The Nature of a Hero - Action

Toshinori is doing community service today.

Having walked into the police station, the huge man bowed politely and requested to see their board. As it stood, the man was going around with the various volunteer groups, reporting back and helping out in all five cities.

Dressed in his uniform, All Might was seen rescuing runaway strollers, helping people move, dressed in a mascot uniform, crushing garbage and recyclables, and generally being a man of great integrity. He even stops a couple of crimes in progress, and soon, is resting up in a private place, shrunken down and still dressed in the oversized uniform.

You can catch him at any time, mostly in his muscle form as he continues his rounds in 30 minute sprints.

"Strange," murmured All Might, balancing a couch and fridge on each arm. "My time is lengthening..."

Was this a good thing or a bad thing?

Of course! I wouldn't mind any help at all.

[He smiles, gesturing towards the cans he was crushing for impact recycling.] Have a go. I'm just doing several at a time.

[HELPS ALONG ALL BOUNCY!!!] I was trying to find prices on it! [Laughs.] Recycling's only good as long as there's a demand, yeah? Can't remember if that's something my Dad taught me or I picked up somewhere else, but it's true! [Bounce bounce bounce.]

It seems that the recycling is all centralized here, [he said, as he crushed another few cans.]

It does. And it's in a place where noise isn't so bad.

[Walking over to a old fridge, he grasped the top and shoved down, crushing it into a flattened disc.]

Back home, community service was the thing heroes did when they were starting out, and even to this day, many heroes still do it, with specialized quirks.

If I were to be frank, a lot of people could stand to do community service. It helps the populace instead of other less productive things.

Mm! Well yeah!! But you know... most people wouldn't. That's what makes you a role model, yeah? Most people would ask when you set time aside for yourself, but they don't get the same kind of enjoyment from it, just see it as annoying or a chore, I guess.

But maybe if people see people they think are bad, that they're suspicious of, doin' good things tgey should be doin' too, maybe they'll get their act together out of pride, and pitch in too! Or just realize they were judging others too harshly, yeah?

All true on many accounts. Doing good, doesn't need an impetuous to do it. Just doing it, makes up for the life of someone who is dedicated to help.

[He grinned a little and picked up the crushed appliance to put it aside in a pile.]
