OTA - Little Amelia Pond, before the world got it odd....

Who: Little Amelia Pond (I will be replying from the journal Still_waiting)
What: Easter Egg event
When: all event
Where: Mostly in the archway River created, but may wander
Warnings: Bratty little kid who is known to bite.

(OOC note: I am still on hiatus, this is me tentatively trying to START coming back to this game.)

Amy had found the odd egg on her bed when she had been changing the sheets... She had touched it and then...

Little Amelia blinked up, looking around with confusion on her face. This wasn't her room. She looked at the walls. No crack. That was good. But where were all her toys and dolls and art? She climbed off of the bed and went to the closet. Adult clothing, but none of it was Aunt Sharon's. Her eyes widened at some of the skirts, Aunt Sharon would have been angry if someone wore skirts that small. She pulled one down. Maybe this was hers, then? Because it was small for an adult but on her it would be longer. Ugh. She jumped up to hang it up again and missed. She finally left it on the floor anyway. She hated skirts.

There were reasons she counted as a boy. And not just because of how much she got into trouble at school. Though that helped.

She left the bedroom and started to explore the house. Creepy. "Aunt Sharon?" she called. Not that she expected a response. Aunt Sharon spent a lot of time away. She explored the rooms, getting more and more confused. River's room made no sense, but some rooms made even less sense; the rooms that clearly had... well... they looked like rooms for little boys except everything was adult sized. She picked up a bowtie in one of them and frowned. She went to the mirror and held it up under her chin, then made a face and tossed it on the bed. There was a fez. She tried that on and looked in the mirror. It fell down her face and hit her nose. She scowled and pulled it off, tossing it on the floor.

Deciding that room was boring, she kept exploring. She found a photo of people on the wall. One... if she could remember her mum, she'd wonder if that was what her mum looked like, but she was pretty sure it wasn't. And then next to her was someone who looked like Rory's dad except not really, because Rory's dad didn't look like that. A cousin of Rory's, maybe? Were she and Rory actually related? That was weird. And between them was some adult with weird hair and a bow tie. She wondered who they all were.

Then she shrugged and kept exploring. She played with the Wii a bit, once she figured out what that was. And found a lot of weird stuff in the kitchen. It was kind of a mess by the time she went back to exploring, carrying a carton of ice cream with her as she went.

As she wandered and ate, she finally found the attic. Aunt Sharon said that good little girls didn't go poking around in attics and cellars. But Aunt Sharon wasn't here... so....

It took Amelia several tries to get the door pulled down, even using the odd hook thing that was on the wall. She jumped back, spilling the ice cream when the stairs fell. But she left the mess and climbed up them, ready to explore and look for whatever might be up there.

Boxes. Lots of boxes. Well... that was boring. She started opening them, and poking around. The first thing that was actually interesting was a long wedding dress and a nice tuxedo that were wrapped up together and hanging in a standing box. She wondered if they belonged to ghosts who filled the clothes at night and danced around through the walls. That was an amusing thought. More boxes were boring and then she hit treasure. A box full of her things! She pulled out her Raggedy Doctor doll and her stuffed Tardis. She found her old suitcase and her hat... but very little clothing. She was wearing her school uniform, so at least it wasn't going out in a night dress and coat like she was still a baby. But she loaded as many toys as she could into the suitcase and took it in one hand. She took her plush Tardis in the other and decided she had enough of exploring the house, she was going to play outside. Maybe she could find Mels....

OTA for wandering outside the archway

Have a little scottish girl, in a school uniform that is mostly an oversized painfully red sweater that kind of makes it hard to look at the rest of her outfit. She had an old knit hat on her head which failed to contain hair nearly as red as her shirt. She was carrying around a battered old suitcase in one hand... and a stuffed blue box that was handmade in the other.

She was stopping to look at different things, finding some of the oddest things interesting, and passing by things other people might find odd.

In the house - locked to those with a key, or a sonic, to allow them into the new Pond home

(Just let me know at what point in her wanderings she sees them!)

Mels had already gone through the room that she'd found herself, and the bag there was filled with things that she'd managed to sneak. After all, she'd figured, it wasn't like the house belonged to someone that they knew. Besides, she only got in trouble if she got caught. Mels had no intention of getting caught after being kidnapped to this weird place. But when she hears a noise, Mels follows it quickly, moving as quietly as she can. It's times like this that everything kicks in, reminding her what she was made for.

But then there's Amy, and Mels yells loudly, always the second loudest girl in school. "Amy!" She's in her school uniform as well, with the sweater tied around her waist, hoping that her mum and best friend doesn't get angry about the bag of stolen things.

She should have realized. Strange place, no clue how she got there. Of course this was somehow Mels' fault. She came thundering towards the sound, arms crossed. "What did you do this time?"

For a moment, Mels just looked terribly offended, and she crossed her arms in front of her, meeting Amy's glare with one of her own. (Literally, because River Song didn't get it all from the Silence.) "I didn't do anything!" There's a defensive note in her voice because this time she hadn't. "I just woke up in this weird place!"

"So did I. So one of us had to do something, and I know I didn't do anything, and Rory's too boring to have EVER done anything, I haven't even found him yet. So it had to have been you," she said. Amelia logic, at its finest.

"Well, it wasn't me." There was a tiny note of anger that always came when she was accused of something that she didn't do. After all, Mels did plenty on her own, and she didn't need someone placing the blame on her when she was innocent. Instead, she cocked her head to one side and gestured to the things that Amy was holding. "Maybe it was the Doctor. Maybe it's his fault."

"I did find these things upstairs..." she said, thoughtfully. "And if I didn't do it, and you didn't do it..." And of course Rory didn't do it... "Maybe. You think he's here and didn't tell me?" she asked, hands on her hips. But she was as excited as much as she was ticked off. She was going to kick his butt for not letting her know, and for not coming back that night. But if Mels could come with them on adventures? That would be so much fun! And she wanted to make him meet Aunt Sharon and her therapists to prove he wa real.

She... supposed they should let Rory come too.

"Maybe. I mean who else do we know that can instantly do time and space travel other than a spaceman?" Still she could see the excitement in her best friend, and Mels felt the same way, even if she didn't have the undercurrent of anger that Amy did. She was interested to see what the Doctor was actually like, and what it was like inside in the bigger on the inside box.

"We're not in Leadworth anymore, though. It looks like London outside."

"Like London? No way! Come on! Let's find where he's hiding!" Okay, now the irritation was getting pushed aside for excitement. She was as far as London, without Aunt Sharon? They were in for it for sure when they got home. So... "Let's make this the most fun adventure ever!"

"It does, it looks like it!" Mels was used to traveling alone, so it was amazing to get to travel with her mum. Especially now. She had a giant grin that was more than a little like Amy's own as she nodded, and she raced to the door. "Where do you think he might be?"

She raced after her. "I don't know! Let's look for the box!" An adventure with Mels! This was going to be fun!

"Do you think we could break into it?!" Mels no. But he does sound incredibly earnest about doing it. Because well, Mels yes.

"We don't need to, I was invited! So I'll get it open and then you sneak in and hide in the library. It has a pool."
polyandrist: (mels and amy)

[personal profile] polyandrist 2018-04-14 10:18 pm (UTC)(link)
"I still don't think there's actually a library in the pool, Amy. It doesn't make sense." Still, she keeps up with Amy, and she's looking around for that big blue box. "Maybe he was just trying to impress ya."
still_waiting: (Weeeeelllll)

[personal profile] still_waiting 2018-04-15 12:26 am (UTC)(link)
"Well, he did like about five minutes..." she conceded. "But he made the crack go away, and the box did vanish. And he ate weird things. So maybe he likes to read on a pool raft?" Raft, rhyming here with daft.

Mels knew how much the Doctor had impressed her mum, so she just nodded a bit before she decided to agree. "Seems like a good way to get books wrecked, though." Says Mels would would definitely drop them in the tub.

She considered then nodded. "Okay, what if we put that powder stuff in the pool, to make it jello? Then the books would bounce instead of sinking."

[personal profile] polyandrist 2018-04-15 07:31 pm (UTC)(link)
"It'd make it hard to swim in though if we did it. I think I'd rather swim in water than jelly. We'd get all sticky and then we'd get into trouble." Not that she minded the trouble bit, it was the stickiness that Alex had a problem with.
