So the past few months have got me thinking for a while now. I spent so much time keeping my body in shape and adjusting to this world, but I think I need to find a way to be myself. That and well--

Kinda get a job because he keeps sleeping and missing all the bounties.

[Naoki growls when Pixie speaks up, glaring at her off-camera.]

Anyway, figured I could do something else for a change. Apart from destructive stuff, I got demons that can go fast, heal, fly, etc. If anyone is willing to hire me, I'd be up for something. Or relaxing too. Kinda....kinda forgot how to do that. Haven't even played a video game in what feels like an eternity.

[Pixie now flies into view, crossing her arms.] Well I imagine having demons wanting to munch on you in the middle of a nap can make anyone like that.

Uai watches silently until they finish, then speaks up.]

I'm not sure about employment myself... but sounds like you come from quite the place. Might as well take advantage of the calm here.

It sounds like this 'Holodeck' is a public space. You would just need to go there, I believe. Are you familiar with virtual reality?

Not really. The closest was this fighting game arcade that sensed movements. It didn't do so well.

Then maybe it would be a worthwhile experience for you to check out. I don't believe it relies on our physical strength, so it's something even an experienced fighter can enjoy starting from scratch with.

[A sly smirk curls onto his lips as he greets this little demon with a nod. He rests his chin upon his hands as he grins into the screen. Augustine looks perfectly relaxed. He's still in his handsome blue brocade suit sans the lovely jacket. Augustine is home after all judging from the lavish dwelling. His hair is artfully wind jostled as usual but it might seem a bit fuller today. A certain someone is in due for a haircut.]

Does that mean I cannot coax you into a rematch, lad?

[Naoki sighs, face-palming a bit.]

Didn't learn your lesson last time?

[Chiaki always seems to be pinged by mentioned of video games, but there was a good reason for such a thing. In fact, she seems to be surprised, mostly because it sounded like he once played games and then stopped.]

You haven't played a video game in an eternity. That means I should offer to take you to one of the arcades or the Game Time Holodeck.

The hell is a holodeck?

[Guess who hasn't seen much sci-fi stuff...]

It makes holograms. It's where some people go to practice fighting, but it also now have a game.

Wait we can actually train with that thing? How does that even work?

I don't fight, so I can't tell you how exactly.

Then how would you play a game on it?

It's virtual, so the fighting isn't real in the game. You, however, see as if you are.

So it's like a simulation or thought-based?

Yes, in a sense. Sorry if I am not the best at explaining.

What do you like to do? My job is with flowers.

[Which she enjoys.]

Goofing around I guess. Usually I just followed my old friends around for things to do. Usually involved gaming.

[There was also reading about the occult but Naoki has had his full of it now.]

Although I admit, I haven't seen flowers in a long time.

Would you like to see some? I've been collecting flowers and seeds since it's now spring time.

[She really likes flowers.]

Sure. Maybe seeing those can help.

I would rather meet in person. Don't think I ever got the chance to do that yet anyway.

[Black lightning suddenly forms behind him, summoning a humanoid creature with wings. The feed cuts off. But true to his word, he arrived on the scene, jumping off the demon and landing a few feet away from her. He waves at her.]

Yo.

Okay.

[She's sitting on a park bench with a basket of flowers at her side and a few buds on her lap. She looks up when she hears the soft whisper of wind shift along the ground.]

Hello. You were very quick.

You can thank Kurama for that. Makes traversing these cities much easier.

[The demon appears behind him. He was more stone-like too, carrying a horn and hovered over the air. He bowed to Terra, showing some respect.

Naoki though walks over to Terra, staring at the flowers. Felt...strange to see them despite how long he was in this world.]

Pretty. Do you collect or plant them?

[Terra looks over at the demon who she assumes is Kurama.] You are very talented Kurama. [Then she turns her attention back to Naoki and the flowers she has scattered across her lap.]

Both.

I help at the flower shop in Attleton.

[The demon nods before fading away, his job complete. Naoki sits by her on the bench.]

So why do you do it?

Do what?

[She looks over at him, her features rendered quizzical at his question. Terra is sure that it has something to do with flowers but she doesn't know what 'it' he is specifically referring too.]

Have a job dealing with flowers. Is it really only just for fun?

It's for fun but I also love giving life to something so beautiful.

[She's seen so much death, this is her way to make up for the hand she had in it.]

It's rewarding.

I admit I don't quite get it still. Was always into other things...

[Kinda took those things for granted.]

[Terra passes him a flower while a warm smile spreads across her lips.]

I've seen a lot of destruction in the world. [She's caused a lot of destruction as well.] This is something simple and beautiful. It is easy to look pass but that doesn't mean you can't see it now.

That flower is yours, a gift from me you to.

[He smiled as he received it and heard those words. They did resonate well. Spent so long seeing nothing but sand until arriving here. That and destroyed buildings and ruined malls. Even the area the fairies took control of lacked greenery.]

Fair point. Seen too much death and destruction back in my world as well. Thank you.

[Terra's smile softens.]

What kinda flower did you give me anyway? I know some types hold meaning...I think.

[Parvati at least told him that much when he questioned her rose.]

That is a daffodil. It starts for rebirth and respect. It's the first flower to bloom during spring. It can also mean high regard or as far as unrequited love. Though there are other flowers more suited to that meaning.

[She knows a lot about flowers.]

It's a very bright flower.

[Seemed to fit him eerily well. He was practically reborn into this new form after all, and respected life more. Well, so long as they weren't being obnoxious or anything. He stared at it before it vanished in his hands, similar black lightning crackling in his hand briefly.]

Sorry if that startled you. Had to put it in pocket space for safe-keeping till I get home.

[Shoving it into his pocket felt very wrong and would have likely ruined it anyway.]

[Terra blinks as the flow vanishes from sight. She isn't expecting it but she isn't startled by it.]

[Her lips curve into a warm smile.]
