this ghost and send it back where he belongs!

So if you guys can find it or know what it is, call me back! That ghost is definitely going to pay for what he did to me!

[And to prove that he's completely serious, he cracked his knuckles in front of the camera as he growls in anger. Maybe you can try to calm him down, but that's easier said than done.]

It's been a while since I have spoken like this, but I found myself making sure that my travelling healing group is going strong and doing well, which thankfully it is.

[She was at least glad about that either way. It meant now she could focus on another thing she wanted to do and was making steps towards.]

However, what I will be saying next will be... more than a little odd. But I am planning on running for Fayren Guardian.

[She tapped her chin lightly for a brief moment.]

As for my campaign, mine is simply I am there for the people. The ideas I do have would be something I would be willing to talk to the Guardians about, even if I don't win, I would at least want basic first aid to be something for both Guardians and deputies so if they are ever involved in a case where they are needed to protect and someone gets hurt, they can deal with it quickly.

The other thing I am campaigning for is the removal of the security dolls. While I understand... the guardians idea of that, it just creeps people out, myself included, but doesn't really deter people from doing crimes. I would want to find a way to make the people feel safe and not make them anxious.

[She places her hands in front of her.]

If you have any questions you want to ask, please do. I am always happy to answer them. [She bowed slightly.]

Thank you for listening.

It occurs to me that with the change of weather, those who have Pokemon will likely be seeking to help their Pokemon adapt to the colder climates. I've recently cultivated a large crop of Aspear berries that I am offering free of charge to Pokemon trainers.

For those unfamiliar, Aspear berries promote healthy circulation and are very valuable when combating ice-type attacks, as it can help Pokemon recover from freezing. All I ask in return is a chance to see what Pokemon each trainer has.

I'll admit this is far from an act of altruism on my part. I still seek stronger opponents, and knowing what Pokemon are in Genessia can help me find those opponents. Battles are purely voluntary however, and I will not pressure anyone into such a situation or hold the berries back from those who do not wish to participate.

[Action]

[It was night time in Genessia and in the Bay, a new resident has woken up. This time, a middle-aged man has just woken up from his pod and right now, he was completely confused at his new surroundings.]

Huh? This isn't my lab. How did I get here?

[Sure, he didn't remember when he gone home to his lab beforehand. However, he did remember that he talked to his former lab assistant, Alain before the finals where he was about face against Ash Ketchum. After that, he remembered nothing until when he woke up, he found himself lying on a cocoon inside a cave with a box lying on his chest. While he was still confused at why he was here, he remained calm as he checked through his pockets until he found a Poke Ball, causing him to sigh in relief that his Pokemon is still with him.

Eventually, after he went through the contents of the box, he left the Bay, now wearing the necklace from the box as he read through the pamphlet to get some answers on where he was right now. If you like, you can come up behind him and either help him out or say hi (or try to scare him).]

[As the video starts, everyone can see a black-haired middle-aged, yet handsome man wearing his blue long-sleeved shirt on a screen. While he was still getting used to the fact he was "kidnapped" like the woman said in the holographic video, he remained calm as he stared right at the camera.]

Hi there. My name is Augustine Sycamore and I might need some help. I was hoping if anyone might give me a tour around the city. Don't worry, I'll try to find somewhere to stay until then. Thank you in advance.

[He was about to turn off the video when he realizes something...]

One more thing, I'm also a Pokemon Professor from the Kalos region, so do Pokemon inhabit in this city as well?

[Sure, he's in another world unaware of what it contains, but since he IS the Pokemon Professor, it can't hurt to ask.]

Who: Freeza, Mewtwo, Saitama
What: A certain Pokemon who resembles him and certain bald "hero for fun" mouthed off a bit too much for Freeza's taste. Challenges were then issued and here we are now.
Where: Nova City
Warnings: None except for obviously violence.

[Let it not be said that Freeza would back out of a challenge. Fools eager to rush to their untimely demises were exactly what he need to unwind.

Of course, there was the matter of them finding him...

Floating high over the city that was in his eyes, expendable. A flame-like aura of reddish-purple flares out from him in an instant like a blazing star of a distant supernova suddenly appearing in the night's skies.

And then the first of several shockwaves hit and the whole of Nova is quaking as if with fear of what is to come. Glass shatters everywhere and steel buckles and bends. Cars flip over and are blown away like leaves in the wind. As are any people caught out there...

And this is him still on low output.

Here's hoping the message was received before he has to kick a million notches to get their attention. Of course that is going to happen anyway in the end...
]

[It has been quite some time since Freeza has show his cruel pale face. Some of you probably had hoped he had been quietly sent back to wherever he came from. But here he is sitting on the roof of some large office building in Nova, looking immensely pleased with himself.]

Hello again, ladies and gentlemen. I do hope you haven't forgotten about my presence in this world. I admit I find observing the lot of you rabble going on about your pointless little lives utterly tedious. So least I get bored too quickly with this place and blow everything away, I've been focusing on other pursuits for the time being. Such as this. I own this building. I own several all across Genessia in fact. How exactly I did it is of no importance. Suffice to say, I convinced the previous owners to give it to me most persuasively.

I think I will go into real estate and land development like I did back home. Or perhaps protective services... Not that money ever meant much to me really, I set up the Planet Trade Organization for all the enjoyment it could bring me, any extra wealth I gained was just a nice bonus.

Of course, the end result will still be the same, you will all bow down to me as subjects whether by buying everything out from under you or by sheer force. It's the only reason I'm still playing this game and not flipping the board over yet. Well, that and hoping for a certain monkey to perhaps show up. He really is the only chance you could plausibly have against me... But alas, not a trace of him to be seen.

Of course, there are others who could take his place as my punching bag at the moment. That little blond, Earthling dollmaker girl for a start. She had the nerve to blow up one of her creations in my face and I must show displeasure with her for that act. So if any of you would be so kind as to tell me where she lives, you'll get preferentially in the regime that is to come.

[As the feed opens, the camera seems to be suspended in the air by nothing, gently bobbing up and down as it displays Mewtwo with a pair of blades made of energy hovering near his wrists. He's been working on using the blades to cut through a rather large column of solid granite that he procured from elsewhere, seemingly using it as a training dummy. When his voice comes over the feed, he doesn't seem to pay the device a single ounce of attention.]

I have been here for some time now, and this 'holiday' has come before. However, I am curious. What is the point? From what I can tell, humans celebrate horror and fashion in equal parts for no reason, and it is perplexing to say the least.

20 July 2016 @ 02:40 pm

[When the feed clicks on, he can be seen standing in the middle of Attleton's Colosseum, much to the annoyance of the spectators and assembled fighters.]

I have gone far too long without a decent challenge. As such, I have decided that I will not leave the Colosseum until that need is satiated. This is an open challenge to any and all who wish to test their mettle, come find me, and I will engage any who step into this arena. Be warned, however. I will not hold back. I intend to exercise my power to the absolute fullest for the first time since setting foot in this place.

Introspection tiiime! )

[It takes her a couple of shots to really be able to use the video function. Being from the 90s and handling way more advanced technology will do that to you.]

Hello? Is this thing working? ...huh, looks like it is. [She looks impressed -- this thing is nothing like the journals from Luceti. In fact, those things have nothing on this!] Guess I should introduce myself, then. I'm Utena Tenjou. Nice to meet you all, even if it's like this. Then again, it's not exactly the first time I've had to deal with something like this...

[It looks like she just realized something.]

...err, but it is the first time where not everything's free. Where's a good place for a student to work? I mean, I've actually been gone from my world for several years, but I'm pretty sure I still only count as an eighth grader when all's said and done. I'm not going to be picky with what I can get, though -- anything's better than living on the streets. If it helps any, I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty or anything like that!

Also, if anyone's seen a girl named Anthy Himemiya, could you point her in my direction? She's... a very dear friend of mine, and I'd be really happy to know that she's okay.

[When the feed turns on, Mewtwo's attempt at looking presentable is lacking, considering the imposing presence he's cut in the past. He's visibly thinner, with large bags under his eyes. His eyes, too seem... nervous.]

Today, I come to you with something of an unfortunate announcement. Do to a number of personal reasons, I am hear by stepping down as Deputy Guardian of Fayren. I would like to emphasize this is not something that the position has inflicted upon me, but rather a combination of circumstances that have me distracted and unable to do my duties to the best of my ability.

However, because of the nature of the situation in Fayren at the moment, I have been in talks with Mavis Vermillion who will be heading up the investigation into the Hands of Decay in my stead. I have provided her with all of the details of my investigation, and ask those that have cooperated with me in this regard to treat her with the same respect you have shown me. Mavis has also agreed to work with the Guardian's office, regardless of who wins the upcoming election so as to keep the investigation as cohesive as possible.

I appreciate your understanding in this matter, and will answer any and all questions regarding this with some exceptions, given the private nature of why I am stepping down.

Normally, Ted didn't hesitate with his communication device. He liked to talk, and phone calls were his preferred method of keeping in touch with his loved ones. Sadly, peaceful, relaxing times would be coming to an end. His goku uniform, which might be ready any day now, demanded his utmost strength and willpower. He had to steel himself to have any chance of surviving. To be utterly firm in his convictions.

He was appalled by the subarchways; how they preyed upon the weak-hearted and the weak-minded. Especially children. Ted knew it was the moral duty of everyone to love what's true, and hate what's false. If only he could get others to agree. The thought of motes and beams crossed his mind. If he wanted others to embrace truth, he'd have to do the same, and cut himself loose of comforting falsehoods of his own. It was time for the truth. As he dialed each number and waited to be received, He prayed that the truth would not be too terrible.

Past: To Justice

Mewtwo isn't Ted's first choice for conversation, despite the lengthy one they'd had upon their first meeting. He simply seemed to irritate the artificial creature for reasons unbeknownst to Ted. In a way, that made him uniquely poised to answer the unsettling question that weighed on him ever since Koishi's party. Mewtwo, regrettably, was himself a victim of comforting falsehoods, if his time on Lake Canaa were any indication. Perhaps that made him an expert.

"Hello J--Mewtwo. Is now a good time? I need an expert opinion. It's about my...well, pokemon in general."

Present: To Sans

Ted wasn't sure where to start with this one. Sans had worried him at first with his previous position on the wrong side of a racial war. But he'd largely forgotten it, using Sans' sloth as a convenient excuse from anything dreadful. He couldn't deny that there seemed to be more to the silly skeleton than he let on, but then Ted could hardly hold that against him. Everyone has their secrets. It's just this one in particular that nagged at him. How to begin?

"Good afternoon, Sans. I hope your frank business hasn't gone to the dogs. Tell me, are you familiar with a...shall we say, bipolar flower?"

Future: To Ronan

Ted, of course, was justice's biggest fan, both in the concrete and the abstract. He was always angling for Ronan to tell him the best stories about his time on the force, peculiar cases, and so on. Even in the short time they worked together, his legal expertise was invaluable. In the middle of one such call, like any other, Ted was especially curious about one subject they hadn't broached yet.

"Say Ronan, what are your thoughts on entrapment?"

It has been some time since I have officially updated the situation here, but there have been some major developments in regards to the investigation. There was an attempt to plant an undercover agent within their ranks, but to no avail. However, with the new security systems Guardian Satori had commissioned, and the information gathered from the exploded house, the Hands of Decay have not been able to move freely within Fayren, and I have done a complete survey of the city itself, and there are no hidden locations that may be used as hideouts.

It has become increasingly clear that the Hands of Decay are not within the city limits and I would like to instruct those investigating to adjust their searches accordingly. I would also like to ask those with any magical abilities to aid in the creation of a temporary barrier around the city so that those coming in and out can be more carefully screened.

In one week's time, I would like to begin orchestrating large area searches of the areas surrounding Fayren. In this, I would prefer those with abilities that allow them to pick out life even from deep underground to join me in canvasing the area.

We have driven them out of the city, it's time we bring them to justice.

About training, I'd like to start as soon as possible. When you are ready tell me where we can meet.

I'll be out the house for a little while. I need to clear my head.
