[Since Espio's arrival on the 3rd, Marco has been unwilling to put the chameleon down or let him out of his sight. Even worse than he gets with Thatch and Ace. After all, he might have trouble holding onto them, but he can usually FIND THEM again, Espio, on the other hand, was in a place Marco had troubles going, and almost no way to pull Espio out. So he'll be damned if he doesn't throw his all into keeping Espio here as long as he can. Probably at the expense of everyone's sanity including his own, however. Someone stage an intervention.]

[An orange fire phoenix flies across the hall before Ikki materializes in front of Rip as soon as the other leaves. He's frowning and clearly not pleased but his eyes look over her with worry.]

I wasn't sure if you needed help or... Wanted it. So I waited.

[He doesn't ask if she's okay with words but the way he keeps looking at her seems to imply it.]

[A shudder ran down her spine at the appearance of flames and it's only a reminder of the fact that there were two phoenixes here that meant her no harm that really kept her from freaking out.

Rip glances behind to where Alucard had been moments before, trying to keep herself calm enough though the thought of him was enough to spark her anger slightly again.]

I'm fine. He iz...an old acquaintance from my past und as dangerous as he is, I doubt he vill harm me.

[She drew in a deep breath to try and relax.]

If you want, next time I sense him I won't hesitate to come. He wasn't easy to read either, but I don't think I like him.

[Rip nodded, relaxing a little bit at his suggestion. She wasn't too thrilled with how he waltzed in either and considering her desire to protect the estate even if it's lessened now, it just didn't sit well with her.]

Your Cosmo. Some call it spiritual energy, ki and other things. Every creature has it, except robots, at least as far as I can tell.

Normally I use it to know where everyone is, more or less, and know if they need help based on how their Cosmo feels. Nervousness, fear, those things show on it...

But with you and others it's hard to discern those things, I suppose it's because of you're a vampire. So I assume that guy was a vampire too or something similar.

[She nodded slightly, just taking in that little explanation and finding it made sense. In a way it was like her own sixth sense with living creatures around her. It helped her track and know when threats were around...It was both a good thing and a bad thing.]

[Rip began to look a little uneasy and then shook her head slightly pinching the bridge of her nose under her glasses.]

[He pauses at her expression and frowns, shaking his head as she goes on.]

And I thought things with Leanne were complicated... Well, take your time to figure it out, no need to rush. If he has a problem with that, he will have to go through us first. I've no idea how I would fare against a vampire but I wouldn't make it easy for him.

[It's not just words in his case, if there's something Ikki puts over anything else is family. And ever since Nautilus he has come to see as family many people, whether they like it or not.]

[She gave a faint snort and a slight smile at the complicated comment.]

I'm trying to. He iz just.. slightly pushy. But, I refuse to give up my family or my lovers for him. I love Namur und Augustine too much to leave zhem for someone like him.

Maybe he's nervous because Namur is that good and he knows the competition is hard. I don't know Augustine enough to tell but if you chose him I'm sure he's a strong competitor as well.

[Ikki shrugs and offers a small smile.]

Either way, I'm glad to hear that you refuse to give us up, in what little time I've had to reconnect with Marco I can tell that's a general and mutual feeling.

[He pauses and seems hesitant for a moment before he frowns again.]

You don't have to answer, but I couldn't help to notice that even before that Alucard arrived, you prefered to be alone and... Out of sight.

What happened?

[Considering both men had her heart so completely at this point? There was little doubt in her mind on how much she loved the both of them. And how could she give up the one thing she's been desperate for since she died?

Rip was thrilled to join Marco's crew and be part of this family. To know that people genuinely wanted her and had her back wasn't something Rip was really used to. So like hell she'd give it up!]

I vent to zhe dream docks recently. I'm dealing vith zhe headache und flood of memories... und zhey aren't particularly pleasant.

[Ikki had considered them, to see if he could remember the things Marco talked about. But at the same time he's not sure he wants or even needs to remember, not when he can just restart things with Marco. He wants to get to know Marco, Namur and Thatch but he wants to do it as he is now, not by taking a shortcut... And seeing Rip now he's even more sure that he probably doesn't want that.]

Wait, "trained"? Like... As if you were a dog or a slave?

[The phoenix frowns, feeling his rage inside react instantly at the thought of it. He hesitates for the next question and won't blame her if she refuses to answer, but he still asks it, because he wants to know who would "train" someone else like that.

[She tensed slightly when he picked up on that and just nodded. She could argue semantics about whether she was a slave or not but... at the same time, she really couldn't. Rip had let it happen to her and was suffering the long term consequences now.]

[He expected that so he nods even if he's clearly annoyed, not at the answer but at the fact that someone had done that to her.]

Guess that just a name wouldn't serve for much then. But if they do show up... I would like to have a word with them if you please.

[Not really a word but he isn't really in a position to ask her to tell him or anything. Besides, he knows that if she comes to tell about that to others, Marco and Namur would probably be first in line to have a chat with whoever was responsible.]

[She pinched the bridge of her nose, just trying to shove those memories down once more.]

[Ikki's not one for physical gestures, not until he's comfortable, and while Rip is family he doesn't think they really know each other enough for it. So he doesn't offer a hug or anything much, just a hand on her shoulder and a squeeze.

Part of him would like to ask more but she's clearly not comfortable with it and after everything else... He knows she deserves to be able to try to stop thinking about those things, so the distraction of being with everyone else should be good.]

[She tenses slightly and at the touch before relaxing, recognizing that he meant it to be reassuring. And she really did need it and welcomed it.]
