[Action-Fayren]

She's going herself a spot under a tree, and is digging through a small pouch, as if looking for something. She'll reach in and pull out...books! There certainly no way all the books she produces would fit into any normal pouch, but perhaps such things are common place here in Fayren. Either way, she's making small piles, checking titled and sorting through them. Occasionally she talks out loud to herself, counting title numbers or just that quiet muttering of someone sorting through a mental inventory.

[She's still not used to this technology, so it's up and running while she tries to set it on something so she can use both her hands.

A Tome of Amaunator, he's a god of Toril. A dead one, but I like him. Ah, I have a history of Calimshan, a history of the Moonsea, a guide to building golums -it's missing some pages though. I have the entire set of the histories of Shadowdale, and most of the Waterdeep histories.

Uh... this one's about the Umar Witch, but I'm not sure if she's even real or not. History of Amn, history of Zhentarim, history of Unicorn Run. The history of the Dales and the Elven Court.

[There's a lot of books, and she reaches into her far-too-small-to-hold-any-of-this pouch, pulling out a couple more.]

[Well that's not a voice she knows, but if someone wanted to know more about her books, she certainly wouldn't restrict them.]

Hello there. [Disembodied voice] Yes, this book here is the one.

[She holds it back up. It's clearly a hand assembled tome, decently thick, with leather bindings.]

Is there something you'd like to know about it? Or you could borrow it if you like, though it might be hard to follow at first, without context.

[She's the only person around from Toril, as far as she's aware. And this person didn't seem to recognize anything else she'd rattled off, so it was safe continue to assume.]

[ Alley's watching the video, even if she hasn't switched it on on her end. So she sees the book, at least. ]

I... were the Dales a homeland of elves on your world, as well?

They were. Technically could still be claimed as such, since the pact that was agreed on with the settlers required them to defend the elvish lands, if they wished to stay.

[Though at this point, if the elves wanted the dalelanders out, it would be a small war.]

That... sounds rather familiar, although the elves of my world don't have any such agreement with the Freemen of the Dales. We also don't... have the Dales, anymore.

I'm sorry to hear that.

[It's a genuine sentiment. It's hard being uprooted, no matter the circumstances. But she also doesn't linger on the sad note, instead turning to the other bit that had caught her attention.]

[ And Alley finally turns on the video on her end, revealing her damaged face -- scars, many scars, and a nose that's been broken and not set properly multiple times -- but more importantly to the topic at hand, the video shows her pointed ears. ]

We lost the Dales long before my time, but I find the parallels between worlds interesting.

[The scars don't shock her. Rather they tell her things. This elf has lead a hard life, but is strong, a survivor.]

Indeed, such a comparable history is rather intriguing. Might I persuade you to trade tales of our worlds with me, my lady?

[ Perhaps a long life at that, going by the way half of her hair is a dark, steely grey. Alleyana tips her head slightly to one side, considering the question, and then nods. ]
