[The feed opens with the familiar desk and ambiguous location that Ozpin has broadcast from many times, and even though his voice sounds a bit tired, his face seems as stiff and neutral as ever.]

Given the chaos that has engulfed the city, I would like to take stock of a few things. Firstly being any injuries suffered by those of us with the necklaces. I know it is rather... cold to say, but I believe that we should be prioritized with the medical care if only to help facilitate the passage of others through the gates.

Secondly, I would like to take stock of the current situation with medical supplies within the affected area. With everything that has been going on, gathering these kinds of figures has been... difficult at best.

Lastly, I would like to take a moment to address any would-be vengeance seekers. I strongly advise against taking any kind of action at this moment. I understand that tensions and emotions are running high, and you've every right to feel this way. However, if what people are saying is true, and this was caused by one person, it would mean that they possess powers beyond just about anything any of us have ever come up against, and will likely need to be confronted with a unified front. At this point in time, a unified front simply isn't possible. Too many are injured, or missing and our priority should be tending to our wounded. However, that is not to say we should simply forget this transgression. Justice is a very... unique concept, and being just that - a concept - it can be called upon when most opportune.

The wheels may be turning slowly, but I assure you, they are turning.

No, this was a one-time event, so far. There is the potential for very volatile situations, however this was the most focused and destructive any of those situations turned out to be.

[And the fact he didn't see it coming has driven him nuts. Also, if he finds out - and he probably will - expect to be called out on it.]

[Yup, Zelos is fully prepared to be called out on this. But right now? He doesn't care about anyone here enough to bother to use his power.]

That would largely depend on you. Your level of skill, your attitude, etc. There are many here that possess abilities and powers that the normal civilians do not. I'm willing to guess that everyone with a necklace like ours would have some level of ability to make them noteworthy.

Right now, the only person I can say for certainty that you do not wish to associate with, is the one calling himself Lucifer. He seems to be at the heart of this chaos, and is at the top of many people's most wanted list at the moment.

[He winked, having a gesture to the sword hanging at his belt.]

I have a 15 year old student that handles a scythe bigger than you are like it weighed less than a feather. You're going to have to do more than a simple sword to impress me.

[If Zelos was trying to impress, he would have brought out his wings by now. But as of yet, he had no reason or intention to do so.]

Besides, back home? Knew this sweet girl who could wield an axe bigger than she was. She's 12.

Ozpin might notice a slightly strained look in his expression as he talks about his old teammate, however much he tries to conceal it.]

With all due respect, I train children to fight soulless beasts that are bent on sending humanity back to the endless void. In our world, my students are the best of the best. Here, we are outclassed in terms of power.

Be careful who you brag to. There are some that would take it as a challenge... and promptly beat you into the ground.

[So he was a teacher of some sort? Interesting. Shame he was not as attractive as Raine was.]

Hardly. They come to me. There is a very rigorous test that all applicants to my school must pass. Fighting the Creatures of Grimm is not an easy life to choose, and of those that choose it, fewer yet have the talent needed to survive it. Those that do, however, are then trained by my school and others like them.

[He narrows his eyes at the remark about his face.]

Then I would suggest you discard your weapon if your looks are that important to you. One cannot be a warrior and expect to never be struck.

[If she's a cute hunny? Then yes, he'll revoke that last comment.]

...Wow, sounds like a lot of work if it's that likely to just get them killed.

[He shrugs. He could never understand people like that.

Still, he draws his sword and skillfully twirls it in one hand.]

Aw, why would I do that when I can impress all my lovely hunnies with a flick of the sword? You know, women love a guy who can look this good with a weapon.

I've tended to the people I could find with my healing magic, but if you know of anyone else who needs help then you can call on me. I'm afraid I don't have much medical experience aside from some survival skills and herbal medicine.

[And loathe as he was to let Lucifer be out there still free, he knew Ozpin was right. When Ryu addresses Ozpin, it looks like he's in the process of preparing a few bandages coated with something he's been mixing.]

And what about you? How are you holding up? After all, you can't help others if you neglect your own well being.

There's no need to worry about me. I've still got plenty of magic to spare before I even start to feel tired.

[He sets the bandages down, it looks like he's been preparing a few medical supplies before he even heard Ozpin's call for it.]

I appreciate the concern, but I should be okay. I'm Ryu, by the way. I don't think I caught your name before.

Very well. I will trust in your judgement. Ah, forgive me. I am Professor Ozpin, headmaster of the Beacon Huntsman Academy in Vale, in my world.

You're Professor Ozpin? I'm not sure what I was expecting when Weiss mentioned you were teaching people how to fight monsters.

I've never really gone to school myself, so I was a little curious what Beacon was like. Especially since monster hunting isn't what most people would usually consider a normal subject of study.

[As the feed opens, Temari nods to show person respect for his wise announcement. Then as she straightens her back she looks back at him with a serious expression. Her features dirtier than what she would hope to appear like when faced with someone. But the past week hasn't been easy.]

Unfortunately, for those people who have necklaces like ours, not all injuries and bodies have been accounted for. With the destruction of the the heart of the city, relevant documents and statistics came with it. At present I'm unaware how to collate all known data.

As for the status of the hospital, most of the patients who are stationed at critical care unit have been shipped to Nova City. We've also been sending some of the current patients due to the destruction to the healers of all the other 4 cities. However...

[She points the feed at the tents surrounding the rubble of the hospital. The tents are full of patients with nurses and doctors tending to them.]

It's not enough. Aside from that, only 23 % of the city has been cleared of debris and people. That means over 3/4 of the city is still unchecked. Hence it is difficult to give you a complete estimate of the damage. Our medical supplies are running low. Current death population is at 112 and rising.

[Well well, this was a pleasant surprise. Ozpin is very grateful to the influx of statistics and information.]

Collecting and sorting information is a specialty of mine, so please, any information you come across would be helpful, much like all that information you just divulged. I will have my students focus their attention on the areas of the city that are unchecked. I will also send word to Nova City with the status of your own medical supplies and inquire if there are any to spare in the surrounding cities.

That would be highly appreciated. The patients here are increasing and the need surpasses the supply.

[She nods once more.]

I am part of the Intensive Care Unit, Temari. Tell me what info you need, and I will see if I can provide it readily. If I cannot, I will find a means to inform you as soon as possible.

[He pauses and taps at something off screen before turning back to the feed.]

My name is Professor Ozpin, headmaster of the Beacon Huntsman Academy in Vale, in my world. Right now, information is the best thing you can give me. My students are currently aiding where they can in the search and rescue operations, however should you require aid, I will send one of them to you.

It's a pleasure to meet you Professor Ozpin. For now, medical supplies are the only immediate requirement. Clearing of debris and finding people caught in them is still our priority. If there is anything else I can help you with at the moment, just say the word. But if not, for now, I shall go back to caring for the new patients who were just brought in.

[ She's willing to do her part! Thus far she's just been trying to help get people out from underneath debris using her glyphs, but if Ozpin needs her for anything else she's completely willing. ]

According to reports I've gotten thus far, over three quarters of the city has yet to be checked for survivors. I would like both teams RWBY and JNPR to work on checking as much of the city as possible. However, do not push yourselves to exhaustion. If you need a break, you can inquire in the surrounding cities if there are any medical supplies that could be spared for the camp around where the Hospital used to be.

I understand you will likely want to stay with your team, Miss Schnee, however, it is extremely important that you know when you are approaching your limits. Casting glyphs like yours can be extremely draining, do not push yourself.

Yes, sir.

[ She knows they're draining. She's had to take breaks twice already because she's well aware that she's going to end up passing out if she isn't careful. At least she's stayed away from any specific fighting to help her reserve her strength, but still.

..She has one more thing to ask though. Though probably much more privately, which is why she's going to suddenly adjust the privacy settings. ]

I think you should run for city guardian of Fayren, Professor Ozpin. The two current candidates are, well.. not anyone that I would want to put in charge.

One of the candidates decided that instead of helping, he was going to announce that he would become the Guardian. The other is.. not someone who should be in charge, from what I know about her. Though she doesn't know that I know about her, so I would appreciate it if you would keep that a secret since the person who told me is the only person who would have been able to and is currently trying to appeal to her good side to make sure that she doesn't go on a conquer-the-world spree.

You've shown that you're good at organizing and leading others both back home and here and I think people will see that if you decided to run. It would certainly keep us all much safer than the other two candidates.

[Ozpin gives a small smile.]

While I appreciate the sentiment, Miss Schnee, I think I will decline. True, both candidates have issues... but both also have potential.

For instance, you yourself said that Azula has someone appealing to her good side and is guiding her to be a more competent leader. She has the presence and charisma to inspire, should that person succeed in steering her from her more violent tendencies.

Mewtwo, on the other hand is... more enigmatic. However, what little information I've been able to glean from his conversations with others indicates he has had a life far more brutal than most, and suffered conditions not unlike those that the Faunus suffered over the years in various parts of the world. Slavery, emotional torture and manipulation... and the fact that he claims to have been created, not born, is another red flag as well.

However, he seems to have gotten at least a minor pass from the true guardians of Fayren; Fairy Tail. For some reason, he abducted one of their own, and returned her unharmed. The fact that they have not sought retribution speaks volumes about what really went on. It's an uneasy alliance, and I don't expect one to aid the other, but it does seem to give his desire to protect Fayren a bit more legitimacy in my eyes.

And make no mistake, Miss Schnee, whichever of them takes the title, without the support of Fairy Tail, they will be all but powerless to simply do as they will. No, Fayren is in good hands.

She has her brother, who is presently lying to her to prevent her from knowing that he's betrayed their family because she's unhinged and she's likely to have a psychotic break all over this world if she finds out. I think my choice of words when I said "appealing to her good side" was less accurate than it should have been. I know a lot less about Mewtwo but I'd rather like to hear what either of them actually have in store for Fayren if they're going to hold the position.

If Fairy Tail is doing such a good job, why doesn't one of them run for City Guardian?

I, for one, believe she should be given that chance. We cannot start punishing people for what they might do. So far, she has done nothing wrong here, and should be treated as such. If it happens, we will deal with it then.

[He chuckles a bit.]

During my brief time in their hall, it would probably because, as much as they deny it, they're all leaders. They have no formal leadership within their guild, despite two of them having held that title from what I gather. It is a truly unique circumstance where none of them want power over others, yet lead by doing regardless.

[ Except for the nearly killing the staff of the apartment building she lives in when she first got here, but.. maybe she should just trust Professor Ozpin and that Zuko can handle her. ]

Fine.. but I'm still telling my team not to use anything with firepower if it comes down to going against her!

[ Weiss doesn't trust her one bit. Particularly since Zuko himself pretty much said not to and Azula may have subtly implied something that very much sounded just short of a threat to Weiss.

That said, Weiss doesn't really feel comfortable arguing with Ozpin anymore since she's absolutely certain that even if she doesn't agree with him, this might be one of those times when she's going to have to keep an eye on this situation on her own. Clearly Professor Ozpin has a lot more faith in others than she does. ]

That would be wise, yes.

[He's very aware of that little incident and taken that into acocunt.]

I would also advise against using any lightning based attacks either. Really, the best course of action would be to avoid confrontation, but if it cannot be avoided, be cautious.

I'm well-aware, sir. Anything fire or lightning-related is dangerous against fire benders, since they can just turn it back to you. Zuko has been telling me a lot about it and their world. I would assume other forms of energy that involve high temperatures would be a potential threat around them as well, such as electricity, though I don't know that they're familiar enough with modern technology to understand how to work it to their advantage yet.

[ Weiss made a friend outside of her team, everyone should be proud. She's not going to tell most of what Zuko told her to Ozpin, but if it comes to the safety of Beacon people + Sun, she'll at least make sure to mention anything she learns about bending if it becomes relevant. At least she knows they're from a fairly low-tech world, so that helps with advantages. ]

[Ozpin makes a note to speak with Zuko after everything has settled down. He'd like to see just what these fire benders are capable of, and learn more about Azula.]

I see. This could be a large advantage, especially for you and your team. If they're unfamiliar with the workings of Dust and mechanisms designed to harness that energy, they won't know what to expect, should it ever come to blows.

I'm curious though, do you think this Zuko would be willing to meet with me?

Well, Zuko knows, and Azula knows a small, vague amount of information about Dust. But Zuko is a good person and he said if Azula gets out of hand, he'll be on our side. Just not to ever let Azula know that since their situation is very.. complicated.

[ She's not even sure if she should be telling Professor Ozpin, but she's hoping she can trust him. ]

I wasn't supposed to tell anyone about Azula and Zuko's relationship, so it might get a little complicated if you bring up anything regarding her. I haven't even mentioned much to my team yet- I mean, I'm going to, especially to Ruby, but I didn't tell Zuko I was going to tell you.

[ Weiss lives a complicated life of telling people things she's not supposed to. ]

Do not worry, Miss Schnee, should I talk to him, I will not mention that I know of their relationship any deeper than simply noticing they are from the same world.

I simply want to get a better idea on how their abilities work, and get a more detailed picture of what sort of a potential threat Azula may pose. If she is as unstable as you say, I would feel better if there were a plan in place should something happen. I do not intend to move against her without provocation... but I do not like being in the dark, either.

I can't guarantee that he'll want to talk to you about it, but I don't think it could hurt to try.

[ Weiss knows a bit about the things Ozpin says he'll ask about, actually, but it's better if he finds out from Zuko than her. She can't get in trouble with anyone if he's just planning on asking anyway. ]

[She's perhaps just as neutral but the only signs of being less than 100% comes with some smudges on her cap and apron. But the area around her is not within any of the cities since it is far too color-bright, rather unnaturally so.]

I passed my necklace over to someone else for the moment. It will be less of a drain on Princess that way. I'm afraid we don't have much in the way of medical supplies here but we have no need of such. Are there other objects that might be useful?

[Ozpin will just arch an eyebrow ever so slightly. The use of the word "princess" is... odd to him. As far as he knew, only Laharl and Azula claimed royalty in this place.]

Would that not make it impossible for you to move back and forth through the gates? As for supplies, medical supplies are in the highest demand, though clean water, blankets and clothing would likely be welcome as well. Given the level of destruction, I cannot imagine that everyone was able to keep their clothing clean and intact, so fresh clothes would likely go a long way to prevent infections...

...I have to ask though, who is this princess you refer to?
