The Contract [closed]
WHO: Zeref & Suigintou
WHAT: Suigintou finally corners Zeref, and won't take no for an answer when it comes to being her medium.
WHEN: Back-dated to after the pageant.
WHERE: On his way back to Fayren.
WARNINGS: None.
That was one of the most humiliating experiences of his life. He was sure Silver was out there watching somewhere, not to mention the rest of Fairy Tail. Mavis was one of the judges, and so was Suigintou. Zeref felt like one of those mages being chased by paparazzi from Sorcerer's Magazine; how so many other people enjoyed that spotlight was completely beyond him. One of the many reasons why Zeref shied away from the spotlight and didn't belong to any Guilds. He hated being on a pedestal, regardless of the nature of the pedestal.
Zeref's little spot near the lake in Fayren was calling to him at this point. Having gotten rid of those outfits he wore during the pageant and reclaiming his own, comfortable robes, he stayed o the side-streets of Genessia City and went down many a dark alley. Any thugs or monsters he met on the way knew well enough to stay away from him at this point; after what happened the last time, would-be muggers knew full well to steer clear of him if they knew what was good for them.
He'd be sending a message to Silver later that evening to discuss their next move. For now, Zeref just wanted to sleep. To say it had been a long day would have been the understatement of the era, at least as far as he was concerned.
He was almost to the archway to Fayren. Zeref was passing by a department store, but paused when he noticed the glass of one of the nearby windows beginning to... quiver. Like water that had just had a rock dropped into it, ripples were spreading across the panes. Zeref's eyes narrowed; he knew full well what was happening.
"I should have known you would follow me, Suigintou," Zeref said, as the rippling effect of the glass intensified, forming an N-Field door. "I'm guessing there's a reason you aren't going to just send me another message over the network?"
