[The feed opens up to show a young man wearing intricate black armor and holding a purple covered tome with his right arm. His stance is stiff but refined with his free arm behind his back - his device must have been perched up somewhere just outside of the Bay - with an unreadable expression on his face. Despite his posture and expression, he isn't looking too hot... well, hot is exactly how he's looking, but he's doing his best to not let it show.

Gods, why was this place so hot?]

I must say, whoever is responsible for this is quite bold to even think about kidnapping a prince of Nohr. I almost want to say I'm impressed by such audacity.

[But he's certainly not amused. They brought him here at such an important time at home during the war. Whoever did this had a lot of nerve, and if he found the one responsible, he certainly wouldn't be merciful.]

Do not worry. I got the message from the apparition, and I believe I've got this contraption figured out. [It didn't take him very long.] What I want to know is for what purpose are we brought here. I already intend to pour over the information available on this place, so don't waste my time repeating what I've already been told.

[He already imagines that there's going to be numerous refreshers once he gets to reading. After all, he has three different places to pay a good long visit to- the library, the travel agency and the research foundation. He looks about ready to shut the feed off, but he remembers one last thing.]

Niles. Odin. If you're out there, I want you to report to me immediately.

[And the feed cuts.]

Yeah, that's not an apparition. It's a recorded hologram. Don't really know how those work myself, but it's a machine, no spirits involved.

A machine is capable of such a thing? Interesting. I apparently have much to learn about this place.

[At least he won't be bored.]

Are there any other machines I should be made aware of? I would rather not be blindsided again.

You name it, there's probably a machine that does it. Which isn't to say this place is purely technological though.

If only there were a machine to change this blasted weather.

[He lets out a heavy sigh. He can't let the weather cloud his mind and make him aggravated.]

If what I read is true, then at least two of these cities are reliant on such 'technology.' It may take quite some time to fully understand it.

[He wasn't entirely what a lot of what the pamphlet said meant, but Nova City sounded like a real hassle.]

Who are you, anyway? Are you a native to this place?

Yeah, it's... not usually this hot.

[He shakes his head.]

Nah, I'm no more native than you. Name's Dante.

It isn't? Well, that's a relief. I can only hope it doesn't last for long.

[Look if he's going to be trapped here, the least the weather can do is make it reasonably pleasant okay]

Dante, is it? Well met. I am Leo. [He won't go into the whole "prince of Nohr" shpiel because, let's be real, Dante heard that already so long as his ears were cleaned out.]

Dare I ask how long this place has trapped you for? I don't know if I should prepare myself for the long haul.

I'm doing everything I can to keep Attleton cooled off at the very least.

[He makes a dismissive gesture.]

I'm not a good marker for how long people tend to be here. I've been here a couple years now, but I'm one of the rare ones. Most people aren't here for a whole year.

A year is a rarity? I don't know if I should be thankful of that.

[Because on one hand, that'll mean there's a chance he'll be sent home sooner and they can get that war over with. On the other, if he learns of family here, he might not be in such a hurry to leave.]

What in the world are we expected to do here? To say this place is "different" from where I come from is an understatement.

You aren't expected to really do anything. We've just been sorta living here.

[There's a shrug.]

Nobody's really sure why we're here so we just kinda... take things as they're thrown at us.

...Leo?

[First Elise, and now Leo. Azura's already standing up from her seated position wherever she is, her face full of concern and just a touch of exasperation.]

Are you still where you woke up?

Azura? They got you as well? Don't tell me the whole family's here.

[Of all times during this war, why did it have to take them now?]

The Bay, was it? Yes, I am. I was just about to go to this "Schnee" place nearby.

[Because he's got reading to do and to get out of the Gods forsaken heat.]

...No, they are not but I've been here a few months now. Xander was here briefly before returning. But... I did see Elise earlier.

[She pauses, a frown placed lightly on her lips as she considers.] I can come meet you, you must be uncomfortable in all of that armor. The heat here has been unbearable.

Months? That's impossible. I just saw you before I woke up here! All of us were together in Hoshido.

[His brow furrows.] Damn, Elise too?!

[To whisk away three members of Nohrian royalty, and to have even Xander briefly... just what kind of forces were at play here?]

If you and Elise are both here, then perhaps I should be grateful that I was brought here as well. But... Gods, the weather isn't like this all the time I hope?

Time here works differently, it's not as impossible as you may think.

[but at the next question, she gives a thoughtful hum.] No, it's not always this hot. It's a recent development. I'll be by soon. Try to find somewhere with shade for now.

[she has plenty of questions, especially about why Hoshido but she puts them on hold for now, in order to expedite getting to Leo sooner than later.]

I... see. I feel I should apologize in advance before I end up bombarding you with questions.

[He feels like he's going to have a lot before this conversation's over.]

I'll step back into the Bay in the meantime. It isn't much, but it's better than waiting in the direct sunlight.

[The shade and the water helps make it a little cooler at the very least. It's better than nothing.]

Goodness, it's fine. I'd rather you ask me questions than be uninformed. [There's a hint of a laugh in her voice, honestly she's a little happy to see someone she knows.]

[Luckily it doesn't take her too long to get to the bay. She rounds the corner, searching the shaded area for Leo, eyebrows raising as she sets her sights on him.]

There you are, Leo.

[Leo was doing another once-over of the items that came in that box and of all the additional booklets and pamphlets that were by the hologram while he waited. He lifted his gaze once he heard Azura's voice, relieved when he actually saw her. He'd almost feared that it wasn't actually her he was speaking to over the device, but there she was to put those fears to rest. He straightened his back as he turned to her fully.]

Azura. It's good to see you. In person, that is. [He pauses.] Beyond yourself and Elise, is there anyone else from Nohr here?

[It's a longshot, but it would be nice to know if either of his retainers were here. Not that he's holding his breath, mind you.]

No. Not that have made themselves known. How are you fairing? If you're ready, I can show you to the commons, where you can at least shed your armor. It would make traveling in this heat a lot easier.

[Azura had arrived alarmed, much like Leo himself. But in her time here she's let her guard drop, as there often isn't really any need to be on constant alert. It's not like they're in the middle of a war here.]

I know you have questions, but there are some I would like to ask you, too.

I see. So hoping Niles or Odin were somewhere was too much.

[It's annoying, but he'll manage. It's not like he's helpless without them.]

I'm not sure I'm comfortable traveling foreign lands without my armor, but I guess it can't be helped.

[It's either no armor or heatstroke. Surely no one would be dumb enough to jump them when he's got Brynhildr anyway. It was pretty stupid to kidnap someone and leave them armed.]

I'll answer whatever I can, but let's save that for when we're at the commons. Please, lead the way.

[He's not sure what she'd have to ask him, but seeing how little she approached anyone but Corrin before, surely it's important.]

I know it's disconcerting, but we are largely safe here, you'll come to see that in time.

[She does lead the way to the commons, quiet as she always seems to be for the most part, as she thinks of how to ask her questions without alarming or raising suspicions should what she assumes be true.]

You mentioned Hoshido, can you remind me what the last events were before you arrived here?

I hope you're right. I feel more at ease hearing that from you than the "hologram." [Or whatever that white-haired man called it.]

A refresher? Of course. [Seems weird but-] Corrin led the Nohrian army into Hoshido. Just before I was brought here, we were victorious against that ill-mannered Hoshidan prince at the Great Wall of Suzanoh.

If time flows differently here, I assume you've forgotten that?

[He doesn't know how she COULD forget. Especially after what that idiot Takumi did after.]

[It takes all of Azura's concentration to avoid reacting as surprised outwardly as she is inwardly. Truthfully she didn't remember that at all, the events she could recall never had them leading an army into a capital.]

I'm sorry Leo, I remember things differently. Unfortunately it seems that time has indeed played with us.

Kidnapping a member of the Nohrian Royal Family would reward them with nothing but a swift death. But I'm not here to debate whether we've been kidnapped or not. I want to know the purpose of which we're here, and why they were foolish enough to leave me with my weapons.

As I said, the purpose, that we've been told, is to demonstrate and preserve life. Either defending it, which would explain why you've your arms, or exemplifying it, which explains it again. A life of docility isn't very lively, eh?

[She was glad that she didn't wear full armor. That had to be even worse than her outfit!]

[And he'll find them if he has anything to say about it. He's just concerned about this apparent memory loss that Elise seems to have.]

I will meet you there then. I'll feel a lot better knowing I'm at your side until I can confirm with absolute certainty that this place is actually safe.

[After he confirms that much, then... well. He likely won't stop her from doing what she wants. He lets out a heavy sigh.]

I don't know. This place is a nightmare compared to Nohr's climate. I can only hope this isn't commonplace.

Okay! I'm on my way![And honestly, she'd feel a lot better with him around until she knows this place better.]

I won't survive if it is.

[She made her way back to the commons, and started looking for her brother.]

Leo! I'm so glad you're here!

There's no need to be that dramatic, Elise.

[Even if somewhere deep in his mind, he agrees with her. This weather is brutal in armor, let alone black armor.

Of course in the Commons, Leo himself was a bit baffled by the cool air in the building. Whatever it was, it was one hell of a relief and allowed him to regain some of his regal posture without looking like he was about to keel over right in the lobby. He looked up when he heard Elise's voice, a small smile coming to his face.]

Elise. I'm glad to see you. [A little emphasis on the "seeing her" part. At least that broadcasting trinket couldn't conjure illusions after all.] I suppose I'll have to see to it that we get a place to stay together, don't I?

[And... get a job? Never in the world would that have crossed his mind.]

Yes! According to one of the people I talked to earlier, we'll have to get jobs too. I wonder if its hard to get one...

Oh yeah, I actually agreed to stay with someone instead of the commons until I figure things out. I was so excited I forgot. I bet we can see if he has room for you too!

I believe there is a place that has all the information people have gathered around here that I am sure is much better than asking many people and potentially getting the same answer every time.

Had you been paying even a modicum of attention, you would have heard me when I said not to waste my time telling me things I already know. I am well aware of the Schnee location across the way and have every intention of visiting it momentarily.

And it's good that you're not asking for anything, because I assure you, you've not proven at all useful to be remotely rewarded in any way.

If you were aware of it then why ask for information in the first place? Seems like a dumb thing to do.
