[Upon exiting his cocoon, Jaune had his pamphlet in one hand and his necklace and videophone in the other and looking back and forth between them.]

What the heck is all this?! Oh God, why did I step into that cocoon? Stupid cocoon...

[Welp, better start wandering around. Reading the pamphlet might help, but such foresight is beyond him.]

Hello? Helllloooooo? Hey! Is anyone here?

Gah, man...! [Finally he looks to his videophone.] ... The heck is this anyway? Let's see... [He just starts pushing buttons.] Beep boop boop beep~

[Seeing a girl's face flicker onto the screen, Jaune blinked a few times.] Oh, hi! Who are you? I guess this is some kinda phone... that's neat! So... I'm not in any danger? Well if that's the case, why do I feel like something really bad happened?

[Quietly she chides herself. She doesn't need to be biting off every newcomer's head. She was scared and angry when she first showed up here, after all, and he's handling this a lot better than Raye did.]

Hold on.

[She switches to audio so she can get dressed and stop chatting up people in her pajamas.]

I'm Raye. Sorry if I'm a little blunt, I just woke up. Anyway, you're safe. Harry keeps an eye out for new people, so if you picked up one of his fliers outside of the Bay, he's probably on his way now. You can trust him, he's a good guy.

I don't... think I am? [How was he supposed to answer that? He's used to weird things happening to him, it seemed. Oh if only Raye knew some of the things he'd seen and done already.]

Well, Raye, I'm Jaune - Jaune Arc. [He was tempted to be charming, but he just didn't seem to have it in him.] Fliers? I kinda just... woke up. I have all this stuff in the box I found, and like... a pamphlet. I dunno what I'm really supposed to do or why I'm here... It's all really weird.

So, Harry, huh? Welp... I don't see much out here other than water and a cave. Suppose I better start walking.

He's a tall wizard who makes lots of nerdy jokes, but he's totally dependable.

[She dresses quickly, and smoothes down her rumpled hair as best she can before switching back to video format.]

I'll head down there too, just in case he's busy with something else. Start reading that pamphlet in the meantime, it'll tell you most everything you really need to know.

[He didn't have to walk too far to find a flier outside the entrance to the Bay, all while keeping Raye on the video phone because he wasn't entirely comfortable with being alone. He read the pamphlet, about what everything was for and getting a job, so he wore the necklace. He'd pocketed what he could too, just so his free hand could clutch his sword.]

Should I call this guy?

Can't hurt! Both of us have been here the same amount of time, but he's gone and made himself a City Guardian, so he probably enjoys showing the new guys around.

[She does too, but she's still sleepy.]

[Serious-face.] Okay. Thanks Raye. I'm heading into the city now I think, so I'm going to let you go and give him a call. I'll just stick near the entrance for now.

[She stretches one arm over her head until she almost shakes, then relaxes.]

I've got some catching up to do. Keep me updated.

[He pushes a few more buttons, until finally finding the one to hang up.] Ah, there. Ooookay... So then...
