[he is standing in a clothing store somewhere in Nova City, faintly surprised that he found it at all but that's neither here nor there. That he found it is a solution but the question is one he will pose to all the lovely viewers out there in ...CommunicatorLand]
As a caveat, I'm not really Scottish no matter how I sound. And what you're hearing is not really a Scottish accent but for those who know might be mistaken to think so because of inability to hear sub-harmonics. But never mind that. The point is, I've never been more Scottish than I am right now...
Which is why I've gathered you all here today is because I need advice...
Which one do you prefer. [he gestures to a rack of kilts handing up] The red? [he holds the red plaid in front of him--- and then each subsequent one] Green? Mint? Glow-in-the-Dark? Active Wear? [this last one the tartan is mostly blue and black but lined also with a glowing blue-white material] Apparently records bio-data, links to the music player of your choice and is a bum warmer in a pinch. [he grins] Nova City... Best place...
This is not an every day wear by the by, but I am thinking of taking one on an Adventure. Make a statement. Really go all out. I'm also considering blow torch bagpipes, but you know, no need to go overboard... yet.
Give me your input!
And I'll also need a matching sporran. I think they have these here too. Though you can never find one bigger on the inside...

Your shitty motorcycle is in the parking lot of Bixby Place. Just gonna gather rust if you don't go get it.
[She's not 100% sure it's his, but she has a suspicion. And she's
crankier than usualcranky.][Video]

When in doubt, always go with the bum warmer. They get mighty cold without any pants.

[ Says the vampire with clothes that have red trim, red eyes and of course the surname Scarlet. Red was the inevitable suggestion. ]

[he considers the red but he's not sure]
So I take it you're not human?
[it's rude to assume but since she alluded...]
Re: [Video]
Not since 1513. These wings are quite real... I am a vampire, but perhaps not as you know them.
You'd be amazed what they can do with body modifications. [not that he doesn't believe her]
But how's that? [he's known at least a handful of species of vampires in his time but he's always ready for something new]

[Or while he's wearing it but that would be more of a bonus than anything.]

[he frowns at one before putting it back] And a lot of them did. It was a slaughter and the English, their adversaries at the time, nearly wiped out an entire way of life-- but that was sort of the hobby back then. Go in, take control, exploit for profit.
And yet it never turns out the way they might expect and not worth the suffering it incurs...
[he might be leaning toward the yellow but on the other hand it might be too... standoutish]
video
That's great and all but didn't you say you weren't Scottish? So isn't that cultural appropriation or something?
[Not that she gives a shit either way but that doesn't stop her asking the awkward questions.]

If you're thinking an adventure, maybe decide on functionality? Like if you're going to be climbing around and on things, or in the wilderness versus the city? Also how much you want to stand out versus blending in.

There are countless types of adventures on might go on. What situations to you expect to encounter? Weather, terrain, fauna, flora are all important factors. Though if you've already proper equipment for an adventure and are just looking for something to glamour over it I'm partial to the active wear.

tl;dr my bad
[ She has met a disheartening number of adventurers over the past few years that she ended up never seeing again because of such dangers. Perhaps she's overly cautious and a bit sensitive to a lackadaisical approach to adventuring, but the dangers she faced and losses she suffered are impossible to forget.
Era will just hope for the best, and send a prayer to the Twelve for the eccentric old man's safety whenever he goes off adventuring. ]
Glamouring is the technique with which you can alter the appearance of one piece of clothing to look like another with the use of a glamour prism.
My most frequently used glamour is one where I alter my gloves to look and feel like nothing at all whilst I wear them. This is beneficial to me when I visit the northern region of my home, where frigid is an understatement for how cold it can be. I need the warmth and protection of my gloves, but the freedom and control bare hands offer me during combat.
An example for you might be a pair of trousers that offer some manner of protection, but glamoured to look and feel like whichever kilt you end up choosing.
Glamour prisms are exceedingly expensive and rare to the common man. As an adventurer of some repute I have easy access to them, whether via purchasing or crafting them myself. If you have an interest I can demonstrate it for you when we have our jam session.

If you can't find yourself a sporran that suits your taste I'd be happy to offer my services and make you one.
I'm not sure. I'm pretty sure I'm going to be building it out from the kilt because that's going to be the central piece of hardware.
As for sporran services... What can you offer?
It's easier to ask what I can't offer. Tell me what your ideal piece would look like and I'll tell you if it's out of my realm of abilities or not.

But on second thought it might be on the entirely too side of too much. [he wanted to make a statement not look like an idiot] The bagpipes anyway.
Re: [video]
You say that now. But wait until you need to light a fire to cook with or melt something and don't have any regular tools handy; then blowtorch bagpipes are awesome. Never can tell what'll happen on an adventure, after all.
