Hello, Genessia. I have some pretty exciting news. I'm moving out of Genessia Commons. If you need I'll be living in the apartment building right behind me from now on. It's a lot closer to work than the Commons.

[Mami giggled.]

I must say, I'm excited to have a kitchen again.

Look at this place... It's as big as the pictures made it look!

I am looking forward to starting to accumulate decorations for it. I haven't bought a lot to move in yet, really. I can't wait to see what it'll become for us.

After the three of us move in, how about I make us all a celebratory cake!

She bought them impulsively on the way here. Please, Mami, take care of her wallet.]

Yes! And then later we can go shopping for more decorations! [Nope sorry, responsible Mami's not here right now.]

Ahh, I'm so excited! This is going to be so much fun... And Nova City is like a scifi novel or something. I wonder if the doors talk, like in the movies?

That would be interesting. Although, I don't know if that will be the default setting, or if it is, if we'll want to keep it talking.

Apparently, the windows can look out to different scenes. I wonder if we can get a scene like Mitakihara, or if they are general images.

Or maybe things we've never seen before? Wouldn't it be romantic to fall asleep surrounded by stars? Or up in the clouds?

[Madoka is only making herself even more excited. She is determined to enjoy this normal girl life with Mami, especially with these cool, scifi twists!]

It really would be. It would be like we were floating. Maybe we could also sometimes switch it so it looks like we're at a beach house on vaction! Or in a magical forest or an underwater city.

[Madoka unlocks their front door and is blown away all over again. Her mouth falls open with awe.]

I love this place already! We can do a lot with it I think.

Woah..this is a huge place, a lot bigger than the other one..

[Madoka twirls around to face her friend in the doorway. Throwing her arms in the air, she gives a little squeal of joy. Yes, Madoka squealing. But this is such a dream. It's what she wanted, if not for the cruelty of reality.]

Is the kitchen big enough, Mami-san? A-And... wow... We'll have space for a tea table here...!

The kitchen is perfect, there's plenty of room! I'd definitely like a tea table.

[She started making her way over to the bedrooms to check them all out.]

Cooking does have a certain amount of adventure without a kitchen... I will not miss such an adventure.

Neither will I. I actually gave up on making good food in the Commons after a few tries.

Baking with a full kitchen again will probably be one of my favorite things.

I resorted to camping. It would have been better if I had not grown used to a certain amount of convenience.

Do you have a favorite dish?

I tend to bake a variety of dishes, but I've been told my peach pie is delicious. I also really like baking cakes. They go really well with tea.

I've also been trying to perfect a macaron recipe. [But the shells are so tempermental/]

I take it you enjoy cooking, then?

I do! I especially love baking sweets. I've been told I'm quite good at it.

Perhaps after I get settled, I'll bake something for you. [She wants a lot of tea parties, okay?]

I would be honored, but you needn't trouble yourself over me. I've never been an ideal house guest.

It's no trouble. [She really doing this for herself.] It's good to enjoy time off while I have it.

[She still does daily patrols though.]

... Well, if you're going to insist on it. Then I insist that I be allowed to bring something to compliment the cake.

I think that would be fine. Ah, what cake should I make?

I wouldn't know. The only baking I've had recently is that of my mother, and they've all been charcoal flavored pastries.

I will make strawberry shortcake then! I promise to do my best with it.

The one major advantage to moving out of the commons really. Having a kitchen to make stuff that isn't just microwave dinners.

Yes, I was getting a little tired of having to choose between microwave dinners and eating out.

Do you cook a lot?

I was kind of lucky. Someone who was opening a shop left there rice cooker... For some reason, they never came back for it.

[It was a gift apparently, he figured out later. So he made sure to thank her back at Christmas.]

Sometimes, I mean back at home I would have to cook for myself when mum was late with some assignment. Sometimes quick cooking was just easy.

Oh yes, quick cooking is quite easy. Although when I have time, I do like to try out more complex recipes...

It's nice to have a varied menu, isn't it?

I don't think I'd be very good at anything complex. My brother would probably do well with those types of things.

But it is nice to have a varied menu if one can.
