[Once midnight rolls around, the extreme temperature swings slowly level out, drifting back to the predicted winter highs and lows. It's cold, but your eyeballs aren't likely to freeze up and fall out of your sockets like gross little marbles.]

[And then the cats and dogs start to appear. It's not a steady downpour; just a random dog, cat, puppy, or kitten in different parts of the city every minute or so. They bounce when they hit the ground, and skitter off. At least they don't splatter into roadkill. Either way, enjoy your new swarm of strays for the day, Genessia!]
