Battling the Undead! Naoki and Sync vs The Collector

Who: Naoki Kashima and Sync
Where: Everglade
When: April 8th
What: Hunting down The Collector and fighting his undead army
Warnings: Violence; will update if needed

[His bounties always seemed to take Naoki into Everglade. Then again, he preferred that. He was more in his element here, and could get away with being a tad more reckless. Not that he intended on going all out, but it helped. It was also the first time he saw a bounty rated this high since arriving in this world. Made him curious. Maybe there would finally be some kind of challenge behind this one. But someone had to join him at the same time. He was intially going to reject the aid, but he was curious how strong some of these other people were. Might as well accept it.

He looked over at Sync as they walked to their destination: a graveyard. Seemed like the best place to find this guy unless they heard a commotion.]

So...what can you do?

[This was one of the few bounties that actually brought Sync here. He did enough as it was in Everglade, that earning still more enemies seemed like a waste of time. Plus Namur might not take to people trying to attack the Jolly Eddy's establishment.

Still, he had a similar mind to the Demi-Fiend, it was a place to be more lax on restraint, and something he was looking forward too. He shrugged off the question as they walked on.]

I can fight. Better than most people expect, what about you?

[He would probably need a little more time to warm up. While that was succeeding better in other areas of his life, work it was much less so because of the nature of the work.]

[Seemed Sync was being vague about his own abilities. Talking about it wasn't gonna work then.]

So level 3 bounty huh? Only ever did rank 2s. How much worse can 3 be?

[Which, it was. It was admirable to a degree since Naoki implied he had defied his own Fate. It was also envious. Thankfully shop talk was always a good way to change the subject.]

Level 3s are appropriate; that's where it starts getting pretty tough for an average someone to succeed. However, sometimes people get lucky. I'm gonna assume that we're here because no one else lived to collect the bounty.

Guess we gotta hope they didn't turn into a corpse puppet then...

[Were this a supremely powerful being, that would be very frightening. But Naoki doubted so.

Before he could ask more, they arrived at the graveyard. If the bounty were to show, this would be the best place. He would have plenty of soldiers after all. But then again, Naoki had his own army waiting in the wings...]

So...how should we lure this guy out?

Let's hope, but they probably did.

[Sync also doubted the threat as well. While it would be a challenge, it wouldn't be much to overcome in his opinion. When they hit the graveyard, Sync took a moment to consider Naoki's question. Luring the bounty out was going to be the most challenging part of things and he wanted to make sure they wouldn't be caught unaware, either.

That wasn't Sync's style though. Sure planning ahead was, but he also liked to make some noise.]

I have an idea.

[His idea was to sprint toward the graveyard, flip over the wall and unleashing a blast of third fonons into the air which causes a small crack of lightning and starts the wind howling.]

[Naoki blinked a bit. Well causing a mess might have been a good start...and it seemed to work, the Necromancer holding some kind of weird dark purple orb. Naoki expected him to look old, and he certainly did, wrinkles easily visible, especially as he smirked.]

"Ah another bounty hunter. I was wondering wondering when my next test subject would arrive."

[As if on cue, the ground suddenly shook, the dead rising...and quite a lot of them. Naoki ran in, though he ended up surrounded as well. He blinked again. Though he didn't look concerned at all. Just confused.]

...Thought you only killed 3 families.

"They were very big families."

Speak for yourself.

[Surrounded or not, Sync is unafraid as he crouches, pressing a hand to the ground.]

When they get this big; I've got some questions.

[He lifted his hand, and a sudden blast of ice forms a large crystal, sweeping up three undead before it shatters, flinging them away as he got to his feet, hoping Naoki had something up his sleeve to help chop down some of these numbers.]

[Fortunately, he did. Quite a few in fact. But for now he would settle with one. He stretched his hands, the wind suddenly turning razor sharp around his form. Two tornados suddenly spawned from his hand, gathering a few zombies until they finally came together, erupting and slicing the undead into ribbons.]

That's the best you can do!?

[Though as soon as he said that, the undead seemed to...regenerate? Naoki blinked as limbs and bodies lost were suddenly reformed.]

"Brute strength alone won't be enough to defeat me! I have learned how to easily keep my collection intact."
