2nd Annual Genessia Awards Auditions Foredated to 19th
[Krista had set up the rooms for everyone and honestly, she had been expecting more people to judge, but instead only ended up with one in each and she had little to no time for the others. However, when one didn't turn up for duty, Krista sighed with defeat and had put a sign up for those under the dressed category that it had been canceled.
The young woman had set everything up and had gone to her own desk in order to wait and judge. She just hoped the other was coming to judge though as she had her pen and paper ready to go for the areas she was meant to be doing.]
OOC Note: How this will be done is people tag into the respective areas they were nominated in. Whoever is the judge of that area will then give a score out of 10. The results of who come in 1st, 2nd and 3rd will be edited here later when everyone who wants to tag in has. I apologize for the short notice. That was ultimately my fault.

There was some clear confidence in his step when he came out. Even if he didn't have a chance (one of his competitors was the very same lovely lady that nominated him after all, no way he could beat out her!) he was gonna give it his all anyway. It was weird, taking part in a singing competition without his squad mates doing the instrumentals for him, but he could certainly imagine them being there. They helped him quite a lot along the way, after all.
His attire wasn't anything fancy, it was just what he was typically seen wearing. Internally, he was secretly glad the fashion part of the show was cancelled for whatever reason. Less because he'd be nominated in the worst category this time around, but more like he didn't want to be in the same room with that butterfly prick's eyes peering at him. So with that extra detail, Mobius' mood was even better for this.
The song he chose was a classic, and one he'd sang alongside his squad/band mates numerous times, and the confidence in his voice was as clear as it was visibly in his step. He moved expertly in time with the music as if those moves were something he'd rehearsed just as much as the vocals, and just because he wasn't up for the "Best Dancer" category, it didn't mean he wasn't gonna slouch and not get into his performance. He was putting his all into this for sure, with well timed hip movements and all.]

Thankfully, she wasn't the type of woman to swoon when someone winked at her. Though, she was grinning and there were certain thoughts going through her head on just how to show him just how much she liked his dancing later.
...Right now though, she was just there to cheer him on and mingle with the rest of the crowd.]

[He drops into a crouch, elbows resting on his knees.]
Betcha got somethin' real fine prepped an' ready t' go, eh?

*Sonico nods but tilts her head with a smile as he crouches like that*
Hmm? I suppose it's okay, but it's really nothing special.

Got a heavy contender here, sheheheh! Listen t' that shade! Got me quakin' in my boots here, sweetheart!
[He folds his arms over his chest.]
'S nothin' special. Sheheheh shit. Never could quite figure out if y's bein' modest or if y' legit think y' ain't got it goin' on.

No, genuinely. I don't think I should be up for this competition, to be honest.
sorry for the long post, we got carried away!
[When Kay had nominated Cassian for best dancer, he hadn’t been worried. Contestants would have to dance for the jury… but it wasn’t like he intended to show up. He’d still been unconcerned when he retaliated by nominating Kay.
Then Kay had gone and gotten permission for them to dance together and there went all his no-show plans. Their Oricorio had attempted to teach them the flamenco, complete with his personal touch of fire and knives – an interesting attempt, for sure. They had yet to paint over the scorch marks. The attempt with the tango hadn’t left any scorch marks but it had become clear very quickly they couldn’t learn it in time.
He clears his throat awkwardly, making a small, stiff – terrified stiff – bow. ] We will be dancing the Alderaanian waltz.
If you fainted she would make me dance alone. And you wouldn't do that to me, right?
[Kay is not very confident in their abilities, he had calculated the possibilities of them tripping, making the wrong turn, stepping on each other’s toes... the odds are not in their favor. But they're not really here to win. They're here...okay, they are here because they wanted to troll each other BUT they are also here because it seemed like harmless fun.]
Besides, it's a bit too late for that. [Kay places his hand on the small of Cassian's back when the other man bows, trying to offer some reassurance. He has given the musicians a partiture to play so they know how the waltz is like, and as they get ready, Kay and Cassian get into position.]
Here goes nothing... [He takes Kay's hands to form a circle for the simpler form of the waltz, to start with, and the early steps are clumsy as expected, too much thinking about where his feet need to go to get them there in time. Then he forces himself to think of Kay instead of Krista and it gets easier. There's even a tiny smile on his lips as he draws closer.] Are we outdoing your worst predictions yet?
[Kay keeps his right hand on Cassian's back while holding his other hand up. It tempting to intertwine their fingers but that's not the right position and he doesn't want to mess up their dance already.]
You haven't bailed on me. So, yes. [Kay smiles back, relaxed and happy.] And you look lovely in that suit, love.
[The music stars and he takes one step forward. This part at least is easy and he doesn't want to distract Cassian talking. It's not a perfect dance but they clearly had been doing their best to prepare for it and it goes fairly smoothly for the most part.]
[There's a moment where his own feet get in his way and he stumbles a little but much to his own amazement he's chuckling instead of frowning. Not a perfect dance, but he's having fun and even puts a little flourish into it when it's time to get dipped.
When it's over and he bows again for Krista, he isn't scared stiff anymore. ]
[Kay is very, very tempted to kiss Cassian after the dip but right, the dance. They got to finish it first. The moment is over and his own bowing is done, he drag Cassian away from prying eyes to show him just how much he appreciate his man in a nice suit.]
