Everypony... everyone, I'm... I'm going to need your help on this.

Someone new came here - her name's Sunset Shimmer. Where I came from, she was one of my dearest friends. One of my earliest students in the ways of friendship. She was impulsive and a little hungry for power, but I was able to get through to her, to the point where her old teacher... my old teacher as well... welcomed her back with open hooves.

But, that's not the Sunset that's here now. She's from the past. My past. She's a Sunset that is motivated by power. She tried to use an artifact from my world to turn those from another dimension into her own personal army. She doesn't have it and, since it's mine, I don't have it, either. I can't rely on the original method to help her.

She's not a run-in-the-mill mustache-twirling villain; she's someone lost in her own desire to show that she can be the best. If she tries something, you have to stop her, but do not throw her in jail. Because she's from the past, I don't know what may happen if you all try something like that. I don't want to risk this world being reduced to a wasteland because you want to treat her like a common criminal.

You need to redeem her. Show her that friendship is a much better thing than a jail cell!

I can't do this alone. I don't have the means to do so, so I need all of you to help me...

Thanks, just... yeah, she is a handful. When I first dealt with her, I was out of my league - she had essentially had all she needed and I was by my lonesome. Here, we’re on equal footing...

[And she sighs.]

Yeah. And it’s worse here because I was able to stop her once and set her straight, but I don’t have the means to do so here...

I see. Well, I can offer some advice on that.

The more you push, the harder they'll push back. You need to gently tug back and forth in a relationship.

[Twilight’s gonna blink, but try not to react too badly to that.]

I'll state it plainly. If she hurts anyone, I will have no choice but to bring her in.

I guess that's fair. Just... all I know is that all that will do is cause a cycle of violence we really don't need.

Violence is a part of life. That said, I will try to avoid it.

[Satou is very sympathetic. After all, if a Mikale came from their past then she wouldn't want for anyone to hurt him. Maybe put him in his place, but never maim her bestie.]

What kinds of stuff might she try? Does she have a power or a weapon? We could try to take it from her, or nullify it.

Not right now, no. At the period she's from, magic wasn't introduced into her world fully. But, that won't stop her. She'll find a way to get magic her own way.

I see... Well. That's a good start, at least. As long as she isn't using magic right now, I think she can stay out of jail.

It's hard to live in Genessia alone, too. What if we could get her to live with someone? That would be more comfortable than the commons, and a good way to keep an eye on her.

That would be a good start. We just need to make sure the person isn't... well... gullible. She was a good talker, so she could certainly stir up trouble, especially if she was partnered up with the wrong person.

Ah, she's one of those kinds, huh?

Hmm... In that case though, it'll be really important to keep an eye on her. If she makes friends on the wrong pretenses, it'll just make her sad when she becomes nice again. I don't want her to start feeling guilty...

As I told her, I'll help her out anyway I can.

But you can't force a redemption on anyone. You can only be there for them, and try and show them that there's a better way to do things.

And hope that that will be enough.

I guess... I'm so used to how things are back home.

Well, there's nothing wrong with learning a new way of approaching a problem, is there?

[Well, this hits somewhere close to home for Liora, too. At least in the sense that in her mind, Erebus is too powerful for her to actually fight. While trying to become friends with him wasn't the idea she had in mind, she's hoping to reason with him the next time she sees him. She can't really say that power is Erebus's goal, since he seems to have more than enough already. But what is he looking for?]

That's a lot of work to put on everyone here, you know. I understand she will be your friend but you can't expect everyone to play along for what might happen.

I know, and believe me, I wish there was a way to do so without hefting such a problem onto you all, but i’m Kinda worried that if I don’t get her on the straight and narrow soon, it’ll cause a paradox that’ll destroy everything!

Look, I get that paradoxes can be frightening and destructive. I deal with them all the time. But I'm really not sure it's going to be that big of a deal. Not to downplay your situation but this place seems built to accommodate various paradoxes. People from different timelines than others, ahead of time, behind time, from different universes entirely...

I have two other mes living here concurrently with myself and if that isn't a pairofdocs I don't know what is.

Gotta warn you, though, I'm no expert when it comes to emotions. In fact I'm about as far from one as you can get. So I can't really make any guarantees here.
