You're in trouble more than any of the other girls!
Who: Tiny Mels (River Song.)
What: Easter Egg event
When: all event
Where: All over because Mels is exploring.
Warnings: Tiny child who is older than she appears to be and also has been trained to kill a timelord, even though she actually doesn't want to.
Mels had left the Pond house (and archway) with an old backpack over her shoulders. The backpack was one that belonged to River Song, but she had no idea who the woman was. Instead it had been emptied of equipment and the canvas had been filled with anything of value that she found in River's room. Honestly, there hadn't been much that had caught her eye, but there was enough that the bag moved with some weight in it. Peeking out from just around the opening there was a dark blue book, well written in and worn, but it seemed important from the place that she'd found it, so it came along.
The child moved with an assurance that she probably shouldn't have, given that she wasn't with Amy or Rory and she didn't feel the need to keep up appearances entirely. Instead, there was the training that she'd been given, making her and her buns look as fearless as she felt. Despite the fact that she was older than her ten year old self appeared to be, Mels tended to run wherever she was going. It got her there quicker, even if it meant that she tended to bump into people along the way.

"All the interesting things are the other way."

"What's so interestin' over there?"

"I don't know... Let's find out." He peers at the child, wondering what might be in the bag, but not going to ask.
"Jelly Baby?" Offers her the bag.

But she does (vaguely) remember her manners when she says, "Cheers."

"Seems like you need a bag of your own." But you shan't have his. "Saving some for later or for a friend?"
And he starts in any old direction, assuming she'll follow and not particularly shortening his strides to get there.

"Saving it for Amy. I always give her and Rory some of my stuff." Because Mels doesn't actually have parents, she pretty much does what she wants, and there's no one around (other than Amy and Rory) to tell her not to have sweets for dinner. So, she always tries to spoil them with that.

"That's rather thoughtful looking after them like that." But he knows she does and he knows they have an interesting connection but he doesn't know how he knows. Curious. Then again things are erased all the time and he feels more fuddled than normal of late.
"And who looks after you?"

"Who looks after you?"

"Me, myself and I."

"Of course not. I find myself excellent company. And what's better is that no one tries to argue with me." Granted if others wanted to sneak in and come along for the ride, he wasn't exactly going to chuck them out.
