HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOON RABBIT!

WHO: Usagi Tsukino, Minako Aino, Raye Hino and pretty much everyone here ~~except Lucifer because Minako says so.~~
WHAT: Usagi's surprise 17th Birthday party.
WHEN: June 30th
WHERE: Minako and Usagi's place
NOTES: There will be sections for people to tag into like dance floor, food table things like that.

[Everything was set and Minako was rather proud of herself, especially since she planned it all and managed to get everything. This was her friend after all and her princess so only the best for her 17th. Except alcohol because she's still too young.

Now all that was left was to wait for the birthday girl to come back from the ice cream place.]

[The table was nicely set out with the birthday cake shaped like the moon with a rabbit on top, made by Jeb sat in the centre. Around it sat a wide variety of food, none made by Minako thankfully. Paper plates had been set up by the table as well as plastic cutlery so that one could eat. there weren't that many places, but there was at least one dining table and four chairs. So sit eat and enjoy the food.]

[A small area had been prepared for dancing and some music had been prepared for people to dance to. So go on and get your groove on.]

[Anything else your character might do goes here.]

[And Kodachi is here because.. Well, why not? It isn't like she has anything better to do. Why she even arrives with a small, wrapped gift despite she's certain Usagi has no idea who she is. Upon running into Minako, Kodachi does look a bit ashamed.]

I must apologize for being unable arrange the party area myself, Minako..

[ zuko's here for the food. mostly. he's also here because he's curious and this birthday celebration is unlike any he's ever been to before. granted, he was royalty... but even the ones ~~peasants~~ ordinary citizens held weren't like this. and the music, with beats and sounds and instruments he's not familiar with, is even more foreign to him than the party itself.

though, perhaps, the strangest thing is the dancing. he doesn't know quite what they think they're doing out there on the dance floor, but that is not dancing. (at least, not the kind of dancing he knows.)

which is why he's not participating. he'll just be over here. watching. ~~and brooding~~ ]

[It was so sweet of Minako to give Usagi so much money just to treat herself to ice cream. She wanted Minako and Raye to come with her, but they said they had work. She was sad of course, but Minako gave her ice cream money - so she drowns her loneliness with ice cream. Ice cream was the answer to everything after all.

But her poor friends were working so hard, and she just had to contribute something. So she had some of the money left over and bought a pint of ice cream. It was her birthday after all, and she wanted to share her happiness with both of them.

So the moment she arrived, she unlocked the door and had a wide smile ready for her friends.]

I'm hoooome~

[The moon rabbit walks close to this girl she's never met before. She looks sad or down. But this was a party. And she hasn't met this girl before at all.]

Hello~

Is something wrong?

[Usagi needs to rest from the food. So she danced a couple of minutes to get her digestion going. She didn't want to stress her stomach after all. So she tried dancing and mingling. It was so fun, but since she just arrived here in the city less than a month ago, she didn't know many of the guests just yet. Still, she had fun for a good few minutes.

Now, it was time to engage in the best part of her birthday, eating the cake. The cake was gorgeous and now she had space for it. So she skipped happily towards the dining table when she saw this guy sitting across the room. He was alone and he wasn't dancing. He wasn't talking to anybody as well.

So she walked towards him and gave him the sweetest smile she could give anyone.]

Hi~!!!

[This table.]

[That cake.]

[Everything looked so delicious]

Is this all for me~!?

[Minako had been making her rounds actually making sure people were having fun when, ding, ding, ding her party senses were tingling and she soon spotted Zuko. She noted he didn't look like he was having any fun as she made her way over.]

Hey, glad you could make it, would you like to try something?

[Minako smiles as she stands by the food table.]

Well it's for the party guest's too, but yes its all for your birthday Usagi-chan~!

[[Minako had been trying to start switching off lights in various places, but had left the main one on until she knew Usagi had been coming, but when she bumped into someone she knew she looked over.]

It's fine, it was kind of last minute anyway.

[The lights had been turned off as Minako had been hiding behind the front door and next to the light. When Usagi had entered she switched it on and jumped forward.]

Surprise~! Happy Birthday, Usagi-chan.

[ alone, not dancing, not talking to anybody... somehow, this isn't very different from social occasions at the palace. only here, he doesn't have his sister and ty lee tricking him and mai into winding up on the dance floor regardless of the fact that neither of them wants to be here.

she smiles and his unmarred cheek turns pink. he wasn't aiming to garner attention! ]

Hello. ...is this your party?

[ of course it is. that was a dumb question. why does he always say the wrong thing?? ]

[ so, maybe he's not here for the food after all. or maybe he would be, if he were brave enough to go near it. he's faced both the avatar and his father, yet can't bring himself to sample a bunch of foreign looking snacks. the next fire lord, ladies and gentlemen.

he glances at the food table, then back to her. maybe he should've tried dancing. ]

I'm not sure any of that's edible. [ zuko. ]

It isn't? [She walks over and picks up a potato chip. With that in between her fingers she dips in an salsa and takes a bite, chewing on it for a few seconds before she swallows.]

Taste edible to me. Come on, it won't kill you. [During that short time she spoke, she had gotten a few different foods on a plate and held them in front of him.]

Come on, it's delicious~

Oh Mina-chan!!!

[She already popped a macaroon inside her mouth. But she's definitely jumping towards you just to hug you and let you feel how happy she is.]

[ he makes a face, but reaches out and takes a chip and dips it into the salsa, anyway. tentatively, he takes a bite, and— actually, it's not half bad. not nearly as spicy as fire nation foods, but has hints of the kick he found earth kingdom cuisine severely lacking. ]

It's okay, but it could use more peppers. It's peppers that are in this, right?

[The moon rabbit keeps the smile on her face and nods at his question. Of course she inches closer to him and practically ignores his personal space.]

Yes! Today is my birthday!!!

Are you Minako's boyfriend here~!?

[ the fire prince is very much not used to people invading his personal space. either they don't because he's royalty or they don't because they're afraid of him.

his eyes go wide and he sputters. ] W-What? No! I'm not her boyfriend. I just met her!

[Usagi has no concept of personal space and he's not really scared of Zuko right now. Since he hasn't done anything bad to her or her friends.]

Are you sure?

[She's now bending closer to him. And whispers to him.]

Do you have a crush on her?

A... Surprise party???

You... you did this?

[She nodded slightly.]

Raye-chan and I did, yes. Though I will admit it was my idea in the first place.

[She happily will accept the hug because hugs are awesome.]

Enjoying the food, I see. I thought you might.
