[ this is her fifth day in the city, but her first time submitting something of her own to the network. after ruling out labyrinth's involvement in her kidnapping, miki set about securing a place for herself here. she has a roof over her head, a pantry full of food, a few changes of clothes, and got a job at one of the retail stores. it wasn't necessarily ideal, but she was determined to keep her head up high and make the best of a bad situation. ]
This is a bit like Mixi, isn't it? [ ah, those days before everyone began migrating to facebook. she chuckles and smiles warmly at the screen. ] Good morning, Genessia! My name is Miki. I arrived here from my school in Japan four days ago.
Has anyone had any luck connecting their cell phones from home to this network?
[ she thinks that, maybe, if she could get hercell phone linkrun on the network, perhaps it could tell her something about this place that the pamphlet and the people aren't. tarte would be able to tell her if the linkruns were capable of doing something like that, but the team's ferret-like fairy mascot isn't here. she misses his kansai accent already. ]
I feel a little silly, carrying two devices around...

I don't really know what a cell phone is, but it's nice to meet you all the same Miki. My name is Ryu.

[ he doesn't know what a cell phone is? that strikes miki as a little odd, but considering that she knows by now that not everyone comes in from an era (or world) that's as advanced hers, she tries to keep an open mind. reaching into the pocket of her skirt, miki draws out her linkrun, holding it up for him to see. ]
This is a cell phone. They come in a variety of types and designs, but this is mine!
[ and it's so much more than just a cell phone, but nobody needs to know that. ]

That's a strange looking machine... With the buttons and the screen, is it kind of like a computer? This stuff isn't very common where I come from. If Momo saw this, she'd probably think it was a relic of the Techno Age or something.
It can be. It's sort of like a miniature computer. It stores information and can send messages an get on the internet, but I don't think there's an internet here...
Techno Age?

Robots are still around, mostly seeking chrysm ore. I only remember seeing computers in a handful of places, and they were significantly less common.

[ and she will most definitely be carrying her "cell phone" around with her everywhere. who knows when cure berry will be needed, and she'd rather not have to run home to get her linkrun so she can transform. ]

[She rummages through her purse' pocket and shows it to the feed. It's a pink phone with a bunny shape. It's a flip phone and each button has a bunny face on it. When she flips it open, it has her Mamo-chan's face.]
See! I love my phone!
[ miki pulls hers out. her "cell phone" is about as ordinary as usagi's brooch, but nobody needs to know that. ]
This is mine! Isn't it perfect?
[Usuagi's smile widens.]
I really wish they do get the communicators connected to our phones, yes?

[It was kind of sad thought really, to not use ones own phone and instead had to resort to whatever it is she was using now. Downgraded much.]

[ staying positive, because the alternative is to let the reality of her situation sink in and miki wasn't ready to deal with that yet. there was still hope, still good to be made of this. ]

[She can't say she knows of anyone who gets sent home, it doesn't seem to be that often after all.]
