[Video] Musical Interlude

[It's been awhile since he's played for the full audience, but he's been listening to some of the modern music that are on his mp3. He's putting his Christmas gift to good use.

It might be different, on sitar, but he's even singing, which is something he so rarely does. His voice is on key, but not terribly loud, like he's embarrassed of his singing.]

[He's bobbing his head a little, it's one of his favourite contemporary songs. Even with his new job, he gets time to play his sitar. When it's done, he smiles broadly and waves.]

It's true. Uhhh. [Demyx blushes slightly at that.] Nah, I don't think so. I'm not much of a singer.

Don't suppose any musically-inclined headhunters have gotten in touch with you, eh? Like The Doctor or someone?

Oh I dunno about that, I'm not sure I like it as much as playing.

[He shakes his head.] Well I do things for Rose sometimes, but apart from that no one else.

Ah, you mean Ms. Tyler? What sort of things?

I ask because there's an awful lot of public interest in music stirring. Doubtless they'd desire for your descants.

Well I can play as much as my schedule allows, so I guess if anyone wants to hire me...

[He shrugs, he doesn't make much money busking.]

I do whatever she asks.

[He reluctantly laughs at that. He can't tell if Demyx is a model employee or some strange, servile slacker.]

It's more for art's sake than payment. I'll happily recommend you should I see such developments, if you like.

[He's trying to be good and not disappoint Cassian, that's all.]

[He'd heard enough of more modern music to get a feel for it. And even if the rhythms were different and everything came from a box; it was still music!

Just as this. And he could still feel that tiny flare in the memory of his heart. Even as he pushed it away and gave a short, impressed whistle.]

Con passion, musico! That sounds nice, though I've never heard that instrument play that sort of ritmo.

Oh yeah, I know, I don't usually play songs like this.

[He grins and waves.]

Usually I play a lot of classical stuff, or songs I picked up in the worlds I've visted, but this song is great too.

Have you tried your own songs? Or just picking at the strings and letting the melody carry you away?
