[Meanwhile, Shi can be found just about anywhere around Genessia with a book in his lap and serious expression on his face. The book is either clearly about magic or about bad luck and superstitions. In particular, Shi is taking notes about objects he can try to store his bad luck in.

Well yeah, I guess not being cursed would make anybody feel better, especially if it's a particularly nasty one. I don't know if anybody around here is cursed that way though.

But even if they're not, normal bad luck is always a thing, so you shouldn't be out of work any time soon.
