[ACTION]
I. - Morning, Flash Bandits - (Closed to Twelfth Doctor)
[Some days, there was more to her shift tasks than merely sorting equipment and order forms. Like the days when she got to experiment with a few other tools of the trade.]
[That particular day, it was foam boards and reflectors. The latter, in particular, had captured her interest all the more when she realized it was a collapsible 5-in-1 model, with fabric covers allowing for everything from reducing contrast and softening the quality of light, to varying degrees of highlights, to warming effects.]
[Her current test model was her little Natu, who sat on a stool and occasionally chirped with glee at the attention he was receiving. Abra, meanwhile, was sleeping at the base, determined to follow Hikari as often as possible while still managing to get his daily 18 hours of rest. Even if it meant sleeping on the job. Natu seemed to chirp all the brighter each time a new type of light was shone on it, complete with the flashing lights and soft clicks of Hikari's camera.]
[Pulling away, she took a glimpse of her latest shot and smiled sheepishly.]
I guess it's a good thing I have the fast-action compatible model. You're just not going to sit still, are you?
Natu! Na Na! Tu!
II. - Afternoon, Moonbucks - (Closed to Takeru)
III. - Out & About, Genessia - (OPEN)

[As she approached the coffee shop, Hikari wondered if she should have felt more nervous. This was her first major booking, after all. A request for some promotional shots for the cafe, featuring one of their currently more popular employees.]
[...then again, as a smile threatened the corners of her lips...that was probably why she wasn't nervous. Because the subject she would be shooting was one very familiar to the viewfinder of her camera.]
[Shifting the weight of the numerous bags she'd been carrying, Hikari paused just long enough on the street corner to note the several teenaged girls who were gathering around the shop window. Something inside clearly had them excited, because they were whispering among one another, occasionally shielding their eyes from the outdoor glare as they continued braving the cool weather in favor of something just beyond the slightly reflective glass' surface.]
[Of course, once Hikari realized how many of those faces she recognized, she understood why they were there.]
[Still, that wasn't about to stop her from her assignment. In fact, it was with an increased amusement that she approached the main entrance, currently locked and with a "closed" sign on it--no doubt in order to prepare for that afternoon--and knocked loudly.]
[There were more whispers coming from the teen girls, including a few words here and there she even picked up. All of them curious as to who she was and what she was doing there....]

III. - Out & About, Genessia - (OPEN)
[For once, the fourteen-year-old was walking around the city without her usual camera bag. If only because she had a handful of others...as did her ever-faithful companion, Abra, who looked a little wobbly as it walked along beside her, carrying a bag of its own.]
...are you sure you're alright with that?
Abra!
[Hikari smiled warmly at Abra before pausing, moving to one side of the sidewalk so she could kneel down and peer in both their bags. Understanding what she meant to do, Abra held his out so she could get a better look at what was inside.]
Let's see...we should have enough Gaffer's Tape to last a while...I bought four different sizes of clothing pins...we didn't need any Cinefoil...and I got a few extra clamps just in case.
Do you think that's everything?

Do you think that's everything?

no subject
I always wear a hat to work, so yes.
[He ruffled his hair for a moment, making it even messier for the moment before removing his hand.]
Is it that bad or something?
no subject
It's not bad. [To be honest, she usually liked his hair like that. It was cute. Very Takeru-like. However...] But messy hair can be a little trickier to photograph. Here, let me...
[She moved without thinking, really. Closing the space between them until there was almost none left. Reaching up, her fingers delicately brushed at some of the more wild strands sticking up. Doing her best to tame them, even though she knew it would be a mostly futile effort. Still, when she was done...her face felt hot, but at least she'd managed to accomplished what she needed to. For now.]
...that's better.
no subject
[Not like he really knew anything about that kind of stuff, but like a good boyfriend he let her sort out his hair a bit, or at least sort it out as best as she could anyway. Once she was done, he couldn't help but reply.]
Thank you, dear. [While it had been going on, the girls who could see in from the window seemed rather surprised at how close the two seemed to be but were unsure of what exactly was being said.]
no subject
...Takeru...
[Despite the low mutter, she was losing a fighting battle with a smile as she turned away. One within full view of both him and the girls outside, who were alternating between staring at the two of them and exchanging words inaudible beyond the glass]
I-I had a list of shot request for today. [Cursing the fact that he had her stuttering, she took a breath and steadied herself enough to continue, this time with her usual calm manner:] One of them had you holding up a latte design--I remember you said you knew how to make a few simple ones, right? Do you think you could make it now, while I set up the lighting?
no subject
[He muttered slightly for a moment, was it still strange to say such a thing for them? Probably was and more so since it was something said rather publicly, but it wasn't long before his focus was on the other things.]
I did say that, might take a small while, though. [He wasn't sure what design to go with really, but off he went behind the counter to start sorting something out, the design he went for was, of course, a heart, to him it just made sense on an advertisement front. He looked over for a moment, once to the window where the girls where still standing and watching him intently and once to Hikari to see how far she had gotten and if she might have needed help or not.]
no subject
[Him needing a little time to get his drink prepared actually worked in her favor and by the time he would be done, she’d already have out both collapsible stands, the reflector sheet, and the black foam board for light blocking.]
[Her last task involved using the clamps to set up strategic spotlights. Highlighting a table in the customer area as well as the main counter.]
no subject
He looked down at the latte in front of him, pondering over it for a little bit longer while staff were doing various other things, he soon raised his arm to try and get her attention.]
Hikari, I have finished. I hope that it's okay.
no subject
[But she did pause long enough to look at his work. Smiling brightly in satisfaction when she saw his creation.]
It looks perfect.
We can shoot that one by the window so the natural lighting really shows it off.
no subject
[Because more often than not when one moves it, he found it potentially changes shape, but really he figured he could just do it again when he gets there.
So carefully his hands wrapped around the cup, carefully moving to pick it up and gracefully move it over to the table by the window. Once he places it down he gave a small wave to the girls who were lingering by it.]
The tricky part is over at least. Is the positioning okay?
no subject
[She pulled out the reflector screen; a flat, white circle made of some kind of fabric meant to redirect light. This, she clipped to the top of one of the light stands, bringing it over and positioning it so it reflected a softer light from the windows at precisely the angle desired.]
[Out of the corner of her eyes, she caught him waving to the girls and smiled. Though it took a second longer than usual for said smile to appear.]
Can you hold this for me? Just keep it as steady as possible.
no subject
Will do, cutie. [He chuckled slightly, he was trying to make it hard to tell if he was generally being honest, or being a major troll. But he couldn't help but find it fun regardless. Even if they only started dating six days ago, for him, being like this felt somewhat normal. More nerving than anything, but oddly normal.
He was making sure to focus on what she asked for him, holding it steady as anything.] This okay? [He was holding it in the place he was sure he was meant to but wasn't exactly sure.]
no subject
[Which she did. A little.]
[But not before getting her revenge: scrunching her nose at him in an obviously playful manner, she discreetly turned he flash of her camera on and clicked the button without bothering to check through the view finder. Less concerned about getting a good shot of him than simply flashing the light his way.]
no subject
Sorry, sorry.
[The dot were still there, give him a few moments before he finally seems to be fine again.]
I can't help it.
no subject
...actually, that came out pretty nice.
[She moved around the table to show him. Once the dots faded, of course. But when they did, he would see a fairly nice candid shot of his expression as he reveled in his previous tease. Holding the reflector screen steady, and bathed in (mostly) natural sunlight. In fact the only major difference with the flash was that his hair and skin appeared fairer than their usual respective shades.]
I think I might even keep it.
no subject
If you do, then considering it a memory of you catching me off guard. [A pause.] Also, we could take the picture before the latte gets cold because someone is going to have to drink it after and no one wants a cold latte.
no subject
[Spoken in a tone that implied a reminder that they were currently the only two people in the cafe, and she was the one holding the camera.]
[That said, even as she spoke, she repositioned herself to get a good shot of the drink. Attempting a few different focus settings and light directions. She gave Takeru instructions only once, and it was a request to shift the stand a few inches to one side. From there, she took another five shots before stepping back.]
no subject
I made it for you. But if I have to drink it, I can always make another for myself and we can match.
[Now that was him being honest, even the tone of his voice stated as such as he had gone to move away.]
no subject
That’s...really sweet of you.
[Though it did put her in a slight predicament now, because how was she supposed to turn down his drink when he was being that sweet?]
We could drink them together. But I meant for a photo—as in, who was going to drink it as part of the shoot.
no subject
[Plus it doesn't take that long and he was going to make his slightly different anyway for his own tastes. He goes to walk over to behind the counter once again before he starts to make another for himself, soon returning, hands either side of the cup and a soft smile on his face.]
Now did you want me sitting down?
no subject
Actually...sure. Let's try a couple shots of you sitting down first. Enjoying a cup of your own creation.
[She would have to reposition herself, of course. Deciding it would make more sense to have the background of the shop, including the counter, in view. Which meant a bit of light adjusting. So while Takeru took a seat, she moved a couple of the light stands out of the way before coming back to the table. Her back was now to the girls outside, ignoring the half curious stares, half glares they were sending her as she took a seat across from him.]
[For the best angle, of course.]
[She did need to scoot the chair back a little bit, however, in order to get more of his surroundings in frame. So the chair slid against the floor as she readjusted her lens. Playing with focus and getting a fairly even balance between the fore subject and everything in the background.]
no subject
He watched her movements keeping an eye to see how far she was before and only when he was positive in her movements that she was ready did he even pick the cup up, taking a sip. Even if he was wrong he still did need a drink.]
no subject
[Unfortunately, after the first couple of shots...Hikari's mouth twisted and she placed the camera down.]
You're too stiff.
[She pulled the chair back in and rested her arms atop the table. Smiling at him as she reached for the drink he'd made her. It was still just warm enough to cause a pleasant sensation as it trickled over her tongue and down her throat.]
Don't worry about doing anything in particular. Pretend like it's just the two of us, and we're hanging out after work.
no subject
Sorry, I thought I was okay... Guess I was not. [He laughed slightly before giving off a small smirk.]
Does it make this a coffee date then?
no subject
If you want it to be.
no subject
[Ask somewhat seriously, because now they were on that line, do the things they would normally now count as a date or still a gettogether when it was just the two of them? Without thinking much he had already taken a sip of his drink after he finished his sentence.]
It's... admittedly still a strange thing to say.
