Okay! What happened this time??

[Haga's high pitched voice comes out very loudly, and his eyebrows are knitted in a clear look of pure anger.

He couldn't remember anything similar to Orichalcos or a Shadow Realm ban happening. Heck, he had been avoiding Yugi and his friends like the plague for the past two months, but now he found himself in another weird place, after sleeping for a long time.]

Look, I was here trying to be an upstanding citizen! I wasn't even bothering that loser Yugi anymore, so why am I sucked into some weird alternate dimension again? Am in a hospital bed again?? Ugh... and Ryuzaki isn't here so I guess I'm the only one who messed up this time? [But really, for the life of him, he couldn't remember doing anything that could put his very existence at risk, again.]

Can I just spend a full year with my parents for a change??? Or is that too much to ask for?

[It certainly didn't take one with an empathetic nature to discern the distress in his voice. Understandably so, if everything he said during his ranting monologue was true.]

[A weak smile and a gentle voice accompanied her words, and she hoped they would have at least some ameliorating affect.]

There were many of us taken. All from different worlds. Some of us...weren't even in our own worlds when we were brought here.

[Haga's still angry and ready to shout at everyone, but for whatever reason he can't seem to muster the courage to lash out at the girl that's on his screen. She looks genuinely worried.]

It isn't okay...
But I guess this time I didn't have my soul sucked into another dimension.

I mean, it's not dark and weird.
So I believe I am truly here, like my physical body.
Which I dunno if it's better or worse. [He let's out a frustrated sigh.]

[Well, he was angry before, but now he's just plain FURIOUS.]

I just went through the worst year of my life so if you wanna talk cruelty, I'll tell you about cruelty! Do I start with how a loser kid destroyed my whole reputation or do I jump straight to how I got my soul removed from my body by cursed items??

Soul sucked...? N-No, that's definitely not what happened here...

[It sounds like he's been through a lot.]

Sorry, I didn't mean to make light of it... It's just that, Genessia is fairly safe. So 'it's okay' because no one here is going to hurt you. You don't have to worry about starving or being cold or lonely either.

I don't think you messing up is what causes you to be here. [Though Rapunzel wondered if maybe there was some truth into it because before she found herself here she had just left her tower, something she had been told not to do.]

But it's not bad here, I can promise you that. I mean you get the odd thing happening now and again, but nothing major.

[When the transmission comes along, Haga had calmed down considerably, but his facial expression still shows that he's upset.]

Yeah, gathered that much so far. Although I guess it could be worse. It could be another empty black void... [He mentions the second part as a whisper, pretty much to himself.]

I did spot some... different people when I was out. [He says, trying to sound as polite as possible. On his way to his living quarters he did see some weird folks, so it was unlikely everyone there was from the same place.]

Wait, what you mean 'weren't even in our own worlds'?

It's bit of a relief. The not having my soul removed that is.

[He's still looking pretty bitter though, and he pauses for a moment to think.]

I mean, the part about not starving is good too. [He chooses to ignore the lonely part. He doesn't want to sound desperate right off the bat.

He sighs and lets himself fall on the squeaky bed next to him.] Still I guess it's just my luck not having much of a choice regarding the stuff that happens to me, hm?

Y-yeah, I got that already. I was just speaking without thinking, that's all! [He tries his best to disguise his bitterness - and also ignorance - with a badly put together cocky attitude.]

... I don't think I like the sound of "odd things happening"...

[Having already assumed he would zero in on that particular statement, she was prepared with a response.]

My friends and I can travel in between different worlds. [Two, she wanted to say, except...she knew that wasn't true. And she could neither lie nor allow herself to bring up the Dark Ocean in this conversation.] We were in one of them before we were here. Not the world we originally come from.

[Haga just... tilts his head at the first statement.]

So you can just hop over to other worlds as you like? [Well, color him impressed. and confused.]

Wait! If you can just do that, why don't you get out of this place then?? [God knows he would do it if he could.]

[She shook her head.]

No. We could only travel between our world and the one we had been in at the time. And not always when we wanted to.

We have no power to travel to or from this world. We were brought here. Or sent here. Only that same power can get us back.

Eheh... Yeah, that can be a pain. But I'm sure you'll have no problem taking control of your life in Genessia. You sound like you must be reliable and resilient?

[Don't end compliments with a question mark.]

My name is Madoka... I've been here for a few months. So if you need help, I can do my best?

[They were just about the laugh about being rekt by a kid but to have his soul removed? Kii smirked widely]

..So you're a ghost now? Rad!

[He just... stares for a moment then angrily speaks up.]

I'm not a ghost!! And being a lame ghost isn't 'rad'!!

[Haga almost wants to be sympathetic towards this girl's plight, but showing sympathy isn't exactly one of his trademarks. He just limits himself to nod at her words.]

And I guess no one knows what this supposed "power" is, hm? I mean, if you guys knew I bet you wouldn't be just sitting here waiting.

[He's surprised by the sudden compliments, despite their doubtful tone. It had been a while since he got complimented on, well, anything.]

We-well, name's Haga, National Champion of Duel Monsters! [He does his best to cover up his distress with the most confident tone he can muster.] And your help is appreciated, although I doubt it'll be needed! [It doesn't even look like he was freaking out two hours ago, wow.]

Unfortunately not.

[She wasn't expecting much sympathy anyway, so the lack of barely phased her.]

I wouldn't say we're just sitting around, though. This may not be a permanent new life for us, but there are still ways to make it a little more...normal.

Relatively speaking, of course.

[laughs]

Not always a bad thing. Sometimes they can be fun.

[Said in the most optimistic way she could muster.]

I mean it depends on the person, I guess though.

[He seems to be thinking to himself for a moment. All this is a lot to take in. In a way he would have preferred the void. It was easier to understand.]

So in short... If I just keep doing my thing and wait, this place will eventually shove me back into my own world?

... I guess I could use a break from certain things back home.

[He pauses for a second. In a way, he kinda doesn't want to talk about this 'new world' all that much. He's kinda trying to pretend this isn't happening, so he focuses on something else that picked his attention the moment this girl showed up on his screen.]

How... just how long is your hair?

[He certainly wasn't the only one.]

That's what we've been led to believe.

It really isn't so bad. Many of the others here are very nice. And even though they expect you to work, there are a lot of different options. Some of them are even kind of fun.
