It seems some things do not change between worlds, do they?
[ Adela seems serene when she turns on the feed, smiling as she's holding a sleeping monkey and mudfish. There's also a little blue and white ball of fluff curled on her head, and with her large dog (not a pokémon) acting as a pillow behind her she looks like she couldn't possibly be more comfortable. ]
This is not the first time Pokémon have appeared for me, though I must admit it is different to not have altered memories accompanying them. I had hoped that, perhaps, my Charizard and Comfey would have come with me as well, but I suppose it is too much ask for even the remnants of my old team to come to me.
[ She smiles down at the two in her arms though, carefully tilting her head so that she doesn't dislodge the little bird resting on top. ]
I must ask, how does one determine nicknames for them? I am afraid I am at a loss for ideas, and... In the case of one, I would rather not rename her after my Altaria in the past, nice as that might be. It seems I have found a strange disc and two gems while out and about with the pokémon as well -- if one could tell me what purpose they serve, I would appreciate it.
Also, Smoker? I think we may need to look into a house after this -- these little ones will not be so little for long, after all.

[Video]
Yeah, sure. But you're helping me pick. And closer is better.
[Video]
Perhaps somewhere near one of the parks? It would be wonderful for the dogs as well as the pokémon.
[Video]
[And just snorts.] Park's good, you don't need a second job unless you want to go back to the forge.
[Video]
There is only one forge I have found, and they are not taking new apprentices. Opening a new forge would be more than what we could feasibly afford, as well.
I may try to take bounties in the meantime. It would at least keep my skills up, in terms of fighting. But I would need a sword first...
[Video]
Ask Will about if he has enough orders to take on anyone new, otherwise I'll comission him, if nothing else.
[Video]
[ Frowning, but she will actually answer him after a moment. ]
Zoro, remember? He was my swordsmanship teacher in the other world, and he had started to teach me how to use Haki as well -- though, I am unsure if such training would carry over here. I would hope it would, but... Who could say?
I also sparred with Keith a lot, with swordsmanship. He was to start teaching me hand-to-hand combat soon, as well.
[Video]
No, I blocked it out. Yeah, if you learned haki from him, it probably should work here. Least mine does.
[Slow nod.] Keith sounds almost too good to be true the way you talk about him. [Lightly teasing.]
[Video]
Look, he... He has his flaws, certainly, he can be rash, reckless, cannot lie to save his life, but he is reliable, and honest, and strong, and passionate, and protective, and kind, and...
[ Biting her lip now. ]
... He means a lot to me. And I to him. And... I...
[ Mumble. It's almost embarrassing how much she likes him, which is why she ends up mumbling and trailing off at this point. ]
[Video]
[Oh Adela.]
[Smoker can't resist it, he just wants to pick her up and spins her around in a circle. Good thing this is video, so he glances away, pretending to be busy with work.] Got it. [Sends his own pidgey over there with gentle nudge.]
Well, I may not be as flawless as him, but I'm sure I can teach you to throw a punch to defend yourself, assuming he wanted you to be able to protect yourself, it's a useful skill here too.
[Video]
[ Mumble mumble. She's playing with her fingers now, and if there's a Pidgey in her room she's not noticing because FEELINGS. ]
[Video]
[Video]
[ SO EMBARRASSING, NOT!DAD. OMG. ]
... That said, I... I have already seen that the chances of him arriving are slim, and even if they were not, the chances that he would remember... Well, you already know.
[Video]
So... sparring. Wanna keep learning or not?
[He's trying, Adela. He's trying REALLY HARD!]
[Video]
She blinks at him, taking a moment before nodding. ]
I would.
[ Who knows if it's that she's recognizing that he's trying or if she's simply willing to take the distraction. Either way, it's probably at least a small boon for Smoker. ]
[Video]
...
Well I guess mine looks slightly different.
[He holds up his cameruptite which he opted to put on a chain because he thought it looked like a swag piece of piratey bling.]
[Video]
[ She grins, scratching behind the sleeping monkey's ear -- and laughs when her hand is swatted away in its irritation before resting her hand once more. ]
And yes, I did find two stones. You do not have any idea just what they may be, do you?
[Video]
[He pushes the brim of his hat up and the face of his chimchar peeks out... it looks a bit smaller than Adela's.]
He seems to like it in there because my head's so warm. As for the rocks? I got no idea... I'm pretty sure they have something to do with the pokemon, but I've let each of them do whatever they want with them, even having to pull this out of Smoke's throat... little tortoise apparently thought it'd make a great snack. Point is, nadda... they might have to be stronger before they can use 'em.
[Video]
You have names for all of yours then? How did you come up with them?
Well, I suppose that makes sense, but I have no idea just what to do with them or with the disc...
... I may fashion the smaller stone into a pendant of some sort. It is quite pretty at least.
[Video]
You mean you don't? Man I came up with names for them practically right on the spot. I'm pretty good at naming things.
[He taps his chin thinking about her pokemon.]
For instance, I'd probably name the bird you've got fluffles, your fishy thing... probably fishy thing, and since I've got chim I'd probably name yours Ace Junior.
[He just spreads his hands in a shrug at what she should do with them.]
Well I turned one of mine into kind of a necklacey thing. I might let Joe keep it since he seems to be the one who likes it most... maybe you could do the same thing... let your pokemon play with them for a while and see which one likes the things most.
[Video]
I am not certain I like those names-- My Chimchar does not act enough like you for it to be appropriate, for one. I know that my Altaria was named Nimbus, but again I am not certain I wish to do that with my Swablu now. They are not the same pokémon after all, one cannot replace the other.
I may just do that with the stones, though. If that is what has worked for you, it may work for me as well.
[Video]
[Video]
[ Sigh. ]
I do not know... A name is important, and I would rather call them by something they like than something they do not. At the very least, their names should suit them, right?
[Video]
[Ace goes into a completely over the top falsetto]
In my first life, I was an engineer but in my second life I liked to sell crumpets for mister pigglewiggle down at the local bakery~! In my third life I was a shrub, but I really enjoyed that one.
[Video]
That is not that far off from the truth. Nautilus... It would often change our minds and memories. There was even a time when it changed most peoples' around me, to the point where I thought I was the one with an affected memory. I thought I was going mad.
video;
[and he shows them off to her as well! they were all in the water and around the beach, playing in the sand even with it being so cold out, he had a wailmer, krabby, oshawott, magikarp, barboach, and... what looks to be a special one, a keldeo, walking in the sand.]
video;
[ She can't help laughing at the cheerful greeting, smiling even as she accidentally wakes the pokémon on her. They all seem sleepy, and she pets the Chimchar and the Mudkip both while trying to keep her head still for Swablu. ]
You intend to swim with all of them? Perhaps my Mudkip would like to join your pokémon, as it seems to enjoy swimming quite a bit as well -- though, perhaps when it is at least a little warmer would be ideal.
video;
[SWIM WITH HIM]

video;
[ How does she put this? She's a little embarrassed now and it's easier to just play with her fingers and look at those rather than looking at her communicator right now. ]
Most... Most swim wear is rather revealing, is it not? I... I do not think I would have the courage to wear such things, here...
video;
There are one-piece suits, yes? Only your arms and legs would be revealed! [NO BIG DEAL!!]
video;
Sidon why
She's still beet red right about now. ]
I-It... It is my legs that are the problem. [ She's mumbling a little at this point. ] It is indecent to show too much of them, and I... I would not be comfortable, with that. Not here.
