Interview with Ms. Filliah

This Week the Tribune reporters were able to catch the author of Hearts on Fire for an audio interview to discuss its popularity:

Q: Who are your target readers for this series?
A: Teenagers and adults both - anyone who's had their hearts set on adventure but weren't able to. Anyone who's loved someone close to them but been too afraid to say.

Q: The male lead seems incredibly similar to my neighbor, Stu. Is Stu your inspiration for Katsuo?
A: Wh... N-No, I'm afraid I don't know that person - there was someone else entirely that is my inspiration for N..Katsu..o.

Q: There are rumors of a big screen adaption of this book under production, can you confirm this?
A: Ahahaha, something like that would be not anytime soon I assure you. The thought is pretty exciting, but right now I can honestly say those rumors are untrue.

Q: You may or may not be aware of the shipping blog 'Katsuo_and_Frey_4eva' that has recently exploded in popularity, over three thousand followers, due to the scene in which the two shake hands. It appears a large number of fans have taken this as a sign of a romantic plot twist. Your thoughts?

Help Wanted!

Sienna Entertainment, in a merger with Squealix Gaming Arts is proud to announce a dynamic new gaming system in the making that will puts you the player into the game. The Veer 500 works surprisingly close to virtual reality, but before the console can be released, we are in need of several volunteers both as playtesters and models for the first game of the year.

Oh, I definitely specialize in magic! I got the juice, babes! In my world, I was a bio-exorcist...scaring you living folk out of ghost's houses, ya know? Not so sure I want to pursue that here. Not really sure I'm ready to commit to a full-time job, as if I was alive...or some undead working stiff.

- December 25 Christmas. Celebrates the birth of Jesus and has gotten really complex since then.
- HALLOWEEN Erm. This has a lot of mixed up history. It's a hodge podge of a bunch of different religious/weather, economic stuff. BUT In modern times, it's celebrates being scary and you get FREE CANDY! Oh, October 31st.
-Easter. Jesus resurrects himself, which is one hell of a lot spiffier than being resurrected by someone else, know what I mean? I may not be the best Catholic, but the guy does rock. Um, date for this changes a bit. I think they draw straws to determine which Sunday it will be each year.
-Hanukkah. It's a Festival of Lights thing for those of Hebrew descent. Celebrates not running out of oil at a crucial moment. Probably should be celebrated by Christians too, since it's about a miracle God did, I don't know. Not sure when the exact date for it is. December, I'm pretty sure.

Name me one major holiday celebrated by a large group of people that is not historical and/or commercial??

Don't know what you're getting at here, but I hope this helps. Oh, the job thing? If I have to get one, I want something that pays good. I got too much juice to waste on cheap, manual labor. I only do expensive, manual labor!

Satsuki has no idea who this is right now, but it's going to be pretty clear once the Beauty Pageant happens.

For now, though, she just sighs; this is really really out there. Why you do this?

1) Age: Physically 18 but if you count my last life plus the current life plus however long I spent in the afterlife all summed together, I'm not saying because it's rude to ask a lady her age! [ That text totally went into the margin... ]

3) What career do you wish to pursue?: Teacher. (That's where I am though.)

-Tanabata (7/7). Historical holiday. Celebrated with a festival. You get to wear yukatas and have sparklers, put wishes on bamboo trees. It's traditional that all of the men have to race wearing only fundoshi.
-Obon. (8/13-15). Historical day. Also has a festival. This is for remembering deceased ancestors. It's said that the afterlife and the world of the living are close enough on Obon that the dead can pass over and spend time in the world of the living as ghosts. It's bullshit though. There is nowhere in the afterlife that you can do that. I was there.
-New Years. I'm not explaining this one.
-Valentine's Day (2/14)/ White Day (3/14). Commercial holiday. This is the day that my boyfriend regrets liking someone who can't make chocolates, but still owes me presents on White Day. I put them both since they are holidays that go together.

8) Would you be interested in forming an after school club/sports team?: I don't know. I teach kindergarten, so I could probably supervise one!

A Huntress is a combat-style career which involves the protection of humanity against the monsters of Grimm in my world. Each hunter or huntress designs and forges their own weapon, then if they qualify they are accepted into an appropriate Academy for training. I am a student of Beacon Academy. Because of this, combat training needs can vary. Personally, I utilize a combination of both physical and magical, utilizing a Multiaction Dust Rapier that allows for rapier-style attacks and the use of Dust. Dust is an energy propellent refined from the quarries that can be used for various things, but in the case of a Hunter or Huntress, combat elemental magic. I also specialize in Glyphs as my semblance, a special skill that each hunter or huntress possesses as an extension of their Aura.

-Day of the Dead. I've traveled a lot and I always thought this was a good version of a holiday to look back on the deceased. It originated in Mexico, but it's celebrated other places.
