3rd Lure [Audio]

[In all of the excitement and chaos, Ryu really didn't have a chance to slow down. More importantly it was clear something was weighing heavily upon him. The fact people saw him, even if he was trying to help them... He doesn't want to risk something like back home happening here. So Ryu has temporarily retreated back to Fayren with most of the danger over while trying to figure out his next move. For all he knew, he was worried about nothing. But he certainly wasn't sure if Nonon could be trusted, and she most likely would have revealed the secret to Satsuki.

There was also Lucy to worry about. He knows she'll be asking sooner or later, but... With her friend Natsu, perhaps she'll be more understanding than most about who and what he actually is. Either way, he wants to know his friends are okay. Especially Vyers, after the condition he was in. There was still their little conversation to be held. It's here Ryu might be found a distance away from his camp, near Fairy Tail in hopes of finding Lucy.]

[PRIVATE TO LUCY HEARTFILIA]
Lucy? It's Ryu. I need to talk to you, preferably somewhere private and in person. The sooner the better.

[PRIVATE TO VYERS]
How's your body holding up? Can you do anything about regrowing your wings?

[The rest of his message is open to the public.]

I hope you're all recovering well in light of recent events. Please don't hesitate to call if you need any sort of medical attention. I may not be a doctor, but my magic can help you recover quickly.

[The poor boy honestly seems kind of stiff in his message. It's a little clear something is bothering him, but he'll likely chalk it up to the fact that Lucifer was still out there and free to do this all over again. Sure he's scared of being outed for what he is, but the fact that there's been nary a sound out of Lucifer worries him even more.]

And to the girl I met during the fire who could fly, I think you and I have a few things to discuss. On neutral ground, if you don't mind.

[It's not like he can make this private, since Nonon never made her identity clear.]

[If he'd tried that, Ryu would be having one furious Dragon Slayer on his tail. Luckily things seem to be staying peaceful so far.]

[Hang on that just processed.]

You're a dragon?! Wait that scent during the mess with the storms! That was you?!

[He'd spent most of his time inside buildings clearing stuff up and helping others evacuate so he hadn't had a chance to see Ryu's form.]]

Yeah... The story I told you, about fighting in the dragon graveyard? That was about four or five years ago. That man still believed my kind evil, and he wanted to exterminate us to the last. I've fought plenty of people like him since, but I'd really rather not fight anyone if I had a choice. But his Goddess didn't really leave me one.

[Or his brother, for that matter. Teepo is still a bit of a sore subject.]

I'd rather use my power to help people, rather than harm anyone. I hope that when I get home, I can correct history in that the Brood were innocent. Least of all the Desert of Death...

[He turns his attention to Natsu and nods.]

You probably were able to smell Tiamat. Nonon found me and we worked together to save a bunch of people. Before that I met Lucy and we evacuated a building together. And if I had met Lucifer...

[He doesn't bother to say anything, but there's a brief feeling of some far greater power beneath the surface. Did his hair flicker gold for just a moment? Nah, must have been a trick of the light.]

Lucy explained a little about who raised you, Natsu. It's partially why I wanted to meet you, and I hope I didn't cause you any grief if you thought he was here.

[ She'd rather not discuss such sore subjects and she doesn't know about Teepo anyway so you're safe, Ryu! ]

Well I think you'll find that people are more open minded here. I don't think you would have those kinds of problems in Genessia, let alone Fayren -especially if you're using your powers to help rather than harm anyone.

[ She frowned slightly at mention of Lucifer. ]

Yeah, I know what you mean. But at least we were able to minimize the casualties - and that's the important part, I think.

Heeeh so that was you huh. I bet you're pretty strong then~

[Oh dear his eyes are shining. Getting to spar with another dragon would be so cool! He did blink for a moment bewildered by Ryu's words.]

Oh I didn't think it'd be him. I know Igneel's scent best of all. Well...

[He glances briefly in Lucy's direction. Her scent was definitely a close second if not trading with Igneel's from time to time.]

So that's the name you go by when you're in dragon form? Tiamat was it?

Tiamat is just one of the forms I've been able to take on. I've never used a different name as I didn't need to. It was mostly just playing the part of an unassuming traveler.

[Is he strong? Well, he's not too keen call himself above anyone or anything.]

I would hope so, otherwise I would have disappointed what few Brood were still waiting for their Prince of Dragons.

[He turns to address Lucy, feeling as though she has a point about people being open minded.]

You're probably right, but it's a very difficult thing to change when you're so used to a certain attitude. Even now I'm not sure that all those who served her are gone.

There are other forms that you can change into..!?

[ Holy cow! And oh god, that look on Natsu's face. Yeah she knew what that meant. It was only a matter of time before those two were sparring off against each other. Thank goodness Ryu was a good guy and she didn't have to worry about things getting TOO serious. ]

I know .. especially if you've grown up with that kind of attitude around you. If anyone gives you trouble around here though, you can consider Fairy Tail a safe place to be.

[ Considering he's been camping out - and camping out can be unsafe. Not that she had doubts about his ability, but it was just him with no one watching his back. ]

Forms? Wait so you're more than one dragon in one body?

{He's starting to get confused which is why he's forgotten for a moment about asking for a spar. Something Lucy was likely thankful for.]

Yeah. When the Brood die, their remains fossilize into chrysm ore. It can be used as a fuel, but if the Brood who died was powerful enough, they leave behind their power in the ore, which I can absorb. I have a variety of forms I can use. Anything small as a cat to large as an inn.

And then there's Kaiser, but that would be in a size class all its own.]

But I'm still just one person. I just have the power of different Brood with me, but there are two I awakened on my own when I needed to save someone else.

[ Yes, she was rather relieved Natsu got distracted from asking Ryu to spar with him. Her luck was bound to run out though. Ryu's statement left her thoughtful.

When the Brood die -- so they were like... souls she supposed? ]

Wow... that's really.. that's kind of amazing, Ryu. Not only just being able to take on different forms of dragons, but different sizes too..?

Souls huh? Sounds a lot like the Lachryma that can make the second and third generation Dragon Slayers. Though none of us can actually turn into dragons. Though there was one...

[And his tone takes a bit of an ominous sound mentioning that one.]

The only downside is I haven't figured out how to talk in certain forms. I don't think they can.

I suppose if you guys wanted to, I could show you some of them.

[He glances at Natsu with a bit of curiosity.]

What are Lachryma?

[ She perked up with a bit more curiosity, a grin crossing her face. She'd let Natsu answer the question about lachryma -- assuming he didn't get completely side tracked by the possibility of seeing something new. ]

Really? That'd be fantastic, Ryu - but only if you don't mind..!

That'd be awesome yeah. Though we'd better do that out in the backyard.

[He's all excited again that only after that he remembers the question Ryu asked.]

Oh right Lachryma. I don't know how they're made but they're crystals that have in them the magic of a dragon. Some people started making people into dragon slayers like that. It's not the same as getting raised and taught by a dragon. That's why I've beaten all of em I fought. Well I had a bit of help when fighting Laxus.

Well... You guys lead the way, and I'll think of what to show you.

[He nods, the concept of Lachryma pretty much sounds exactly like chrysm.]

I'm surprised even normal humans can use that power. When my friends came in contact with the Chrysm Ore, they couldn't do anything with it. Not like me anyway.

[ Lucy chuckled, nodding agreement with Natsu's excitement. ]

Right this way then; it's not far. [ Just a few feet, actually- she padded her way into the back of the guild, with the lovely lovely yarded area. Should be plenty of room to spar, show off or transform into a dragon. ]

How's this?

Yeah well I don't know the specifics but I am guessing only people who actually have some potential with magic can actually make use of that Lachyrma.

[He never looked into it too much really since the method of his training was the best. He followed Lucy's lead staying next to Ryu making small chatter about dragons in his world in general.]

[He takes a moment to examine the yard. Once he's satisfied with its appearance, he takes up position a slight distance away from the pair.]

So, just to give you an idea how long this takes...

[ Ryu begins channeling the power needed to change. To the outside observer it appears as a shimmering aura around his form, pulsating erratically as if trying to escape. Where once he would have cowered and shook as a child, as an adult he stands in full control. A bolt of energy shoots from his body and crashes back down around him as a dome of arcane energy. Beneath the dome his form shifts and changes. When the energy shatters, Ryu reappears before them in his warrior form once again, talons and claws on his limbs a deep crimson red.]

This is what you saw before, Lucy. And in addition to changing my form, I can command different elements like this as well. Fire, Ice, Thunder, Light, and Darkness.

[Natsu watches the transformation closely his grin growing as he feels the power rising inside that dome. When Ryu finally emerges though he can't help but notice how similar it is to his dragon force state. Except he didn't get as many scales or wings. However he immediately focuses on something else entirely.]

So you can make fire too? Show me! I wanna see what they taste like!

And that one is fire, I expect?

[ Because red. But still, it did look quite a bit like Natsu's dragon force - she actually glanced at Natsu, wonderingly - up until he requested a taste of Ryu's flames. To which she just chuckled. He WOULD ask something like that. She glanced at Ryu, just in case he questions the madness in Natsu's head. ]

Dragon slayers like him can eat the element they specialize in - I know, it's weird, right?

That's certainly a powerful ability. Can you eat anything aside from fire?

He nods and waits for Natsu to indicate he's ready. Ryu rears his head back and lets loose with a great flame in Natsu's direction. Even if he's holding back, the fire burns with great intensity.]

Well I ate a bunch of other elements once but I was desperate back then and really angry. Felt sick for weeks afterwards so I'm sticking to fire.

[He takes a ready stance after jumping back and lights up his fingers into a "come on!"]

[ Lucy's just gonna back on up a little extra while Ryu sends flames at Natsu, folding her arms. It was cute to see the two dragons bonding..she just hoped that natsu's trademark weird didn't rub off on Ryu. One weird dragon guy was more than enough for her! Once he's consumed the flames, she gave the two a curious glance. ]

Well, Natsu?

[ She still didn' t know how he could differentiate different tastes with fire - but that was Natsu for you! ]

[Ryu changes back to his human form while waiting for Natsu's reaction. The process of changing back seems to be far less explosive, as his features and body seem to shrink back and shift smoothly. Fingers replace claws, and boot covered feet replace the talons that were once his feet.]

I'm seriously impressed. I've never seen anyone be able to do that before!

[Natsu slurped up the flames with ease before his eyes widened. That taste. That surge of power!]

Woah!

[Was all he got to say before fire erupted around him in a pillar of flame briefly. In the middle of it though Natsu was standing there, perfectly unharmed. After that initial burst the flames shrunk back around his body exposing that now his canines were a bit more pronounced and around his eyes one could see the pattern of scales rather than his skin.]

A dragon's flame. Definitely packs a punch~ Haven't felt this feeling since that fight with Zero.

Whoah! [ You okay there, buddy? ]

[ Whoah indeed. Lucy involuntarily hopped back a step in surprise, staring at Natsu and that familiar change - well, she hadn't seen him looking like that in a while. Relaxing, she glanced at Ryu, smiling sheepishly. ]

He's not the only one - we have a other Dragonslayers in the guild - and back home too. Though they have different elemental affinities.
