A Rude Awakening | Action & Video

[With the dreams ending when they did, it didn’t take Bakugou long to rouse awake. Everything that had happened… everything that had taken place because of him. His eyes gazed gloomily at the floor, but he managed a dull:]

Aizawa-sensei, you awake?

[But he had no more time to dwell when he glanced at where he expected his teacher to be, safe if not in his usual exhausted state. He wasn’t prepared for the blood.]

[When Aizawa came around as well, everything was dark. The mission…. Overhaul…. His students and allies! That’s right, he was doing something important. Yet, something wasn’t right. He still couldn’t move. He remembered he was struck with something before he passed out, and the conversation with the villain, he talked too much. But the most important question, was he still dreaming? It was hard to tell until he heard Bakugou’s voice.

If Bakugou looked towards Aizawa, his eyes were wrapped with a white cloth. His right shoulder bled from a fresh stabbed wound. Aizawa couldn’t say anything or lift a finger. He managed to let out a low groan, but that was it.

Now… what did that villain said after he was hit? One hour… this was turning out great.]

Ai-

Aizawa-sensei! [Bakugou’s voice was hoarse with panic as he tore out from his seat to run to his teacher’s side. Had he been attacked while they were left completely vulnerable? It was the only explanation he could think of. How long had he been left here bleeding out? Helplessly, his hands hovered over the stab wound. How the fuck was he supposed to stop the bleeding? What if he made things worse? Dammit, he was a fighter, not a healer. His eyes glanced at the bandages before he came to a decision.]

I’m calling for help, and then I’ll try to stop the bleeding. Hang on…

[Retrieving his device, his fingers panickedly mashed on the screen as he made a rushed video to the network:]

[The image may be a little shaky, but it’s easy to see the bleeding figure of Aizawa over Bakugou’s shoulder. For some reason, his eyes are bandaged too. The blonde doesn’t even bother to breathe before he yells over the network (thank goodness for his strong lungs):]

I need a fucking healer, STAT-!

You hear me?! Answer me, dammit! Aizawa-sensei’s, he’s…

Satou, Fire Hair, Monster Pet, I don’t give a shit who responds, just hurry the hell up!

[ooc: Black is Aizawa and orange is Bakugou!]

I'm not a healer, but I can fly him to a hospital.

Where are you? I have do what I can, but you have to remain calm.

[His voice is quiet.] Hurry up and get here. I'm at the dream docks.

[Calm? CALM? That explosive sound that was scorching the floor with his punch is definitely calm.]

I'm at the Dream Docks.

I'll be there shortly. Until I get there, lie him down and make sure his breathing stays unobstructed.

[Yeah, that sounded as calm as Ace and Ikki getting into a fight. She goes to start cooing gently and warmly at him.]

I will be there soon. I am a healer.

[And up into the air she goes to start flying towards the Dream Docks.]

What happened and from what you can tell, what are the extent of his injuries?

I'm on my way. Dream Docks, right?

[She can wish them an excited 'welcome home' later. Satou had already been waiting around for them to come home soon, so she isn't even very far away.]

Don't move, either of you! I will be there shortly. Apply pressure to the wound and take deep breaths, okay?

You've plenty of help on the way, no doubt. But there is more you can do than simply asking for help. I can walk you through applying a bandage that will hold back the bleeding until help arrives.

[there's a pause, Solas' words surprisingly calm.] But you are going to need to calm down first. As much as you can.

You say lie him down, Satou says put pressure, you're all saying different fucking things so what the fuck am I supposed to do?!

Yeah.

[He goes to put pressure on Aizawa's wound, not sure if it's too much but figuring too much is better than letting him bleed out. His voice is flat.]

Satou. Be on the lookout when you get here. I think he was attacked.

Hurry!

Oh, I don't fucking know I just woke up and MY TEACHER WAS BLEEDING OUT. Were you expecting anything different?!

...It's his shoulder.

[In the background, there's a motion blur. She's flying pretty quick. In fact, he might recognize some buildings that aren't too far from the dream docks.]

Lie him down first, then apply direct pressure to the wound. As you're doing that, watch to make sure he's breathing and his heart's still beating steadily. If he's at all conscious, keep talking to him. The sound of a familiar voice will help relax him.

Thank you for the information.

[A small sigh to keep herself calm as she goes back to cooing.]

You are doing good so far. The calmer you are, the better it will be for your teacher.

I am almost there.

[She can be seen picking up her pace, using wings on her heels as a means of speeding herself up. Satou just nods to his comment, so that she can focus on her surroundings. She also doesn’t want him to have to speak anymore, just in case someone really is there and looking to finish them off.

When she arrives, Satou signals it by setting up a thin, pink barrier of magic.]

Is he conscious?

[His hands won't stop shaking. This only happened because he had been reckless thinking he could dream at the same time and they'd both be safe, and now his teacher was bleeding out and he couldn't do a damn thing about it. Or he couldn't if he couldn't get his body to calm the fuck down. He stares blankly at Solas, before gritting his teeth and firing off an explosion away from Aizawa and himself. It doesn't quite calm him down, but it grounds him enough to reply.]

What do I have to do?

[Even though he wasn't in real danger, he was impressed. Bakugou took in account for a possible assault or ambush and so did the other one.

This slow quirk was annoying. The only thing he could do now was drag his fingers a little. It wasn't much but enough to indicate Aizawa was indeed conscious.

And his eyes were still covered. Nothing bad happened to him. The enemy just didn't like his quirk.]

[not what he expected, but it worked so he's going to leave well enough alone.]

You should have spare cloth of some kind, shirts, pants, it can be torn into strips. Normally you would want to include some sort of antiseptic, but this is not the situation to worry about that. Fold the cloth into a small, compact square and use another long strip to hold it in place over the wound. You want it to be tight, but not enough to cut off the circulation.

[He realizes that's a lot, so he's going to pause.] Start with finding materials.

DAMMIT SENSEI, DON'T YOU EVEN THINK ABOUT GIVING UP!!!

[Yeah, his familiar voice must be very relaxing. But Bakugou starts to follow a combination of Bulla, Satou and Solas' instructions.]

Got it. [Without hesitation Bakugou tears the sleeves from his shirt and an extra strip of cloth from the bottom of his pants in case he needs more. He folds it as instructed until he's certain it's compact enough. Pressing the cloth down, he works on tying the other piece of cloth.]

Stupid fucking arm's in the way. [Despite his grumbling, he quickly ties it firmly. Possibly too firmly.]

If you have to restrict the movement of his arm to secure it, don't worry.

[he does his best to watch as he can, head inclining slightly once the bandage is tied.] Ah, loosen that, just a little. Remember what I said about obstructing his circulation.

But otherwise, well done. [You are a fast learner, Bakugou.]

[Bulla arrives not too long afterward, touching down on the ground a few feet from the pink barrier. She's not going to try to do anything that would disrupt that barrier, and instead hangs back.

She takes a few steps closer and speaks quietly to the group.]

I'm going to check the area. If whoever is responsible is still around, there should be a trail of blood.

I'm on my way!

[She doesn't need to ask where he is. By now, she's at least familiar enough with his reiatsu to recognize it from a distance.]

Did someone else get there first? Do you still need me?

[If that's the case, she'll stop and turn around, but she's moving at a pretty quick clip until she's told she isn't needed.]

[Well, he might have just gotten the position of nurse at the hospital, but Ichigo knows combat wounds, and he’s a lot faster than your average human, at least if he leaves his body behind. As soon as the post goes up on the network, he grabs his combat pass and steps out of his body, grabbing for one of the mobile first aid kits as he tucks his body into a convenient...well, it’s a supply closet, honestly, and he’ll have to figure out something better, but it’ll do for now. He launches into the air and flips open his own phone.]

I’m on my way too. Listen to what the others are telling you, it’s good advice too.

[Right now he kinda wishes that he’d spent more time with Hanatarou, and maybe he should make a nifty carry-bag like the Fourth Division medics had. First aid kits are a little awkward in flash-step.]

Don’t move him too much if you can help it, and keep him still - ‘specially his spine, at least until we can figure out how bad things are.

[does Orihime want a lift on the Shinigami Express?]

[You know she do.]
