As a caveat, I'm not really Scottish no matter how I sound. And what you're hearing is not really a Scottish accent but for those who know might be mistaken to think so because of inability to hear sub-harmonics. But never mind that. The point is, I've never been more Scottish than I am right now...

Which is why I've gathered you all here today is because I need advice...

Which one do you prefer. [he gestures to a rack of kilts handing up] The red? [he holds the red plaid in front of him--- and then each subsequent one] Green? Mint? Glow-in-the-Dark? Active Wear? [this last one the tartan is mostly blue and black but lined also with a glowing blue-white material] Apparently records bio-data, links to the music player of your choice and is a bum warmer in a pinch. [he grins] Nova City... Best place...

This is not an every day wear by the by, but I am thinking of taking one on an Adventure. Make a statement. Really go all out. I'm also considering blow torch bagpipes, but you know, no need to go overboard... yet.

And I'll also need a matching sporran. I think they have these here too. Though you can never find one bigger on the inside...

If you're thinking an adventure, maybe decide on functionality? Like if you're going to be climbing around and on things, or in the wilderness versus the city? Also how much you want to stand out versus blending in.

Probably no sporran either then but I'm sure I can finagle pockets onto it. One thing I love about thirtieth century human civilizations. Pockets everywhere. Save for jumpsuits ironically. Zoe was not pleased.

'M new, just woke up a day or so ago. Name's Trunks--and if it's between that one and the bright yellow, go yellow. That one looks too...busy? It sounds like you're almost going for a uniform, or a parody of one, and you'll make a better statement if you stick to the basics of it.

Well that makes sense. No-one wants pockets in something that's meant to be skin-tight. Only lumps and bumps that should be in those are the ones we're attached to.

I'm not going for a uniform and certainly not a parody. I've no interest in military or anything that surrounds it. I'm more going for a bit of fun. Enthusiasm. And maybe something I can hack into to upgrade. Never know when a constant supply of data might come in handy.

And people think that until they encounter something vital they don't want to carry round in their hands and don't have a pocket to put it in. And they do develop pockets eventually that are streamlined. Though that's actually based on an old old old design that was given in a dream to a Tibetan Monk who wasn't sure what to do with it but at least he was given proper credit.

Uniform doesn't have to be military though; I've known martial artists who compete in tournaments and they often wear their school's uniform, or an outfit similar to their teachers. You also have things like company dress-codes...

That one's just a bit more of an eye-sore than an annoyance. Go with the active-one you were looking at earlier, that collects data. Should be a way for you to hack into that, since it's already got a set up of some kind it sounds like.

So how do you find it here, Trunks? Settled in yet? Have a job? You wouldn't happen to be musically inclined, would you?

[Well, that whirring is interesting--but the idea of eyewear that helps enable someone to read or scan something is not new to Trunks thankfully.]

It's not what I was expecting, really. I'm not very musically inclined, no--sorry. I am glad that there are people here I know, like my mother, and Goku. Mai and I arrived at the same time, and we're both looking into jobs. We asked about law-enforcement before.

[There's a pause.]

Or military...but that's because those are the closest things we have experience with that would easily transfer, I think.

[There is a veteran's weariness in his eyes, but at least Trunks is trying to be optimistic.]

I might also look into mechanical or tech based jobs--I'm not the genius my mother is, but I spent my childhood around her lab and learn really quickly.
