[ It didn’t take long for Ambrosia to wake up out of the slumber she was in, however she’s greeted by the fact that she’s not in Better Place, nor at Mayfield, anymore, unless if they decided to tease her once more with the sound of running water to make her miss her true home that much more. She took a moment to gather the items that she woke up with, along with her pirate hat as well as her sabres and blunderbuss. At least she had some familiar comforts of home here.
Soon enough, she walked over to the entrance with her items in tow as her eyes landed on the form of someone--wait, she knows that person. Although it might have been in passing, she was definitely one of her students in her class. ]
Rika…? That ye, love?
[ Rika Furude stood in front of the Hologram. This level of technology is unfamiliar to her world, Mayfield or not. She is holding her ceremonial hoe… and looking remarkably cold. Wearing her cat ear headband and tail, and the Angel Mort waitress uniform. When she hears her name, her shoulders tense. ]
Um…….. [ She turns her head stiffly. It's one thing to be in another world wearing this revealing outfit (she had been playing dress-up in her room,) but for someone to recognize her?? Rika hands her head with shame. ] … Yes. So this isn't a dream?
[ The pirate’s smile widens a bit when she noticed that Rika remembered her and she sighs, shaking her head a bit. ]
Were this a dream, I’d be the Queen of all Pirates or somethin’ just as ridiculous. Do ye remember Mayfield at all, Rika?
[ There were always chances of others not remembering people, so she wanted to take her chances. ]
Yes… So that was all real too. [ Rika looks back to the Hologram. It helps to settle what parts of her memories are 'hers' and what belonged to other Rikas. At least now she knows that she wasn't permanently killed in Mayfield somehow. Sighing, her purple eyes fall to the necklace and money in her free hand. ] Then I'm a witch again.
[ A witch? That’s rather curious. However, Ambrosia supposes to not push the issue any further, however she was here in case if she needed someone to confide in. ]
Ye don’t meet a lot of witches back where I come from, so ye’ve gotta be pretty special, love.
[ Maybe that would be enough to help her out? She’s not sure, but she’s hopeful at least. ]
[ At that, Rika gives a dry chuckle. Just a small, amused laugh. The witch who wanders between worlds, Frederica Bernkastel, it not someone she wants to be. She hoped that Mayfield would be her final resting place, but apparently not…
But no one is expected to understand that. So, with the chuckle turning into a charming giggle, Rika turns to Ambrosia and nods. ]
It doesn't matter. I'm not alone, so this won't be scary. This 'Genessia' will be okay~! ☆
[ ...That garners the arching of one of her eyebrows, but Ambrosia won’t press her further. She figures that when Rika’s ready to divulge details, she will. For now, she supposes that they can just enjoy knowing that they weren’t alone here, as Rika said. ]
Right, well, there’s no time like th’ present, so what do ye say t’ explorin’ some? Maybe we can find somethin’ good here.
[ The first thing she can see? The houses aren’t all neatly lined up in one big line, so this for sure isn’t just another extension of Mayfield. ]
[video w/
outlandished ]
[There's a blunette on your screen, wearing a strange outfit and adorned with fake cat ears. She gives the camera a cheery wave with one hand. In the background, The Bay's hologram is repeating itself.]
Mi~. It is Rika Furude here. Big brother, are you here? We seem to have lost sight of Mayfield, it appears. [She pans the camera to another woman: Ambrosia.]
[ The pirate waves as the camera’s turned to her before her arms return to their folded position once more. ]

Ahoy. Looks like Genessia ain’t done with me yet. Fer those of ye who might remember me, nice t’ see ye again. Fer those who don’t, me name is Captain Ambrosia Gray o’ th’ Bloody Mary. Nice t’ meet ye ‘n all that. Let’s get along, aye?
…I’m also gonna guess that no one else from Mayfield is here. [ Which is upsetting, but it’s not showing on her face any. She’s come to expect that the only one here from that place is Rika, which she’s fine with. It just means that she won’t be alone here. ]
Anyone got any tips or pointers fer us while we’re here? Thanks for yer help.

[Video] [blunettes aren't real]
Hello, Ms. Pear Blossom! How fortunate to have the food of the gods with you, eh? Welcome to Genessia you two! Goodness, it's been a while since we've had two at a time, like giving birth to twins. Must be close eh?
No, sadly, I've heard of no Mayfield. The first thing most get to is lodging and work; the latter so you can find better than your current former. The Commons is...very basic.

[Ugh, no. More work? Hopefully something better than her movie theatre job.]
I see. Thank you for your guidance, Mr...?
no subject
[He laughs a little. "Guidance" is a new one.]
Aheh, you're welcome. Ah, right! Excuse me; I'm Ted.
no subject
It is nice to meet you, Ted! You may just call me Rika. How long have you been here?
no subject
Goodness, going on about three years now. It's been a charmed life so far.
no subject
I never thought my life would involve so much traveling. I had always thought I would be a housewife in one place. This is unexpected, for sure.
no subject
No, not the thing one expects. I expect most pleasures aren't. You had dreams of domesticity, then?
[Ted should factor in age when he's talking to the young.]
no subject
Mayfield was not pleasant. The people were, though. I met many people who took care of me.
My school there taught me that girls should be housewives because they are girls. But that is silly. I want to be someone who takes care of others and makes them feel safe.
no subject
Haha, that sounds remarkably like what a housewife does. Indeed, the security they provide is the source of much adventure. Nothing makes one feel brave enough for the unknown quite like a never-doubted known.
But I suppose you had other ideas.

He was ranting about it a few days ago.
no subject
[Not her big brother. The fact he hasn't answered her yet is rather heartbreaking...]
Thank you for letting us know. We will have to find him, certainly.

no subject
Oh right. Is there school here?
no subject
no subject
It is not assigned, is it?
no subject
You can also live at the children's house if you want, but you have a room at the Communes for a month.
no subject
What do you do here?
no subject
[Not that he had an argument, considering he knew a king who was 10.]
I'm a photographer for Flash Bandits. Best photography in all five cities. And I'm thinking of opening up my house, the Hikari Studio as well for more photography.
no subject
But opening your own work is possible?

no subject
Thank you for the information. I will put it to use.

video;
The two of you were at a similar place to this before? ...And one of you has returned here?
no subject
I am from a place called Mayfield. We lived in America. It was the 1950s and we were required to fill assigned roles. Genessia has free will?
no subject
[okaaaayyy, now that sounds really weird.] Y-yes, yes it does. Um, sorry, I'm a little hung up on that Mayfield place. What roles did you fill?
no subject
Mayfield made us 'mothers,' 'fathers,' 'pets,' and 'children.' I was a child and expected to obey those filling the role of my 'parents,' and attend school like a good child. If we misbehaved, we were punished.
no subject
Punished... how?
no subject
You would be brainwashed to think Mayfield was the truth. It was very unfair. Losing yourself is very unfair, especially to the ones who like you.
no subject
[she sounded so utterly surprised by this, and she definitely was. that just sounded completely insane!]
So you would have no choice but to go along with it, or be brainwashed... [huh, sounds kind of familiar to her.]
You are strong to be able to endure that. I would have gone along with it, but it would have been very hard.
