Who: Flynn Scifo, anyone else.
What: Flynn arrives in Genessia.
When: Right now.
Where: Nova City
Warnings: None so far.
[This place was different than the previous world he was in; for one, a cataclysm wasn't imminent. That was always a plus. He hadn't run into anybody else he recognized, but it also seemed that nobody else came from Terca Lumireis or the world of Crystallis, much less recognized them off of the top of their heads. That or he wasn't looking in the right direction. In Nova City, Flynn was resigned to living in this new world, since it didn't seem like he would be able to return anytime soon. Still, how many times must he be uprooted and doubt his own sanity? Worrying about it wouldn't do any good right now, and the only thing to do right now would be to get things done.]

She probably looks like a fool, or at least certainly feels like one as she wanders through the area looking for the Pokémon, houndour leashed and tugging her along after the scent. At least it's warmer in Nova City than it is in Genessia, and her clothes aren't as likely to grow people off. While she's never bothered by her backless shirts and sweaters, it does provide just enough interest in others to make her second guess it, regardless of how uncomfortable fabric might be against her back while her wings are hidden.
After a good hour of searching in lieu of lunch, she stops in the middle of the sidewalk, pushing her hair back from her face in frustration before she spots Flynn. She's almost desperate at this point, and while she doesn't want to bother anyone, she'll at least take a chance and ask. ]
I'm so sorry to bother you, but have you seen a... fluffy brown... fox kit running around?
[Because that's obviously the best way to explain to someone what an eevee is, right?]
no subject
Oh?
[Flynn turned his head, and saw the tail turn a corner out of sight.]
Well, yes.
[He turned back to the woman and pointed in the direction he just turned from.]
I believe it's over there. Did you need assistance in retrieving it?
no subject
She turned to follow his motion, then started that way.]
...Probably, if you've got a second, to be honest.
[Lovey's been avoiding her all day. Probably best to enlist in help, even if the eevee is close by.]
no subject
[Flynn briskly moved to the corner to catch sight of the astray Eevee.]
I take it that it's your companion, or do you usually make a habit of chasing down random creatures?
[He said with a bit of a teasing tone.]
no subject
In these shoes? No way, [she half laughs, stopping to look around once more. At least she remembered to bring flats for after the shoot, and she's not having to run around in heels. They were still pretty new, though.] She was an apology gift, I guess. From good old Genessia, for kidnapping me. [Sarcasm, but... it might as well be true. She had gotten the eevee right after she had arrived.]
She's usually... much...better behaved than this...
[Nope, she missed her. There goes the eevee, darting off to the side to run around another bush, despite the houndour's sharp barking!]
Lovey, come on!
no subject
[Flynn wasn't familiar with the creatures, but beast tamers were people to be respected. Nodding as he jogged after the creature, he didn't want to make movements too sudden or they may have startled it.]
Did anything specifically odd transpire?
no subject
[She shoots him a smile, both embarrassed and grateful as the eevee stops again behind another bush and peeks playfully around it at her.] See, Lovey? Look... a new friend, right? [Maybe calling her attention to the man instead will get her to calm down. The little pup does look interested in the blonde and stays still longer than a few seconds at least...]
no subject
It's all right, I'm not here to hurt you.
no subject
Finally...!
no subject
[Flynn chuckles a bit, petting the Eevee as it allowed.]
Were you heading somewhere?
[He turned to Dive.]
You seemed to be in a hurry.
no subject
Oh, no... not really, [the angel admits, pushing her hair back as she watches the two. She won't be taking that golden gaze off the eevee again any time soon.] Just trying to find someplace for lunch, before she ran off.
[The houndour at her feet just huffs. He, for one, is watching Flynn much more closely than the eevee.]
We're not too familiar with Nova City yet, and I didn't want her to get hurt, [she goes on, albeit sheepishly now.] ... I'm Dove, by the way. Thank you for your help.
no subject
[While petting the Eevee, Flynn smiles at the Houndour and with a wave of hsi free hand, invited him over as well.]
Perhaps they're hungry as well, and followed the smell of food?
[Action]
Ah, what a nice nap. It was good to see them again, right Shiron?
Coo!
[Looking up, she noticed Flynn there and she waved at him with a smile. Of course that being said, Shiron the Vulpix went bounding over to Flynn to coo at him directly.]
no subject
Why, hello there.
[He looked up to the young lady]
You have quite the friendly companion.
[
I'm not missing Repede, you're missing Repede!]no subject
[Shiron sniffed Flynn's hand and then leaned in to nuzzle it with satisfied coos.]
I'm Lilie, and this is Shiron. Nice to meet you sir.
no subject
A pleasure to make your acquaintance, Lilie and Shiron; I am Flynn Scifo.
I'm sure that your influence made her turnaround possible.

How about you?

The previous world I was in had it's own systems, but my abilities seem to have reverted back to my home world after arriving here. It's a bit off and confusing, but it will be nice in case anything serious comes up.

[Flynn for a while felt empty without his title of Commandant from Terca Lumireis, and perhaps even now without his friends he met from Crystallis. But he knew he had to endure, and that there were always new opportunities for definitions and meanings in life.]
Did your magic skills also transfer here?
no subject
I know the theory behind it however, so it helps.
no subject
You also must have great empathy with others to be able to connect with non-humans.
no subject
Our land is a symbiotic nature, Alola considers Pokemon our family, rather than just allies.

Though suddenly, the woman stops and idly converses with the creature.]
...I wonder how much longer I'll look like this?
[The pair noticed they weren't alone.]
It looks like we have company. Can we help you, sir?
no subject
[Flynn was taken aback; perhaps because it was him usually asking that question of people.]
I'm fine for now. I didn't mean to bother you.
no subject
[Surely the Pokémon would have liked to have people to perform for.]
If you're absolutely certain, I won't press on. However, do you already know about the mysterious eggs laying about?
no subject
[Everything around here has been new, so it was difficult to isolate any one thing in particular.]
I may have seen some around. Are you looking for them?
no subject
[Her Primarina nods in agreement. Of course, Pokémon usually do agree with their trainers.]
For lack of a better term, I'd say they are cursed.
no subject
Is anything being done about them?
no subject
I try to help where I can, but I have no means to safely handle them without getting a second curse.
no subject
Did you need any help?

[But while her body is a scientific marvel, particularly in how quickly she regenerates no matter what's been done to her, there is still no way for the most brilliant scientist to weave a soul into a homunculus.]
[At least she knows that even utter incineration can't completely destroy her. That was a mild concern given how Colonel Mustang had reacted upon seeing her. He can set her on fire all he likes, but she'll keep coming back so long as he doesn't possess any of her human remains. She doubts he has the locket with her hair in it, so his grudge won't be an obstacle so much as an annoyance.]
[Even so...it's disappointing. She might not have even minded if the incineration had managed to permanently destroy her; after all, death was not permanent in this place. She had nothing to lose, and only one thing she truly wanted to gain.]
[That thing was not Flynn Scifo. And yet, as Lust made her way back toward the Archway, his face and armor stuck out of the crowd like a blazing beacon on a moonless night. There's a faint widening of the eyes and a short pause in her stride the moment she spots him. Two seconds pass. A blink, and her expression falls into neutrality once more. He surprised her.]
[But she can't claim to feel happiness, nor relief, at the familiar sight of the blond knight. It only serves to further confirm what she already knows: she isn't human anymore. Whatever Crystallis did, Genessia had undone. It was a vicious cruelty, but the only emotion it really inspired wasn't sorrow for herself, or pity for Flynn who would surely be disappointed -- it was frustration, pure and simple, at having to start over. Flynn had liked her before. That made him a resource she could use for constructing a new Philosopher's Stone, if she plays her cards right.]
[So, after only a few brief moments of hesitation and deliberation, Lust continues forward, eyes locked on Flynn, as she continues forward to place herself in his path. There's no guarantee that this is the very same Flynn she knew, but it's a possibility. The first step is to search for signs of recognition on his part.]

[However, something seemed different.]
[If she were merely another person altogether, perhaps the original woman she was based on, or perhaps another version of her from yet another world, that would have been simple enough. But in body, this was not the same Lust that he had come to know. Whether or not her mind was the same was another issue exclusively. Wait, she stated that in her home world, she wasn't even human, and coming to Crystallis, she became something else entirely, even if she couldn't accept it as "human".]
[However, that thirty second eternity came to an end, and he knew he had to make contact. To determine whether or not this woman in front of him was the same one he had come to know and grow fond of, or another creature completely.]
Pardon me, are you Miss Lust?
[He tried to keep his calm. But he was hopeful that she would recognize him. This ache was something he wasn't used to, and the wait he had to endure before she answered felt like aeons.]
no subject
[While she doesn't exactly relax, there's definitely a shift in demeanor. The shrewd stare becomes calm and sultry. Even her stance loses its slightly aggressive bent.]
Well that simplifies things, doesn't it~
[Lust smiles, her eyes closed and head tipped forward, and she casually flips back a heavy wave of black hair from her shoulder.]
You didn't use the communicator they gave you. Having trouble figuring out how it works?
no subject
[He shrugs.]
You've always been quick to adapt, though, so I guess it's not surprising that you seem acclimated. That or your poker face is still unrivaled.
[He tried to chuckle at his own observation. Not really a joke, but he wasn't entirely sure of the niceties that came with reuniting with someone whom he held affection for - and although he wasn't sure what was "normal", he was certain that this wasn't in that realm.]
I just got here, so I'm starting all over again, so to speak. Have you been here long, Lust?
no subject
[Amestris might not be the most tech-happy place, but it did have some. If she can figure out how to use a telephone, the communicator isn't much of a struggle. His comment prompts a half-chuckle from her, shoulders hitching once.]
Adaptability and apathy are two sides of the same coin. There was nothing waiting for me in my world.
[And while she's beyond irritated at being deprived of the humanity she had, at least she's not lying in a pool of her own blood at the feet of that damned child.]
[Rather than remain standing in the middle of the sidewalk, Lust angles herself to suggest they walk together. She had no particular place to be, so he gets to decide their path for now.]
A few weeks. Enough to learn how to get by for the time being. What are you doing in this particular city?
no subject
[Flynn took the physical cue and walked alongside Lust.]
For what it's worth, I'm glad to be able to see you again.
[There may come a time when Lust would have to answer for the deeds she committed back on her home world, but for now... just a while longer, he wanted to be by her side.]
I'm still wondering what to do here, whether to contribute or find a way out. However, I'm unsure of how the battles back at Crystallis fared, so I'm a bit reticent in immediately getting involved in another world's affairs.
no subject
[Too bad she never gave a damn about the world, neither hers nor Crystallis.]
It appears we were probably drawn from that place at the same time. I suppose we'll never truly know how things turned out.
[Well enough, she supposes. Their souls aren't being recycled into an endless loop of reincarnation.]
I can offer little in the way of moral platitudes, but information I can do. What do you need to know?
no subject
[Flynn knew better than to expect Lust to offer moral platitudes, and he didn't think it was going to be satisfying pushing a cart sideways.]
I suppose... where is a good place to live, are there people to avoid, who's resourceful, did anyone else we know make it, that sort of thing.
no subject
Choosing an apartment seems to be based on how much income you make. Start with a job first, then see what you're able to afford. I trust you've taken advantage of the free space they allot to newcomers for a month. ...But I believe you'd be most comfortable in Fayren given what I know of your past.
[Which, admittedly, isn't much. It never seemed relevant before. Perhaps she should remedy that, since they seem to have ample time on their hands.]
Few people seem to be enough of a threat that I would recommend avoidance. But if you insist in picking up where we left off, you may wish to steer clear of Colonel Mustang.
[Her dark lips curve into a smirk.]
We don't get along~
[She warned him that all she wanted was to be left alone, but he wasn't so quick to forget his grievances. He'd have to learn to stay away from her the hard way.]
You're the first I've seen from Crystallis, but others may trickle in eventually. Who can say?
[Part of her wouldn't mind seeing Mikleo again, while another very small buried part of herself can think of nothing she'd hate more than his look of disappointment at discovering her true nature. She ignores that latter part.]
Why don't we start with you, and what it is you'd like to do now that you're here? There must be some worthy goal you'd enjoy pursuing.
