NEWSPAPER - BIWEEKLY EDITION
[Did you subscribe to The Genessia Tribune? Did you even remotely wish you had a newspaper or some other form of media to refer to for news, weather, and current events? Then you're in luck! There's a paperboy riding through the streets of Genessia flinging newspapers onto doorsteps or, if you're unlucky, through your window. Even remote locations in the other cities will still get a paper if one of the residents ever wanted one. The Paperboy is just that dedicated.]
[And if you're one of the following people, and you happen to subscribe to the newspaper, the Paperboy may or may not have flung the newspaper through that person's window, at the person, and/or broke something in the area: Randall, Randall, Randall, Randall, Grievous (He will find a map taped to his door with an X on it. The X being the location of his paper, which is in a trash can), Lucky (there is no print on his newspaper. It's just blank.).

Half-Off Days
The Ice Cream Foundry in Genessia City will be running a half-off sale Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Their menu includes over Milk Shakes, Ice Cream Cakes, Ice Cream Bars, over 100 different flavors of ice cream among many other different items. With the weather having been so hot as of late, the owner of the Ice Cream Foundry thought he would do the city a service and slash his prices for a set amount of days.
The owner has also stated that he’s been preparing for this sale since the start of the month, having been in the business for so long, he knows people love their ice cream. Asked what his favorite flavor is, the man stated simply Vanilla. A generic, classic flavor, but still good none the less. He hopes to see many people at his store enjoying his ice cream.
KM Group
A group calling themselves the Keyboard Mozarts, or KM for short, are a Hacktivist group in Nova City have been responsible for inserting disruptive viruses into the computers of several corporations. The viruses did various things from randomly browsing to websites, to playing music obnoxiously loud to locking people out of the computers entirely.
No one knows what the problem is that the group has with the corporations that they targeted, but their IT Departments are not happy with the chaos left in the wake of the group. They’ve had to work overtime to scrub the viruses clean from their companies computers and it hasn’t been an easy task. Some of them are even still working at it. Many are wondering now what the group plans to do next.
The Puzzle Corner is a new section in the paper that gives its readers a chance to win prizes. There will be puzzles, brainteasers or the like listed below. Answering one will net you a prize. Only one puzzle can be solved per reader. (Just comment to the paper with your answer.)
1.) After a recent spate of home improvements, four couples were having a dinner party to discuss the additions to their houses.
Alan had not recently had a new bathroom. Kara had not yet done her kitchen, but perhaps would update it next. Brian, who is married to Maud, had not had new windows. Laura delighted in showing photographs of her new conservatory. Neither Charles nor David had a new kitchen. Julie had not had new windows. Alan, who also had not had windows, is not married to Laura and Charles is not married to Kara.
Who is married to whom and what work had they recently undertaken, assuming that each couple had one improvement and no two couples had the same improvement.
Prize: Bedsheet and curtain set.
2.) If you have a helium filled balloon in a closed car, and you go around corner.
Will the balloon swing into or out of the corner?
Prize: Tickets to the Nova City Aquarium.
3.) The weather at the Cape of Good Hope makes it a notorious location where many ships have been lost to the sea. Philip Wood, the famous diver, has discovered four ships that sank in the same spot, one on top of each other.
With some skill, Philip was able to determine the name, captain, cargo, destination and year built for all of the ships. The question is, can you?
1. During his first exploration of the site, Philip determined there were four ships - the Red Rover, the ship built in 1743, the ship captained by Quigley and the ship carrying tea that was bound for North America.
2.The ship that carried a cargo of saffron was built after the ship that carried a cargo of tea.
3. An entry in one ship's log found at the site indicated that the ship built in 1522 was carrying a valuable cargo of gold.
4. One ship was carrying botanical specimens to France. Philip determined that this was not the Royal Bride.
5. The Scarlet Queen, a pirate ship, was certainly built before the nineteenth century but not as early as the sixteenth. The captain of this ship was the famous rogue Clubfoot.
6. The Wanderer was built after the Royal Bride. The Royal Bride's cargo was not tea and the Royal Bride was not travelling to the South Seas.
7. Captain Bolton's ship was built before Clubfoot's and before The Royal Bride.

4.) My bath has two taps and a plug hole - and a leak!
The cold tap on its own fills the bath in 20 minutes, the hot one in 30 minutes.
The plug hole can drain the bath in 16 minutes with the taps off.
The leak would empty a full bath in 2 hours.
How long will the bath take to fill if I leave both taps on with the plug left out?

Every arrow can either point left or right, but must point to a square with a number.
The numbers indicate the total number of arrows that point at them.
Prize: A free ice cream sundae at the Ice Cream Foundry.
6.) At a local village gala, the entire population turned up, 500 people.
The event raised £3,000.

The Theater of Hurt - The star actor in a play in was murdered in the same manner as his character. A level 2 payment is being offered for the capture of the one responsible.
Nova City
Bad Taste – A mad Chef is responsible for finding out what people hate to eat or are allergic to and is forcing them to eat it. He forced his last victim to eat a whole Pineapple Pizza. A level 1 payment is being offered for his capture.
Everglade
Ill Will - A black magic user has been casting pestilence spells upon people in everglade. This has resulted in four deaths so far. A level 2 bounty is being offered for their capture.
Fayren
Vegetable Beatdown - A mage has used his magic to create and control what has be named a Vegetable Golem. It’s as dangerous as its body is healthy and has been responsible for injuring several people. A level 1 payment is being offered for the capture of the mage.
Attleton
Repair Man - AC units on houses are being sabotaged costing people money to get them replaced on a repaired. A level 1 payment is being offered to anyone that can capture the culprit.
