[Action/Video] Night Flight

[It was still very late at night. A time when everyone should be asleep. A good girl like Sakura should be one of those sleeping, yet she wasn't.

She was still getting used to the layout of the city and wanted to familiarise herself with it more. But she wasn't going to do it where she can be seen.

Or attacked by ghosts.

With a peculiar bird-shaped wand in one hand and a large card in another, she stands in the darkness behind the home for children, she taps the card with the wand.]

[Large wings grew on the wand, and Sakura mounts it like a witch would on a magic broom, and she takes off high into the sky to browse this strange new world from the air, noting the roads and landmarks taught to her, giving her a faster and larger view of all that makes up Genessia city.

She had best be careful, any stargazers about may spot the weirdest looking bird ever flying through the sky. Those who are near the children's home might spot something landing behind the building.]

[Later that day, when the sun is nice and high in the sky, a little girl with a pretty smile is on the network.]

[He was out late at night, taking a stroll by himself, just to meditate alone as it was a busy hectic week as of late. It was then he sensed a particular power from the girl's aura, a magic power perhaps? But she's far away up high. She was flying on a broomstick? He noticed she was flying through the sky, and follows her, follows her to the children's home behind the building house.

Then startled once he made it there, it was a small girl.]

S-sorry! I thought it was a big bird! Didn't know it was you!

[This guy being startled is contagious; she's startled as well!]

Oh, umm! I-I'm not a big bird. I'm a normal girl.

[With a pink bird-shaped wand and something that looks like a Tarot card. Totally normal for kids to have in the dead of night.]

[As for him, it's totally normal for taking a late night stroll. He didn't see much of anything since he didn't know what they are for.]

Anyway, I didn't mean to scare you. Are you all right? Seems late, so you better get back home quick.

What were you doing late night anyway? If I have a broomstick like yours, I would think you go out watching the stars.

B-But I don't have a broomstick...

[Indeed, the wand looks like a toy now. She was able to dispel THE FLY card before he showed up.]

And my home is right here. The K&H Home for Children.

[So she lives in that house.]

But I thought I saw...well. Nevermind. As long you're okay and you're not hurt.

Yes, I'm fine.

[She will emphasize with a cute smile. It's finally the truth, after all.]

[He smiles back too.]

Hey just be careful, okay? It's way past your bedtime. No sneaking out, you hear? I'm Seiya.

I'm just worried because you remind me of my sister.

[Styxx hadn't been able to sleep a full night through in a long time, so he was up and about this night, though he hadn't been expecting to see something strange fly through the sky. It looked like a bird and yet, the shape was all wrong. What kind of bird was it if it was a bird at all?

His curiosity getting the better of him, he followed the bird like creature all the way to the children's home and behind the house only to pause at it came into sight. That wasn't a bird....it was....was that a child?

He approached her cautiously all the same, knowing that things were not always what they seemed, but he wanted to know what a child was doing out this late at night flying on....a stick with wings?]

A little late for you to be still awake, isn't it?

[He approaches her though stops a comfortable distance from her. He didn't want to look like a creeper either and so he put on an entertained smile.]

Hoee?

[Sakura backed away in surprise when someone appeared. By the time he appeared, she already dispelled The FLY card so her wand was back to its normal form.]

Uh, umm... I couldn't sleep, so I wanted to look at the stars...

[Yes, that's it. She wanted to see the stars. While holding a pink bird-shaped wand. And something that looks like a Tarot card in her other hand.]

[Styxx stopped approaching her when he saw her surprise, putting his hands up to show he wasn't going to hurt her.]

You were flying.

[A fact, not a question.]

[And cue the most awkward pause. It was one thing to get caught by a friend, but now a total stranger? Now what is she going to do?!]

Ah, um, I, uh, are you sure...?

Well, I'm fairly certain my eyesight is still on point, so I'm quite sure of what I just saw.

[He tries to keep the smile and his hands up.]

Listen, I'm not going to hurt you. Promise. I only look like a monster.

[Considering he's 6'8", he's a monster alright. But only in height.]

[She was too nice to see people as monsters. Her own father and brother were rather tall themselves. She's so smol compared.]

P-Please don't tell anyone... I was told to keep my magic secret.

[There's no point in trying to deny it now. She knows when she's caught.]

[Styxx actually kneels down more to her level hearing that.]

Hey, it's alright. I get having secrets. So yours is safe with me. I give you my word. But you know, you still shouldn't be out this late at night. Especially by yourself. It can be dangerous.

[He's just concerned about her since she's a kid and Styxx actually likes kids.]

I know... I just wanted to see the city from above...

[He's very nice. He reminds her of Yukito a bit. So Sakura feels she can open up a bit.]

But I do try to stay where the ghosts can't get me.

[She means the Ghost-type Pokémon.]

[Oh, he can be a lot more dangerous then Yukito if he wants to, but he's too honorable for that.]

I understand, but you still shouldn't be out at night by yourself.

[Ghosts were not what he was worried about.]

Here, I'll tell you what, if you need to come out at night like this again, why don't you give me a call. I'd feel better if you were at least with someone.

[Preferably someone who could actually fight.]

I'm Styxx by the way. What's your name?

[She won't argue. After all, it was the first time she went out at night without Kero or Li to back her up.

However, she wasn't completely defenseless.]

It'll be okay, we can help each other. I'm Sakura. It's nice to meet you, Styxx.

[Good, cause he would have.]

It's nice to meet you too Sakura. How old are you?

[She couldn't be that old, but most were young compared to him.]

[Yay for no arguments. But indeed, she's pretty young given how small she is. Since her secret is already out and wasn't pressed about it, what harm could there be now?]

I'm nine.

[Yeah, she probably shouldn't even be flying around at night.]

[He's seen weirder things. But even children with use of magic need protecting in his mind.]

Are you here alone?

[She must be if she was staying the children's home.]

[She was quiet for a moment when she heard that question, and her smile quickly faded. It was a twisted reality on her heart, wasn't it? Sure, one positive thing could be that her big brother can't call her a monster anymore. Though it's just one thing out of all the love she otherwise got.

She nodded sadly in response.]

...Yeah...

[Styxx was frowning when he'd asked her but his frown only deepened at her answer even though he'd suspected it. He didn't want to see her sad though, and unfortunately he didn't really have anything he could give her, so instead he reached for one of the pokeballs he had and let out one of the pokemon. It was a Noibat. That came flying over and perched on his arm when he held it out.]

Hey Sakura, I'd like you to meet Seirína.

[He motions for the Noibat to go give Sakura some attention and it does as he wants, flying over to her and perching on her shoulder instead if she let it.]

[She looked up when she heard a sound. It was a familiar sound actually. She jumped in surprise when the Noibat approached, but... it was rather cute for a giant bat. It certainly brought a smile to her face.]

Hi there, Seirina! Hey, is this a Pokémon? I have some too.

[They're in her room, though.]

[He smiled, glad that she was smiling again herself.]

Yes, she is. She's really friendly too. Do you like her?

I do. She's really cute. Her ears look like speakers!

[Pokémon never cease to be interesting looking. It's a shame she didn't get to meet more when they were here.

...Except maybe the Ghost-types.]

I'm glad you like her. Then, would you do me a favor and take care of her for me? I think she'd like being with a girl like you.

[She's flattered, but...]

Hoee?! B-But she's yours and, um- I already have... I don't know if I can take care of four...

[He chuckles.]

Alright then. How about she stays with you and comes back to me when she needs to then.

[He was mostly leaving the pokemon with her to keep an eye on her for him anyway. He wanted to make sure she didn't get into trouble, and he knew he couldn't be around all the time, so she was like his backup.]

She'll just be here in case you ever need help, okay? If something happens, she can always come and get me.

Okay! I'll be happy if she comes to visit me often. Leo, Herdy and Happy would like that too.

[It makes sense if a flying Pokémon helps watch. Litleo, Herdier and Happiny can't travel fast if anything did happen.]

Alright then, she'll visit you very often then. If you ever need help, you can just tell her to come find me and I'll come to you too, okay?

The place that springs to mind would be the Crystal Caves in Everglade. A treacherous spot in a wicked city; the fog bars entrance and sight every so often, so fortune must allow passage. But once you do enter, why, it's-

[Then he remembers who he's talking to]

Sakura? Is that your name? Aha, welcome back, if so.

[A cave full of crystals sounds really pretty, but...what if it's haunted? Everglade has lots of scary things in it, doesn't it?

But then, him calling her by name caught her off guard.]

Hoee? Sakura is my name, but...

[Darn, another amnesiac. Thankfully they weren't close enough to earn much upset.

...okay he's a little upset, but not enough to insist on it.]

Ah, sort of! You were here once before, and don't remember. It's all right, think nothing of it. I'm Ted.
