[ It's Weiss! And it's not a post about Pokemon. She's not in an office or her room or anything like that. In fact, she's dressed up and is zipping up her boots as the video starts. Seems like she's a little distracted, or possibly getting ready. ]

I know I've spoken to a few of you about it, but I think it's about time I make it official: The Genessia Scientific Research Center will be restructuring to include exploratory groups, archeology, historians, cultivators, and protective detail for the groups that go out doing this.

As it is still a non-profit organization, we can't offer much in the way of pay but if your goal is to find out more about this world, how to go home, or how to stay we would like your support in launching new projects and expeditions. Have an idea? Let me know and we'll see what the GSRF can do to further it as long as it works toward our mission.

We will be holding a fundraiser in the near future to help further support these efforts, though for now I'll be pouring significant portions of my own savings into funding expeditions. So...

[ She shifts her weight to one side, quirking her eyebrow at the camera. ]

Or if you're looking to test your combat skills to make sure they're at least up to par to help protect a team, I'll be at Attleton's Colosseum for the next few hours to warm up.

Good day to you, miss. I'm not sure if it's of use to you, but I'm considered a 'Living Library' back home. I can memorize written and spoken word, as well as arts and music, on my first encounter with them. Would that be of any use to your projects?

I already agreed to join and help with the expeditions.

Can't say I'm particularly smart or useful in the way of the "science" part, but I'll gladly volunteer to take part in the guard detail. Maybe my specialized military training will actually come in handy finally.

I'd love to help ya out on the field thing, but I kinda have this "new job" thing that makes me gotta stay in the city proper now. Maybe my new bird buddy could give ya a hand in my stead if he's willing to listen to you.

[He'd love to take Yveltal out to help carry the team around, so maybe if it listens to Weiss it'd work. Alas, Gale himself must prove he's taking his "deputy" position seriously.]

Yes. Both. Donate and help. But not combat. What do you need combat for? Why does adventure always seem to come with the thought of-- oh I might need to destroy something along the way?

It's good to hear you're working on this, Weiss. I wish you the best of luck with your expeditions and if there's anything I or the Attleton Guardian's office can do to help you, it's yours. Just give us a call.

I volunteer. And I have a few ideas for fundraisers if you wanna hear them.

I'll hear them as long as they don't involve spraying anyone with water.

I've occasionally brought in lunch but it isn't as if it's a guarantee.

Sun and I have our show. And there are lots of other famous people here. What if we played video games to make money? We could even get other people involved, like you!

Maybe we could even set out certain goals to reach-- like, if we get 200,000 redbills, I'll wear what you're wearing right now.

If you could let us know if you see anything worth checking out in Attleton, that would absolutely be of help. An ear to the ground is going to be our best indication for figuring out where to go, and you happen to hear Attleton quite well.

[ And she adds, because it's nice to see Guardians realizing they have a place they need to be but still offering to help. ]

This job does have huntsmen written all over it.

[ She's excited for it too. It's the first time it's felt like she's gotten to do something huntress-y in a while outside of Guardianship and that was.. well, far more political than being a huntress was. ]

[ She knows who he is, even if they haven't spoken yet. But there's a relationship she does have to defend here!! So her comment is going to be slightly teasing. ]

I mean, we do already have the cool Doctor's help. [ She lays her hand out flat, as if she's considering it. She's got 11's back on pretending he's coolest with his bowtie. ] But I suppose we could always use some more, provided that you're not going to constantly spout out ethnocentric lectures the whole time about preparations made for safety purposes.

It isn't as if we're going out looking for combat, but I'm not going to send a bookworm with no ability to defend themselves into a monster-infested cave looking for an ancient manuscript on their own. I'm asking people to put themselves in danger, I'm not going to do it without taking responsibility for that.

Perhaps you've come from a background where it wasn't necessary to defend yourself, but I come from a world where humanity almost went extinct because of destructive monsters born from darkness that can sense and are attracted to negative emotions. I'm well aware that isn't the case in every world and that a more peaceful solution should be put first when possible. That said, if anyone signs up for this with the intent of anything other than protecting the party from threats, they'll be removed and reported to the local City Guardian for destructive behaviors. But I'm not sending anyone out alone to get themselves slaughtered because some old man is finicky about combat.

Well now, this sounds more interesting. Count me in. I can protect the party if you want. Got a talent for tracking wildlife if it counts for something.

I appreciate you taking your Deputy position seriously, Gale.

[ She vouched for you after all! ] If he's not, I don't particularly want to be babysitting all day while other peoples' lives are on the line.

Ideally, I'd like to send at least two people with combat experience to help protect parties of science officers provided they have the forethought not to shoot first and ask questions later.

[ Organized military can sometimes put that philosophy first, so she wants to get that out of the way. ]

Of course. I'd like to organize the first one by next week, and since you were one of my first volunteers you'll be one of the first people I call.

It's Weiss. No "miss" required. That sounds like a very useful talent, provided you can then replicate and share with others. Preservation and transparent distribution of information is one of the most important aspects of the GSRF.

I don't think most people here have their degrees in anything. But if you feel like you can add something to the team, I think we'd be happy to have you. There are plenty of marine areas that we'd like to search out, so someone with knowledge in that area is a valuable asset.

Any time, we'll always accept donations.

That's.. actually not a bad idea. Like a variety show fundraiser. I don't think anyone would want to watch me play games though, we'd probably need a lot more help than you and Sun.

It.. may or may not. We aren't exactly hunting animals, but it could be a useful tool for finding water or food if the party gets lost.
