Dog Tips for Dog Days of Summer / Video

While it may be hot out [He honestly can't tell, although he isn't wearing his jacket giving anyone a view of the muscles and jeans, while he keeps working on motorcycles, but also his dogs: a Samoyed licking ice as in the picture, and an enormous Tibetan mastiff, but he doesn't seem otherwise affected in the least.] your dogs still need walking every day. They can't cool off as easily as humans, so make sure you bring along a lot of water both for them and yourself. Also safe treats like ice, or popsicles. Pupsicles, even. [Yes, the motorcycle marine just said that with a straight face.] You can make them with low-salt peanutbutter, apples, bananas, strawberries, molasses, or if you're really ambitious, cook bacon, make a soup and slowly freeze it.
Days like this I miss Aokiji.
Keep cool.
God. That's something he'd say. Or that he'd say I shouldn't be allowed to say because I sound stupid saying it. Why is this still rolling? [SHUTS IT OFF ASAP.]

...
Great, Augustine wants a fluffy white dog now. He has a lovely brocade suit that matches the puppy's fur.]
Pupsicles? [He snickers.] Better get that trademarked but wait! Was this a commercial?
video
[Laughs.] The motorcycle business has tapered off some, I guess I have a competitor or something, [Or he's that bad at advertising.] but not so much that I'm quitting anytime soon.
Re: video
Hopefully business will pick up again.
Re: video
What should I do? Stick a sign on her? [SEE? HE IS THAT BAD.]
Re: video
Putting a sign on your dear pooch will rattle the rabble-rousers around here. The last thing you want is someone claiming it's animal abuse.
[Besides, he's certain the little pup would tear that sign apart.]
What you should do is take a picture of her and use her in your advertising or maybe make a logo featuring her image.
Re: video
Okay, I can do that.
I don't have helmets for them though. I wonder if they make bike goggles that would even fit.
Re: video
The pup?
Re: video
I don't put helmets on them when I'm driving, but only because of my smoke powers. I don't want to set bad examples for anyone else.
Re: video
If that's the case, then you ought to commission someone to make doggie helmets but I have no idea who.
Re: video
I guess I could ask around. Or... make them myself. That might even help replace some of the lost interest, right?
video
They're sweet-looking dogs. Did you adopt them here?
video
My ex and daughter teamed up on me and I could never say no enough to either of them. Luckily they're good. Know when to shut up more than humans, and better at conserving energy than either of their humans.
video
Do they like to swim?
video
I can't swim myself, so I've never taken them to try.

video
[... Sort of. He can doggie paddle in theory.] It's a curse from my world. In exchange for being made of smoke.
video
Then maybe they could splash about in a wading pool? My dog hated bathtime, but I could sometimes trick him under a fountain.

[AS YOU DO.]

Video
Bacon soup, eh? I'll keep that in mind. Any wisdom to offer on getting an animal to like you? One I know of one who runs more misanthropic than most.
Video
Animals are like people. Some are just assholes. [LIKE SMOKER HIMSELF.]
Best you can do is take it easy and let it come to you. It's a dog though, right? Not a wild whatever? Just provide water and food, a place for it to sit dry if it's raining, and it'll either take a liking to you or never will. Some people are just like that.
Re: Video
Heh, I've no idea the extent of his domestication. Nothing substantial, I figure. He was very surly.
Do dogs dislike the rain? I thought they were wont to play in it.
Re: Video
Nah, I mean in this weather, they might. But usually no. You ever try sleeping in the rain? It's not comfortable.
