[ Well, this was unexpected. Those who know Sertoria are used to her cornsilk blonde hair and azure eyes, but today she looks completely different. Instead of appearing like she does normally, she's rather pale with almost ashen-like skin, white blonde hair and red eyes. And there's another downside: she's rather blind as a bat without her glasses.

She's trying her best to avoid the sun since she knows her skin can burn rather easily without the right kind of sunscreen, but therein lies the problem when she's at the hospital, which she sort of figured was her job here. ]

Dammit...

[ Don't mind her, she's used to this sort of thing. But, she would like help around the hospital. She wants to help people, even if she may look a lot younger than she ordinarily is. ]

[ It's later on in the day, but Sertoria knows that she can't really keep on doing what she is without some form of assistance. For some reason, it feels vaguely like deja vu to be doing that. ]

Does anyone have any glasses I could have? I kinda can't see that well without them and it looks like I forgot mine, ugh...

[ A pause as she thinks on what more to say. ]

Uh, it's probably gonna be a long shot, but if anyone's seen my freakishly tall little brother or my rather loud older brother, that'd be great 'cause they might be able to help me out. And it feels like I haven't seen them in ages.

I think I can, yeah. I really appreciate this, by the way. Normally, I'm not so careless to forget something like that.

[ A pause while she scratches her cheek. ]

I think I'm also gonna need some sunscreen, but I can probably pick that up at the hospital that I work at.

Yeah no problem. I've noticed some people are having difficulties right now. [Which is why she hadn't changed with the egg yet.]

I have some of that. Is 30 SPF okay?

I guess I just got a bad case of curiosity killed the cat in regards to myself. [ She's normally a lot more careful, but maybe this might not be too bad. ]

For now, yeah. I normally get 60 SPF, but I'll make do with 30 SPF. I don't think the sun's that bad.

Ah I see. Well that makes sense, considering the day and all.

60? Okay I'll get you some of that too.

Should've known better, but oh well.

I'll find some way to pay you back for this.

[ It was hard to see if she had the right person from the network, but after squinting for what had to be the umpteenth time today, she walks up to Suguha after making sure that she was going the right way. ]

Er, are you the one I spoke with on the network?

Suguha nodded, and then realized Sertoria couldn't see her.]

Yes, I am. I'm Suguha. Okay, yeah, yikes, you need glasses. I'll get you a good pair.

[ There was a smile on Sertoria's face, despite the fact that she couldn't see that well unassisted. ]

Thank you. Ah, shall we get going? I don't think I should stay out in the sun too much longer.

Yeah here, c'mon.

[With no other recourse, she took Sertoria by the hand.] I'll get you to the glasses place quick.

[ This definitely felt similar and Sertoria doesn't mind it in the slightest. She could thank her again for this, but she always had a feeling that it wasn't necessary. ]

How long have you been here for?

A couple of months or so. I stay in a place in Attleton with a friend of mine and work as a server.

[Sugu turned to her and asked,] Where you do you work?

Ahh, I see. I don't think I've seen you around, actually.

[ Sertoria thinks to herself, rubbing at her chin in thought. ] I think I work at the hospital.

[ It then dawns on her that she hasn't introduced herself. Good going, Sertoria. ] Oh gosh, please forgive me -- I'm Sertoria. It's nice to meet you, Suguha.

I don't use the network that much to be perfectly honst.

[Sugu chuckled a little.] That's fine. Nice to meet you Sertoria. And we're here.

[She opened the door to the eyewear shop and said,] I'll go check you in.

Ah, that makes sense. I... think that might have been my first post on the network. Or it might not have been since the device was registered to me. [ It was all very confusing to wake up here so suddenly. ]

All right. [ Now came trying to find her way to a seat while Suguha was busy checking her in. She's squinting again until she can find a chair by feeling around, moving to sit down. Her hand moves to the bracelets on her wrist, idly wondering why they were necessary. ]

It might not have been. People have been afflicted with random stuff as of late. So it might actually be a thing with yours.

[She shrugged a little, and soon Suguha is back, sitting down next to her.]

The eyedoctor will find you a good prescription. Normally it takes a while but this seems to be a rush job.

I see.

[ Not a lot of things make sense to her right now, but she's trying her best. ]

I'll have to tell him thank you for seeing me on such short notice... and you, as well. Were it not for you, I probably would still be stumbling in the streets.

Yeah, normally it takes a week to get glasses but they seem to make the lenses here. So you should be good.

[ It doesn't take long for Sertoria to be called back, and this time, she'll have assistance to get there. The eye exam goes as well as it should, and the doctor was curious as to why her eyesight was so bad. She simply stated that she had albinism during the entire process, which explained a lot of things.

She's led to the waiting room while the ophthalmologist works on her glasses with her staring again at the jewelry that adorns her form. ]

Hm...

Almost done, [said Suguha looking at the work counter for the speed glasses being worked on counting down.]

Feeling better?

I am, yes. Thank you very much for doing this for me.

[ Honestly, she's extremely grateful. Not everyone would do what Suguha did to help her out, especially back home. ]

Not a problem. I stopped by the nearby store while you were in for your appointment. [She handed over a bottle of 60 spf.]

[Winry herself had been split into two different people. This was currently her nicer half or her positive traits. So have a kind and naturing Winry who couldn't hurt a bug.]

I don't have any, but there are plenty of places that have glasses. Surely they could get you what you need.

[ After Suguha helped her get her some glasses, Sertoria's thankful that she can see Winry clearly without the need to squint. ]

I've thankfully received a pair already due to the generosity of people here. I don't think we've met yet, though. My name's Sertoria and it's nice to meet'cha!

Not long. Four months at least. I mean I arrived in December and it's April now, so I am about right.

It's okay, I'll make due with what I've got.

Uh, it's pretty bad. I can't see things without squinting and sometimes that's not enough. I think I'll be okay, though, as long as I don't run into stuff.

[Park, exterior, mid-evening. Nova City. There are random people passing by, as they tend to do. One in particular however is stationary - and he has a large black case. This case has multiple 'canisters' built into the top, six of them from the look of it. One of them is open.

The man is... somewhat unique in appearance, in that he's got white hair, olive skin, and is wearing most of a full-body jumpsuit. In place of the helmet, he appears to be wearing a set of red-tinted data glasses, and is watching whatever they're displaying intently. As he watches, he's taking verbal notes.]

Performance envelope is within expected parameters. Logic drives are stable in atmosphere; the alternate energy source appears to be holding up well. Entering stage three of testing; flight surfaces are performing as expected. Let's give the obstacle course a shot...

[In the near distance, out in the middle of a roped off area, there are several obstacles attached to poles set up at about head height. They appear to be sized for something bird-like, and indeed there is something of that approximate size flitting about in there. But it's no bird; it looks like a heavily stylized fairy, actually. And it's pulling some truly impressive stunts within that obstacle course, cornering and turning in ways that no traditional craft would be able to match.]

Test article 'Dinah' is performing above expectations. We may be able to move on to production soon...

[ There's no reason for Sertoria to be here in Nova City, and yet here she is wandering since she has no idea what to do other than just walk aimlessly around. Her feet guide her over to the park since it seems like where she should be.

Her head cants to the side with her lips pursing together in thought. This... is definitely nothing that she's seen before and yet, she has a feeling that something of this caliber would definitely have her interests. She wanders over to chaos, her mere presence rather striking as to the kind of being that she is. To someone like chaos, it's evident that she's someone who has lived multiple lives all at once. And yet, here she is in her younger appearance with her pale skin, white-blonde hair along with her bloodshot red eyes.

She listens to what he says before lightly clearing her throat so as to let him know of her presence. ]

Er, excuse me, sir... What are you working on?

[If she can sense chaos beyond the visible layer, she probably sees... well. There's enough power there to rival the Seraphim, even now. Which begs the question - why is a being with that kind of power out here playing with toys?

When he turns to look at her, it's with a gentle smile and eyes that are FAR older than the body they're situated on.]

All I can tell you right now is that it's the prototype for a line of toys. One that I really hope will take off, since they have some other functions too.

[ Even to her younger self, Sertoria senses the amount of power radiating from him. As she is now, she doesn't have a lot of power, but that's because she's significantly weaker than she normally is - especially with her power leashed by her jewelry.

She returns the smile with one of her own, tilting her head to the side just slightly. ]

What other functions do they have, sir?

I created them to defend people against the shades outside the domes. The weapons used last time... they had some pretty serious side effects. By keeping people further away from the shades, I hope to prevent them from taking further harm.

[Oddly, the power that's there is muffled - else she can probably see that it would radiate physically as well as metaphorically. The suit covering most of his body is the only explanation - only his head is uncovered.]
