[action]
[When Memo wakes, she is completely calm. Blinking and then finding herself in unfamiliar surroundings is quite common for her. What does take her by surprise is tripping out of her pod clumsily. A cute black diary slips out of her hands as she tries to steady herself and plops into the shallow water.
Minutes later, Memo can be found on her kneels right outside of The Bay. She has her head down as the strange, wing-like appendages on her head flap frantically. On closer inspection, she's trying to dry the pages of her diary, which lays open on the pavement. The flapping is also causing her free red bills to fly away, but she doesn't care. A few are folded into origami shapes and one has a bite taken out of it.]
... I cannot read it. What do I do?
[Later, that same girl is on video. This time, her headwings are folded and nestled into her white hair, almost out of sight.
She gives the camera a deadpan stare.]
I am Memo, a disposed of Demon. I request aid.
I am able to compensate you for your trouble. I can remove an unpleasant memory. I am also gifted at origami. I can even make the samurai hat. My request is for food, shelter, and memories of my recent arrival here.
Thank you for your generosity. [and just like that, she hangs up. Or tries to. The video is still running as she takes out her diary and tries to review the content.]

As he walked he was looking for the source and once spotted he caused, both curious and just being himself he spoke.]
What the hell are you suppose to be?

Words, on the other hand, are all too present. Another stranger to help! Just what he's always wanted.]
You ask one literate, of course! Which I am, and would be happy to do, upon providing a name.

Demon. I deal with memories. [She tilts her head curiously.] What the hell are you supposed to be?

Memo. [That's her name.] It won't help. The pages are ruined. The ink is smeared. [Her attention goes back to the diary, which she tries to fan dry again.]

[He knew that with them being a demon, he could be at least a tiny bit more comfortable. But yet since she didn't seem to know who he was right off the back as most demons do, he knew different worldly demon... So he wasn't sure if their thoughts on certain subjects would be the same or not.]
Also demon, but I don't deal with memories. Just fire and bad luck.

[She peels two pages apart delicately, but the ink is now run together and the writing impossible to decipher.]
Surely there must be a way to salvage it?

I wasn't going to offer aid, princes don't help. But in all honesty, there would be a limit to question time anyway. it's better to observe the world around you and pick things up from there.

[She holds up her ruined diary.]
I must acquire another of these. And a pen. I have no way of storing longterm information otherwise.

There might. Care for a short walk? I can't make any guarantees, but there may be one who can put it back to rights.
no subject
There are stationary stores nearby you can go to, I suppose.
