[The feed opens with Temari facing away from the camera, as if there's something interesting beside her. The room was dimly lit, but to the observant eye, they'd notice Temari's eyes were very red. Her lower lids sported a dark grey shade, as if Temari hasn't slept for days. Her breathing was uneven, as if exhausted from running. And knowing Temari who runs every day, being breathless is something novel for her. But she kept a brave face as she addressed the feed.]

To all those who knew Sai, he has disappeared. He is nowhere within all five cities. If you have commissioned him for anything, I regret to tell you it will no longer be finished.

[Then a brief pause. Again, to the observant eye, they may notice a tear or two escaping her eye even if she looked angry rather than lonely. Her brows furrowed at her next words.]

To all those who knew my brother, Gaara. He is no longer here. They've both disappeared. I regret to inform everyone that any responsibilities to friends, the city and the employer that he had, can no longer be completed.

[Coming home from the hospital one day and not seeing her little brother was the most disappointing thing for Temari. She could survive anywhere for as long as her brothers were there with her. But she only had Gaara, and now, he was gone.]

I regret to inform everyone that they can no longer be found within the five cities. I've checked. Twice. [More than twice.] Hopefully they may have found a way to go home.

I'm sorry Ishtar. But I tried looking for Gaara for over a week now.

It seems like he will no longer be with us. He may have gone home, because there are no traces of him. Not even the wind could give me clues as to where he is.

Likely, he found his way home. At least I hope he did.

Seeing as two of our housemates are no longer with us, that means you have the choice of two bedrooms without having to share it with anyone. Since obviously, I'm taking the other room to myself. [The master bedroom, obviously.]

Also, though it shouldn't be a problem, we're splitting the bill for the house to ourselves until we find more housemates. Either way, our rent is still very affordable. Any questions?

[ he and azula have never really been dependent on one another, though he can see azula becoming reliant on his presence and he still wasn't too sure on what to make of that. ]

[She raised a brow, but it didn't seem as scrutinizing as it should be. It was more on her just being curious.]

I should be happy. At least he's safe with our ninja army and my other brother. But my brothers are my world. I've trained hard since I was young to serve my village and to protect my brothers. Every day, I grew strong just to make sure no one can ever touch my brothers, specially Gaara.

We're royalty. Being siblings doesn't mean we had the luxury of being able to act like siblings. She had her household, I had mine.

[ he shrugs, because he and azula were never really close growing up and he didn't really think much about that until he saw how sokka and katara were around one another. zuko never had a good example of how a sibling relationship was supposed to be until he joined the avatar. ]

It's okay to be sad, though. Being without someone you're used to being with can be hard. [ zuko thinks of his uncle. ] Very hard.

[Temari finds it in her to chuckle a bit at the thought.]

It's never an easy thing. My father was similar to a King? At least in comparison to other worlds. This is because among everyone who lives in our village, my father is the strongest. He is one of the five strongest people in our whole world when he was still alive. Thus people looked up to him and feared him.

As the eldest, the moment I could walk I had to know how to run. I had to be ruthless and strong. I had to learn everything to make my father proud and make sure that people did not view me as a disappointment. [Truth be told, she was already born a disappointment. She wasn't compatible with the Shukaku, and she was also a girl.] I had to be the best.

This made growing up with siblings very hard. I had to be stronger than them. I had to make sure I was never left behind. While at the same time, since my mother died, I had to make sure I fulfilled the role of being their emotional support.

...that sounds a lot like my sister, actually. I'm the oldest, but Azula... She was better. I was a late bloomer, and she started bending before I could.

[ he could get into how he lost his mother, too, or how competitive azula was, but this isn't about him and his life. this is about her and the family and friends who've gone home unexpectedly. zuko's learned enough to know when to not make a situation that has nothing to do with him about him. he isn't his father. ]

Oh yes. I know how that feels! My baby brother is so strong, that if and when he gets emotional, you can expect the whole city of Genessia to be nothing more than a dessert wasteland. That's how powerful he is.....

[Then she quirks up at the name.]

Wait, are you telling me you're related to that girl who set the lobby of Regency on fire?

I mean, I saw her on the feed. But mostly, the employees were my patients.

[She laughs a bit at that. Hopefully, he'd say that he isn't related to Azula.]

[ zuko's good eye went wide before his gaze was cast down at the ground, having realized that he hadn't yet told temari that azula was his sister. he was going to, but work and keeping ~~tabs on~~ his sister company took up more of his free time than he realized.

with a grimace in place, zuko looked back up. he nodded. ] Yeah... Actually. That's, um, that's my little sister. Princess Azula of the Fire Nation. She's a little too used to the want-take-have part of being royalty, but I took care of it. I talked her down and put out the fires she started. She should be less of a problem, now.

I would be too. But, when I had my brother here, instincts kicked in. Instead of raging, my main priority was to keep my brother safe. To keep everything around him safe so he won't feel the need to lash out at everyone here.

Don't worry. [A smile.] None of the patients died. If it were me on the other hand, I think the hospital would be full of decapitated corpses. After all, my father taught us never to show mercy. Kill your prey instead of making them live their lives in shame.

My father taught us the same, but he and I don't always see eye-to-eye. [ he can't help the bitter snort that follows that. eye-to-eye, like how his father almost robbed him of the eye he can barely open since he put a fistful of flames in his son's face. ] I tend to agree more with my uncle's philosophy. If there's a diplomatic solution to be found that spares lives, it should be explored. Besides, this isn't the Fire Nation. Our way of doing things shouldn't apply to a world that's not our own. My sister doesn't have the authority here that she wishes she still had.

[ a shrug, because zuko walked away from this life before he was even brought here. ] Nor do I.

[Temari simply nods and listen to everything Zuko had to say. Those were things they found out only after their invasion of Konoha. At that moment, it became clear to Temari that it wasn't just her duty to take care of Gaara because she was given a direct order. It was her duty to protect him because they were siblings and he had the loneliest childhood among the three of them.]

I could only imagine how tough it will be for the two of you. Being a Prince and Princess and then taken away from your world. I know I felt the same way. It's tough to be taken away from a world you know very well.

However, that doesn't change the fact that you are brother and sister to each other. No matter what evil things my little brothers do, or are capable of, I will still choose their side. I will try to reason with them and stop them from causing more harm to themselves or others unnecessarily, but at the end of the day, no one can ever make me turn on them. Because those two boys are my only family. The only ones who know me for me, and still love me.

[ zuko nodded, because he couldn't bring himself to verbally agree with her. he wasn't on azula's side back home. he left. they were enemies again. if forced to choose between his sister and the avatar a second time, he'd be standing firmly behind aang. ]

I'm sorry I'm babbling here. I guess, I'm just getting sentimental. You're lucky to have your sister here. If I were you, enjoy it while it lasts.

For now, I think I'll rest. But I'll catch up to you soon enough. I'll treat you to some drinks. I know a great place in Everglade.

[ lucky. that was one way of putting it. zuko was torn on how he felt about azula being here. there was the part of him that was grateful for someone from his own world who understood what it meant to be both of sozin's bloodline and a firebender, but on the other hand... azula being her was almost more trouble than it was worth. almost. for now. he didn't really know how to feel about it. ]
