[For a very brief moment there was what looked like a severe scowl there, none too happy about... anything going on. No words, eyes not focusing on the camera, before within seconds it simply goes dead.
Not doing this today, thanks.]
Action
[The phone had been pocketed after Gabriel had given it a once over, familiarizing himself with what was very much a low-tech sort of phone to him. Wasn't even about to willingly mess with it until he had to, because at the moment there was something more important in mind. Gathering as much information about this predicament as he could.
The hologram had been helpful enough, but he wasn't just going to stop there, oh no.
The Black Ops commander was going to do one of the things he did best; observe and listen to those who were already here. Tuning out most every day conversation that didn't seem important, hood pulled up over his head and walking. Never staying in one area for too long, since he was also familiarizing himself with layouts. Mental mapping. Remaining on his guard all the while.]
As if I didn't have enough weirdness to deal with, had to throw in the strangest abduction I've ever heard of.
[Talking gorilla from the moon was one thing, so was the girl that had to wear a device strapped to her chest to keep firmly planted in their time and reality. Magic dragons.
Now this.]

Being picked up was a surprise and all and truth be told Gabriel did grip at Reinhardt the moment he was lifted up, but at least he didn't try to struggle. This was just how the man was on occasion but still, the... nearly crying or just starting to cry thing with this was.
Disturbing, in a very worrying sort of way.]
Reinhardt! [What was he supposed to do?
Other than awkwardly pat at the man's shoulder as he was held off the ground like this.] It's... nice to see you, too?
[Seven years.]
no subject
This is all borne of not knowing what the hell he's supposed to do.
He does figure that the best idea is probably... not crying. Going to just find a different outlet for that. With Gabriel not knowing what the situation was, and Reinhardt not really wanting to discuss it... It was probably best to attempt to act like... like that seven year gap didn't have to be permanent.]
... Ja.
[He heaved a sigh, swallowing back the deluge of feelings that still sat just below the surface.]
It is good to see you again...
[One last good squeeze, and he moved to set the other man back down again, a smile having managed to find its way back to his face]
Forgive me, it is just a bit overwhelming.
no subject
One Hell of a thing.
Did not top this from being strange, and wouldn't stop him from keeping in mind just how Reinhardt sounded, looked at him, just before the whole.
Picking him up thing.]
It seems like it. You doing alright?
no subject
He took a step back, trying to give the other man his space again. Heaven knew Reinhardt certainly took up a whole lot of it]
Yes, yes I'm fine. It has been a... a trying day.
[He's had worse, but this one had been difficult]
You have just arrived, ja? You will be wanting to know more of the city then? I can show you around, if you like.
no subject
Yeah, He'd do something with all of that later.]
It seems like it, you're actually tense and seem.. tired?
[Not exactly the word he wanted to use, but it was at least kinder. Didn't always get along with Reinhardt, but he liked the guy well enough.]
I have, and if you can cover something the hologram didn't my schedule is suddenly very open.
no subject
I can explain a few things that the hologram may have missed, ja. Did you learn of the commons? You will need a place to stay, after all.
no subject
[Wasn't going to stop Reyes from keeping a mental note on it, but at least he wasn't pressing.
Just slipped hands into the front pockets of his hoodie.]
Commons— that free place to stay for a month? Hadn't gotten directions to it yet.
no subject
It is very normal here, you will find.
[A pause, and then a rumbling laugh] If you can get used to some of the citizens here, of course.
You find a job, you get a home, and you live.
Come, the bus is not far from here, I'll take you to the commons.
no subject
[More so if this place was normal for an area filled with abductees from different wolds and times surrounded by spirits and things outside of a barrier. Sure, he could have asked the peanut gallery that was everyone here but.
Pass.]
The bus?
