[Rika can be seen standing in front of her new store in Attleton: A sign behind her reads "The Game Garden," while the overabundance of plants and game posters around the stores give a clear indication of what this business is like. Once she's sure the store is visible behind her, Rika waves to the camera.]
Good afternoon, everyone! This is Rika Furude speaking. I am here to announce the opening of my new store, you see~! It is called "The Game Garden," and we will be selling as well as demonstrating board and card games. There will be many games set up for you to try today, so please stop by! We even sell coffee and tea, and cute, fluffy pastries, so you can stay and play. Let us have lots of fun from now on! Yay~!
[action : The Game Garden]
[There is a private garden in the back of the store, where Rika has set up simple games to try. In particular, she's set up cutesy games like Hungry Hungry Hippos and Snakes n' Ladders: Things that are quick to learn and can be played easily with strangers. Whenever someone checks out a table, Rika will pop by to explain the game and offer to play with them.
Rika is also tending a table where she is demonstrating simple card games with a plain deck of 52 cards. Whenever someone passes by, she performs some deck shuffling tricks to get their attention.]
Mii~! Do you know many card games, stranger? A simple deck of cards is good for many, maany card games!
[ ooc note: Haga is also working here, and will be replying to the action threads! Don't be surprised~! ]

Video -> Action
Hah, interesting! I'll give it a look.
[Which he does, being eager to be the first person to do anything, including patronage. He's eager to see whether "Garden" is true in name only, eyes brightening when he discovers the truth of the title. He's holding in his hot hands a deck of tarot cards.]
Ah, hello Rika! I know just what you mean. Are you familiar with the trick-taking variety?
no subject
I am not familiar with those ones. They were not allowed in my old school. [Which makes her curious to learn about them.]
no subject
[Yes, he's that naive. He's still curious to learn why; wouldn't wanna corrupt the youth with his pseudo-occult devilry.]
no subject
Are you being bad, or are they safe? I do not know that either.
no subject
But if you're not weak to anything like that, it should be fine.
[Tarot? Evil? But the Catholics made them!]
Action
It's weird having a "job", but it's good that he managed to find one that matches his interests so well. Probably the reason why he's smiling excitedly as he hangs around the table he put together with two decks, to hopefully teach the people of Genessia about the beauty of card games.]
Hey, care for a match of Puzzled Beasts?
no subject
I am ready for a new round, Haga! I have remade my deck, see?
no subject
Ah, there you are, my greatest adversary! [He chuckles.] Well, since things have slowed down, take a seat and let's see how better your deck is!
no subject
[She takes her seat, giggling with delight.]
I am so glad to have found you. I did not have card games such as this back in Hinamizawa or Mayfield... I would not have known how to sell them!
no subject
By the way, how are you doing with the board games?
no subject
But there are no puzzles and there are no beasts.
no subject
Uh? Of course there are beasts! See? [He pulls one of the cards that has a butterfly-looking creature on it.] This is Razorfly and it is a very strong Bug beast. [He pauses.] Although... I'm not sure where the puzzle aspect fits in all this. This game does have a backstory that has one, but... it's not really part of the game... [Well, now he's thinking super hard about that.]
no subject
[As far as Ches is concerned, butterflies are bugs and beasts are something completely different. Like the Bandersnatch or the Jabberwock. But he also supposes the technical details can be overlooked when there's a game to be played!]
We can make our own puzzle pieces!
[Haga should probably take those cards away before the cat starts cutting them up into puzzle shapes...where did those scissors even come from?]
no subject
These are important, you can't just cut them up like that!
no subject
Shhh! [He gives Haga a light bat on the head, but doesn't try to resist as the cards are wrenched from his paws.] You'll disturb the other games! [Which is really absolute nonsense given all the noise around them. He probably just wanted an excuse to smack someone. This cat.]
But how can we play Puzzled Beasts without any puzzled beasts?
no subject
The bat doesn't hurt really, but, is a cat seriously telling him to be quiet? That was a new one, even for him. He never thought things would come to this.]
Why... why are we even questioning the name of the game? I thought you were to learn how to play it! [Obviously, the cat isn't and really... Haga isn't surprised. Cats don't understand human things like card games, right?]
no subject
We'd never learn anything new if we didn't ask questions. [Wise life advice from a talking cat.] Besides, isn't understanding the name the best place to start understanding the game?
[He's honestly very capable of learning to play, but would much rather cause trouble...]
no subject
You don't need to understand the name, just the rules! It's that simple! [Although this cat is... making it seem not all that simple.]
no subject
But then he jumps off Haga's shoulders, takes the opposite seat, and whips a notepad, a pen, and a pair of (cosmetic) round-rimmed glasses out of thin air. It's important to at least look the part, even thought the mischievous kitty has zero intention of obediently being taught.]
What are the rules?
no subject
Hmm... OK. So, we start by drawing five cards each, and who goes first is decided by a coin flip. [Haga sets up the cards and then picks up a quite ornate coin that's sitting on the table.] OK, you want heads or tails? [... Is he going to regret asking that?]
no subject
[Heads are obviously important - that's why the Queen likes to behead her enemies. But cat tails are key to balance too! Even if the Cheshire Cat mostly uses it for ear tips and waving.]
And I wouldn't very well like your head because I'm not the Queen.
video;
[She was wondering why the shop name if it doesn't.]
Also what cames are on display today?
no subject
[Rika also just wants people to stick around and keep her from feeling lonely.]
I found 'Hungry Hippos' and 'Snakes and Ladders' are easy to begin with, so we are displaying them. I also have more complicated games for those with the time. Do you enjoy board games?
no subject
[People like her from time to time.]
I enjoy most games really. I have a preference for video games, but I enjoy playing games in general.
no subject
I have seen those around, but never played them. Hinamizawa and Mayfield were not "up to date," I do not think.

Though do you guys carry video games as well?

You should join us! Maybe you can even help people who like video games to find the best board games!
no subject
Oh that would be fun, lots of video games have things based off board games.
