[The video clicks on from atop a dresser, with a wide view of Uai’s Fayen bedroom. In the background: Utter chaos. Uai (blue) is holding human Hana’s (purple) arm in one hand, while the other holds a purple toothbrush as menacing as one can hold a toothbrush.]

I told you to brush your teeth every day! You’re going to get cavities!

[Meanwhile on the other side of the ring, Hana is chomping at him, bumbles and grumbles that was garbled from leftover toothpaste attempts]

I won’t GET cavities! I’m not a person, I’m a dragon, and my teeth are NOT rocks..! Toothpaste tastes too good to rinse out toooooo…

[Uai squints at her.] We’re not taking chances with your teeth and all of that sugar you eat. A sweet tooth is fine. Rotting teeth are not. [He holds out the toothbrush.] I can’t believe I’m babysitting you.

[Hana tried to swat the toothbrush out of Uai’s hand like a cornered big cat]

This isn’t even my real form! If I really wanted to brush I would have to be myself...but we can’t. Too small in here. Like you said in the first place so.. [cue sticking her tongue out, but not before licking her teeth from the delicious paste.

At that, Uai makes 5 more tubes of toothpaste materialize between his fingers, like a confused dentist ninja.] Then let’s bring this outside. We have enough for your true form.

[He regards the camera, frowning.] Can someone please explain to her what a cavity is, before she gets one?

[She remembers you. She is also very familiar with Uai. It's hard not to laugh at this whole situation, but for now at least she's managed to keep her voice even. Perhaps even with a scolding tone to it.

Teeth brushing is serious.]

[Oh, it's Azura. This... This is kind of embarrassing and awkward.

Uai slowly puts down his arms, and the ridiculous amount of toothpaste.

Do your thing while he tries to reclaim his dignity.]

[She heard her voice, her sweet voice and turned to the camera]

Azura! Help! Uai's trying to put food on my teeth..it just seems so..so...not right? He doesn't even have the big brushes if I become the real me. You must know this..right?

Hana, I'm sorry. [this is not the support you wanted.]

Toothpaste isn't food, it can make you very sick if you eat it, even if you are a dragon. Your smaller form is still you, isn't it? It's still important to keep your teeth from rotting.

But if you need help with your bigger teeth, perhaps I could assist.

[she's already having a conversation with Hana, so she might as well address Uai as well.]

You're enjoying yourself, aren't you? [It was a cute display, to be honest. Very fatherly even if uh... unconventional. It's clear he cares about Hana very much.]

Wh..sick? Something like that? No way..

[Hana was taken aback though by the BETRAYAL, and just whined a bit]

...N..not really my form. It's like..a compressed version? Like I'm just stuffed in a turtle shell...

Teeth can't rot either..how do you know about this? Any of youu?

[She's always calling him out..! It's kind of nice, though. He has no reason to put up walls if she's going to see through them anyway.]

... Maybe a bit. I would be happier if she brushed her teeth, though. If she gets cavities, I'm not paying the bill--- well.

[He knows he will pay the bill and panic over any harm that comes to Hana.]

Do you trust me Hana? I have no reason to lie to you.

I think both I, and definitely Uai just want to take care of you. It would make us feel better if you brushed both form's teeth.

[Even if it has no benefit (which she doubts, honestly).]

I have a hard time believing that. It's very obvious you care about her a lot.

[she's not fully privy to their intertwined history though.]

I'll try to talk to her about it, but maybe a gentler approach would be more effective. ...Even if I can tell you're mostly playing.

[Okay, yeah. She sees right through him.

Mostly helping. Maybe a little playing... I can't touch her, so it's really difficult. [He officially sets the extra toothpaste down by the camera.]

Sorry to trouble you. If you can do anything at all... She doesn't seem to like me much.

[Crosses her arms, huffing] You..wouldn't, I know, you're a good person. Both you and Uai are...

[perks up at an idea!]

..But wait! What's the benefit? I don't eat things normally! I eat souls and those don't require teeth at all!

You don't think so?

[That gets a raised brow. From the looks of it, she may have been resisting the toothbrushing but...]

I have a feeling if Hana did not want to be around you, Uai, she wouldn't be. Kind as she is, I've seen that she can be quite independent when she wants to be.

[completely dismissing the "troubling her" part of that. Uai you should know better by this point.]

Even if you don't eat often or hardly at all, bacteria can grow in your mouth. Brushing keeps that from happening.

Even Uai and I both brush our teeth. [it's like appealing to Elise, in a way. If she were a little younger. ...Even if Hana is probably deceptively much older than she seems.]

[pauses, shocked, and FROWNING, this was a turn of events] ..Why are they there..

[Listen, Azura, Uai is a record with only one song to play: The "sorry to trouble you" song.]

... You have a point, I agree. She's never really needed me. [That's something that he always appreciated about their relationship. They both grew more independent together, but chose that togetherness even when it was no longer 'necessary.'

The gentle reminder helps Uai put some of his broken feelings together.]

She doesn't want me here, either. She just accepts that I'm convenient... I need to get used to that and stop pushing for her to want me. [He sighs.] Thanks for the reminder, Azura.

They like to grow in warm, wet places. Keeping those places clean means they don't have food to eat and grow. It also brushes them away if they've decided to move in.

[she doesn't mean to make this sound insidious. Azura pls.]

So brushing with the paste, and a brush, is good for you.

I... what? No! [Is that what Uai took from what she said? Azura looks startled, concerned.]

Uai that's...! Not what I meant. She's there because she wants to be near you. If she didn't like you she wouldn't be! Someone can still want you, even if they can be independent.

[Uai you're twisting her words!]

[Twist her words? He’s on the case!

Realizing he’s worried her, Uai waves his hand dismissively. He knows he’s doing this to himself.]

Ah, no... Sorry. I know, it’s just... complicated. [He can’t explain when’s Hana is in the room... but he realizes now that the kind of “want” he is describing isn’t the same as Azura understands. She has no way of knowing Uai means a romantic want.]

I’m being kind of forceful and selfish with her, at any rate. I probably owe her an apology. Even if I was teasing, I did get her pretty worked up.

[She's missing very important pieces. Her eyes scan his face for any sort of clues she could pick up. Alas...]

If you think it would make her feel better. Perhaps. But I have a feeling that she holds nothing against you.

[she pauses.] When you feel like you can speak, you know I am here to listen.

[It shouldn’t surprise him to hear that from her. Azura has been nothing but kind and supportive since they met. So maybe the feeling in his heart right now is less “surprise” and more “relief.”

Not that he is going to say that aloud. But it does show as his shoulders sink and he even giggles a bit at his own self discovery. It may be dangerous to get comfortable around her in the long run, but it’s nice for the moment. Caught between the personalities of Hana and Azura, not even Uai can act grouchy.]

Thank you... So you’ve met her already, huh? You’re a busy Dragon Whisperer! And here I thought I was special.

[Is he teasing her? He is, isn't he! Despite her surprise it sends a rush of color to her cheeks.]

Goodness, Uai! [100% Flustered] Yes, we've met before. She helped catch the thief who stole my coinpurse a while back. I was very lucky to run into her then.

[Uai would be lying if he said he wasn’t amused by how flustered she is. He at least tries to remain polite and somewhat detached as he smiles back at the camera.]

Sounds like Hana! Helping people is just in her nature. I’m glad you’ve already met, then. Hana was one of the first people to greet me in Genessia. She doesn’t like being in that human form all of the time, so I invited her to stay with me. I’m right by the forest after all.

He is right. having a sweet tooth is perfectly fine, but to not take care of your teeth means that you'll end up losing them to either cavities or just losing them.

[This looks fun!]

Cavities are sick teeth! If you do nothing, they will fall out and die. Be a good dragon girl and let Doctor Whatshisface cure your teeth~

[She's being an ass, don't mind her too much.]
