[So... this was different. As much as he was more or less used to dealing with other-dimensional weirdness, Dick Grayson had never actually woken up in another dimension with no memory of how he got there, with a box on his chest. He took his time going through the things in the box and the cavern in general, as much as he could, once he had verified that he was alone there; He was grateful for the information, even if the situation was bizarre enough to ramp up his anxiety in a very different way from, say, fighting a super-villain.
According to the holographic woman, there was no way home from here, at least not that they knew of. At least I'm not in costume, he thought, though he was relieved to have it on him at least, just in case. He didn't know what kind of world this was, and whether they would know who he was, or who Nightwing was, after all. He'd just have to sit tight, try to find a way out, and trust that, if he couldn't find a way out, someone from his dimension would find a way to get to him. Easier said than done, sure, but it could have been worse.
Sort of.
Getting out of the cavern helped, at least. The bright sunlight warmed his hands and face, where he had gone cold as the initial adrenaline of waking up in a new place had begun to fade. He knew he had to keep moving, or else he was going to start worrying, and that wasn't productive. So he got out the phone and started a public video, angling the camera for a decent view.
Viewers would see a handsome young man with an ambiguous skintone, bright blue eyes and black hair that's just long enough to get unruly. He smiled uncertainly, trying to look non-threatening.]
I don't know how often people end up here, but.. hi. I'm new. [Did he just wave at the camera with his free hand? Yes, he did.] I'm Dick. Anybody have any pointers for where to go from here, besides the free lodging?

[She sounds mildly impressed at his knowledge of barriers. A few weeks back she would have accused him of talking out his ass, but she's seen enough around here to know that's a real possibility. Besides, he doesn't sound like he's trying to pull a fast one. What good would it do him?]
Yeah, I guess so. 'Bout the same level of crime you'd get anywhere else, accordin' to the papers. Someone kills someone else, they get a bounty on 'em and that's pretty much that. I think there's some place 'round here you can buy guns if you need to defend yourself.
[Something she needs to look into, the need just hasn't arisen yet, so she's procrastinating.]
Re: [Video]
He listens patiently, and nods when she's finished speaking.] That doesn't sound too bad, at least. I don't think I'll need a gun if it's mostly normal crime around here. [Well, normal for a city that isn't Gotham. If the crime here were "Gotham normal"... he still wouldn't buy a gun, because that just isn't what he does, but he wouldn't blame anybody else.]

[He looks athletic. He can probably football tackle any troublemakers, she's not that worried about him.]
Anythin' else, or should I leave you to it?

[She blinks stupidly at the camera. Someone isn't used to being thanked for anything, and Allie isn't entirely sure how to respond to that. Not that she's usually eloquent to begin with, but... Well, she doesn't smile back, but she isn't defensive or hostile. So there's that.]
See ya.

[...Huh. Dick isn't such a dick after all.]
[Snrk.]
[She stuffs the communicator in her pocket before standing up and heading out. Allie just hopes the welcome wagon that's bound to come rolling in all smiles and rainbows doesn't lull him into a sense of lazy compliance.]
