WHAT: Usagi's surprise 17th Birthday party.
WHEN: June 30th
WHERE: Minako and Usagi's place

[Everything was set and Minako was rather proud of herself, especially since she planned it all and managed to get everything. This was her friend after all and her princess so only the best for her 17th. Except alcohol because she's still too young.

Now all that was left was to wait for the birthday girl to come back from the ice cream place.]

[And Kodachi is here because.. Well, why not? It isn't like she has anything better to do. Why she even arrives with a small, wrapped gift despite she's certain Usagi has no idea who she is. Upon running into Minako, Kodachi does look a bit ashamed.]

[The moon rabbit walks close to this girl she's never met before. She looks sad or down. But this was a party. And she hasn't met this girl before at all.]

[Kodachi can't help it! Though she actually didn't realize that she looked unhappy until Usagi addresses her. She blinks a few times, then forces a giggle.]

W- Whatever in the world could you possibly mean! Goodness no, I am quite fine, dear, really!

[She hands over the small box wrapped in silver wrapping paper.]

You must be the birthday girl! I am Kodachi Kuno; we have never met, but, Minako here is my darling kohai and I simply had to see what her other friends are like.

[Isn't she so polite and classy~. One would never know she was meerly hoping that Usagi is also an airhead.]

[[Minako had been trying to start switching off lights in various places, but had left the main one on until she knew Usagi had been coming, but when she bumped into someone she knew she looked over.]

It's fine, it was kind of last minute anyway.

[Kodachi still can't help but feel disappointed, but she'll get over it eventually. With Minako's forgiveness, the young lady smiles and practically lunges herself at the blonde to try and pull her into a hug!]

Ah!! You are far too kind! And just so precious! My precious precious underclassman! I am never letting you go, never ever ever!

[It was so sweet of Minako to give Usagi so much money just to treat herself to ice cream. She wanted Minako and Raye to come with her, but they said they had work. She was sad of course, but Minako gave her ice cream money - so she drowns her loneliness with ice cream. Ice cream was the answer to everything after all.

But her poor friends were working so hard, and she just had to contribute something. So she had some of the money left over and bought a pint of ice cream. It was her birthday after all, and she wanted to share her happiness with both of them.

So the moment she arrived, she unlocked the door and had a wide smile ready for her friends.]

[The lights had been turned off as Minako had been hiding behind the front door and next to the light. When Usagi had entered she switched it on and jumped forward.]

Surprise~! Happy Birthday, Usagi-chan.

[Ugh, the disappointed look on her face...she thought Minako was going to spend the day with her! This is why she hates surprise parties, it's no good making Usagi feel bad just to turn it around later. Oh well. She's here now, time to make it up to her.]

I hope you didn't fill up too much on ice cream. We've got cake to eat.

Food Table

[The table was nicely set out with the birthday cake shaped like the moon with a rabbit on top, made by Jeb sat in the centre. Around it sat a wide variety of food, none made by Minako thankfully. Paper plates had been set up by the table as well as plastic cutlery so that one could eat. there weren't that many places, but there was at least one dining table and four chairs. So sit eat and enjoy the food.]

[Minako smiles as she stands by the food table.]

Well it's for the party guest's too, but yes its all for your birthday Usagi-chan~!

[Sun didn't know Usagi, but he knew Minako. If she was Minako's friend, then she had to be alright. So, Sun came and he brought a two gifts. A giant box of chocolates and a basic stuffed animal. He didn't know what other kind of gifts to get, but those seemed like a safe bet.

After leaving them on the gift table or some place where he knew they would be found, he hit the food table to sample some of the various foods they had laid out. After filling his plate with mostly fruit, he started to eat some of them.]

[Minako had pretty much piled food on her place, she wanted to try other things, other flavours so long as there wasn't any mushrooms at least. When she had finished she made her way over with a smile on her face.]

[The Moon Princess hid the chocolates under her secret stash already. She also asked Minako who gave it to her. She marched behind the guy Minako pointed at and poked him from behind.]

[Raye sets her gift down, neatly wrapped in pink paper with a yellow ribbon. She's pretty sure Usagi will like it, having heard her express admiration for it before. Hopefully it fits. She cuts a slice of cake and picks up a plastic fork. Disposable cutlery is a must at a party, because she has extreme doubts either Minako or Usagi will wash dishes.]

[Glancing up at her friend, Raye smiles a little. It's nice to see Usagi looking so happy. She kind of missed seeing that.]

[Just don't expect her to say that out loud.]

Dance Floor

[A small area had been prepared for dancing and some music had been prepared for people to dance to. So go on and get your groove on.]

[ zuko's here for the food. mostly. he's also here because he's curious and this birthday celebration is unlike any he's ever been to before. granted, he was royalty... but even the ones peasants ordinary citizens held weren't like this. and the music, with beats and sounds and instruments he's not familiar with, is even more foreign to him than the party itself.

though, perhaps, the strangest thing is the dancing. he doesn't know quite what they think they're doing out there on the dance floor, but that is not dancing. (at least, not the kind of dancing he knows.)

which is why he's not participating. he'll just be over here. watching. and brooding ]

[Usagi needs to rest from the food. So she danced a couple of minutes to get her digestion going. She didn't want to stress her stomach after all. So she tried dancing and mingling. It was so fun, but since she just arrived here in the city less than a month ago, she didn't know many of the guests just yet. Still, she had fun for a good few minutes.

Now, it was time to engage in the best part of her birthday, eating the cake. The cake was gorgeous and now she had space for it. So she skipped happily towards the dining table when she saw this guy sitting across the room. He was alone and he wasn't dancing. He wasn't talking to anybody as well.

So she walked towards him and gave him the sweetest smile she could give anyone.]

[Minako had been making her rounds actually making sure people were having fun when, ding, ding, ding her party senses were tingling and she soon spotted Zuko. She noted he didn't look like he was having any fun as she made her way over.]

Hey, glad you could make it, would you like to try something?

[Raye is not dancing. She's not even watching those who choose to boogie. Instead she holds up the wall, staring out the window with a mostly-eaten piece of cake on her plate. Good luck getting her to join in. It's not happening.]
