Yaa-hoo, everyone!!

So, like, my name's Angelique Sheeran and I'm, like, new here in Genessia. Actually, I, like, arrived here a week ago or so, but, like, I forgot to introduce myself openly. I would, like, apologize but I don't, like, think it really matters, does it?

Anyway!! I mostly just, like, wanted to make this as a warning or an advertisment? However you rather, like, consider it, to say that today I'm going to, like, be around all the cities to get to know them and, like, everyone in them. I would, like, love to get to know some of you, or, like, all of you but, like, I know that's not possible. So if you want to, like, talk or something I'll be available on here or, like, you can come see me in person and get hug!

[She shifts to show a sign and that she's holding that reads "FREE HUGS".]

Because, like, there's nothing wrong with hugs and, like, they are a great thing to share! You don't, like, need to hug back if you don't like, that's why they are, like, free hugs! And they are, like, super healthy!

[Specially for the girl that will try to sneak and absorb tiny little bits of energy from each hug, not even enough to make people feel tired, though they may feel slightly breathless.]

No. No magic at all. The Doctor and I have seen more worlds than anyone else, and more time periods to boot. The only magic is just aliens being different species and able to do things humans can't, yeah? Or time period stuff, like if I bring back chemical control perfumes to the cavemen, what's the difference? Or time rift.

Oh, you mean your boyfriend, not mine. [LAUGHS.] Pssh. Yeah. Okay. I can get that! Yeah! I was the same way about aliens. So was Micks, although he got a little harder into the conspiracy theory side of it, when the Doctor brought me back a year late instead of the 12 hours later like we'd planned.

[Laughing as well.]

Actually like I could see that being my world too. I mean like a friend told me that magic is basically just super advanced science because it also has like its own rules and all. So, like tcha, I could totally see my world as a non-magic one. But like calling us "aliens" feels like weird, you know? Because like we're all from Azure, just like not the same dimension as humans because they like forced other species to hide to avoid a big world war.

[Headtilt.]

How could he like bring you back a whole year late when he's like a time traveler? Was there like something in time that like blocked traveling to the right moment or something?

Yeah? [Perks up interested.] The Doctor's universe doesn't allow for much intersection with the other dimensions. Some. And my Da's universe has way more intersection, because it's not so sealed off, so he made dimension hoppers, and then I used his ideas to work on the dimension cannon. But I wasn't exactly just... overlapping yeah? I was really... rocketing myself through the void. Like mm! I had to sort of... [Face scrunch.] Compress space and time using the void, so that they were nothing, and then I launched myself like a bullet! Or a cannonball! Using the void as a vacuum.

Have the dimensions overlapping sounds pretty dangerous! Even if it was to protect from wars...

[Rubs the back of her neck.] Torchwood got founded 'cause an alien crash-landed on Earth and a creepy cult used it like a disease, or curse, passing it down and spreading it so they could try to take over the crown of Britain. In the Doctor's universe, we saved the Queen. In my Dad's universe, she was killed, and so was the werewolf, either at the same time, or in punishment for messing up. In the Doctor's Universe the Queen made Torchwood to fight against all aliens, even the Doctor.

[FACE SCRUNCH TROLL FACE!] I like having him work for it now as a sort of Fuck you to her, yeah? [:V]

And Jack met her and got stuck workin' fer it too. But in Pete's Universe, my Dad's, Torchwood was made to help aliens too, because humans are kind of messed up, so we did some relocation and refugee stuff.

Yeahhhh basically. His ship is sentient. So I think she brought us back late because she wanted us to be around to fix stuff, and we wouldn't have if it weren't for my Mum slapping him and calling the police. Usually we set her on random, which is how we wound up in Hell -- Um, Krop Tor. Impossible planet, being explored by my Torchwood, right on the edge of a black hole. Satan was there. [Shrugs. \:|/] But sometimes we'd try to go to rock concerts and get to the wrong century. That's what happened with Queen Victoria. I was dressed for 1970s too, not 1870s. The Queen called me naked. [>:3] She still gave me a knighthood! Just before exiling me and the Doctor. [:V]

Well, we call them dimensions but like, maybe it's more like planes of existence? Like, it's the same world and the same place and like the same space, but like... Humans can't see them and they can't like see humans, at least not unless like, a portal is opened through a sacrifice. At least the portals from there to the human world are like the ones that require a sacrifice, but I don't like really know how to open a portal in like the other direction, you know?

So far it's always just like lemenaes of different grades and like a few numenaes crossing all to like the human world. I would like totally love to be able to cross to their dimensions or like whatever they really are, you know, to like see how it is there.

[Angelique frowns and makes a face at the mention of a creepy cult. It's always the cults in her experience.]

That's like a good "fuck you" to her, yeah. Specially because like her creating that to even like fight The Doctor is like a literally bitch move. Like totally ungrateful.

[And she snorts and laughs at the last part. Sorry, Rose that was... Definitively funny.]

[Nod nod!!!] Different universes are limited to different dimensions, so it does actually make sense for there to be an over lap, with like... those that exist on another plane or dimension, yup! I met a girl who was able to act as a bridge for another dimension, and she saved the universe by closing it when the gelth sent their soldiers over instead.

[Hums...] You... probably wouldn't like it there... [HAUNTED LOOK. DON'T ASK.] There's a reason certain dimensions have a lot of people wanting to invade, and not vice versa.

[But grins about Queen Victoria and winks.] I kind of want her to show up just so I can show her exactly what I've done with it. Ohhhh she'd hate it here though. Her entire reign was known for being a stuffy prudish era. [Tongue loll grin!]

Well, the lemenaes don't like really try to invade the human world, they are like called to it by creepy cults that make sacrifices. Besides I'm like... Well, I am a lemenae so like in a way my place woukd be there, I just have like never been there but I can't like really say why. Not until I like tell Carver first.

[She owes it to him, for him to be the first one to whom she tells all that. One of the reasons why she didn't feel too bad about admitting to not being human is because he actually caught on that pretty quickly.]

She and me would probably like totally not get along then. I can be like bad enough to make even non-prudish people like feel embarrassed and uncomfortable.

I see.

[Tongue loll grin!] Really? Ahhh you're making it really hard not to offer you a job, you know? Are you SURE you want to be a policewoman? We've got field agents!

[But she grins all the same.] Don't worry, I'm pretty bad too, I always forget how to keep to the mores of the past, and then in like... 5050, the year or time period Jack's from, humans flirt and seduce like every single species in the universe, like it's a mission. Really wish I could have seen how his meeting with her went down. Irresistible charmer Jack, but she is pretty strict!

[That makes her laugh.]

I like really love to work as a police, a detective even. It's like the only thing back home that ever made me feel like complete, you know? Investigating a scene, questioning witnesses and suspects, it's like... Like a big puzzle but with like someone or various people not wanting for you to like solve it so they hide pieces. So it's like a huge game or like a huge hunt. Even when the case it's like small, I really like totally love it.

[Headtilt.]

But like I don't know like how much work there would be here or even if like there will be open positions. So like maybe I could like help a little somehow? Though if like they don't let me work because of like my age or whatever I'll like give you a call to see if it's like still an option if that's like okay with you.

[She giggles.]

Your friend Jack does like sound like a charmer and like a fun dude. I can't like imagine the humans in my world ever reaching like that stage of flirting and all. Not with people like Gaff around, he's like drier than a desert.

Ahhh really? I'm kind of jealous, actually! The only time I feel anything close to that is on the road, traveling, yanno? And even then... if I don't have the Doctor with me, something's always missing.

Mm! You're welcome anytime, for sure, but I hope they let you in all the same! Torchwood does do some mysteries, but only if we think the proper authorities can't handle it, yeah? I think they'll let you in though. My friend Satou works there and she's younger than you. They're pretty good at understanding different worlds means different circumstances.

[Laughs.] Jack's the best, but you'd be surprised what a difference 3000 years can make. Heck even 100 was a big deal for my world! What year was it for you?

Well, I think that like it's enviable that it's your Doctor what makes you feel the most completed when doing something that like already makes you feel complete. I mean, isn't that like the absolute best? To find what your place is and who you want to be with in that place? Even if the place in question is like on the road, no one ever said that home is like one static place.

[It's a huge reason why she's really liking Carver, he likes work as much as she does. Gaff was considered a workaholic but compared to her he was actually far more relaxed and cared less about work.]

That's like great to know! And a huge relief, I was like accepted at my world, but like they couldn't really hire me because I hadn't finished high school due of some circumstances. But I was of age so they like had me as kind of like a consulting agent. So if you like ever need help with those mysteries feel free to like give me a call! I actually like have some experience working where proper authorities don't.

[She just won't go into details there, but she knows well that sometimes following the "rules" doesn't match what's truly best, for good or for bad.]

For me? It was 2059 A.R. but like after talking with my boyfriend I'm like literally sure that we use very different calendars. I mean, like, even the months are different from what I've like seen on the communication device. Also, technology is more like how Nova City is than Genessia which seemed closer to what Carver is used to and he's from 2014.

Not really. It makes me feel kind of weak and pathetic. And unbelievably attached. I fought my way across the multiverse to get back to him, and he left me back in my parents' universe. Come here, it's part of why I couldn't just... get over it for a year, yeah? Because I don't want to be that codependent. I'm independent of everyone, but when it comes to him... it's like I become all... my best yeah, but it reminds me of my worst too. And what with him being older and all, he was still supposed to outlive me...

[Waves a hand.] Don't worry about it. It's just not that great, not really. I really wanted him to take chances and I dunno. It seems silly now... but it was important to me. Really. And work for him and me is just that nuisance thing that can be used to get to our real objectives, yeah? Feeling complete while working? Definitely envy that. The closest was on a mission, and even then... I was trying to get back to him.

[To the last part:]

Makes sense, it's rarer for planets to actually have the same cycle around their suns as Earth does around Sol. I'm pretty sure it's artificial here, but don't get me started.

[Nod nods.] You never know, that's not too far off. Some things about my Dad's universe are more advanced than the Doctor's, and then vice versa. Even five years is a huge difference in tech with them. Both.

And... no worries about school. [Finger over her lips for a SECRET.] I dropped out early before my A-Levels in Britain to support my ex-boyfriend's dream of being a musician. It wasn't like I loved him, nothing like the Doctor. Just wanted to get out and on the road and believed we could do it together. I guess sometimes how I am with the Doctor reminds me of that. Not that I lose sight of the present, just... yeah. Work is always just so I can get out on the road again, yeah? [Laughs and shakes her head.] But... being trapped here with him. I don't mind. Although if he ever hears it, it'll go straight to his head and I'll never hear the end of it.

Oh... I've always thought that like finding that special someone was like still being able to be without them but not wanting to do so. And like it was always described as a good thing so...

[She shrugs softly.]

I mean like, it's not like I really get most of things regarding humans and emotions. I get like the concepts and all that but when it comes to like applying it all... Everything seems like super complicated at times.

[She laughs at the last part.]

Well, I'm not like too worried about school either. I mean, all the people of my age had were in almost the same position because they had to like miss a year, it's just that I like needed even another year for it. But also like since I started to work school worries me like even less. I just want to like do enough of it to be able to like start working full time and forget like everything else. So I guess it's like with work and the read for you.

I mean... yeah it is... [Laughs and rubs the back of her neck.] Still makes me feel I dunno. Wet noodle-y. Yeah?

[Grins and nods.] Luckily it shouldn't count much here. Experience counts for way more with 'em.

Though there's still Attleton Uni, or Nova Uni, if you want to get more expertise. There's a fund to help students pay for living expenses while they study here too.

What's wrong with like being wet noodle-y? So long as you're like happy, it's fine! Or so they like say at my world.

[Headtilt.]

I don't know, like Carver also commented about school but... Right now I just like want to work and be with him. Though I suppose I could like do a class or two maybe if they catch my attention. I mean, in my world you could like go to some classes even if you don't like do a whole career set, can that be like done here?

Maybe.

Yup! That's what I do. My best friend and his wife are professors there. I only take his, or if they're like really interesting. Debating if I should do some accounting ones. I'm not really good with spreadsheets or writing things down. Habit of learning all this from traveling with the Doctor who just holds it all in his head, yeah?

[That makes her laugh.]

Is that so? I like find working with spreadsheets and having like everything written down or in pictures the easiest way to work. I mean, it not only like makes it super easier to go over everything and connect clues and testimonies and leads, but it's also like super necessary for once you get the culprit. Lawyers like love evidence and testimonies and like to have everything recorded and written so like no one can just back off or degenerate into "he said, she said", you know?

So I kind of got tons of experience with that. I could like give you a few tips or tricks that I used to get into putting everything down like that if you want.

[Nods!] Yeah! Totally! You're making it super hard not to want to steal you to Torchwood though! I mean I mostly made it for people who can't just do normal jobs, but -- [Laughs and shakes her head.] It'll be a big help. I'll even pay you tutoring fees.

Although Senor Riviera is also sort of forcing me to get organized and write everything down. So that it can still operate without me. In theory. I mean I definitely want someone to cover my back in case of that, but I'm not sure my business partner, or the Doctor would stay without me, to be honest, yeah?

Well, from what you've told me like I can totally see them not staying. Besides you are like pretty magnetic, you know? I feel like probably a lot of the people working there like are there because of you, so replacing you would be like a huge challenge for anyone. And it like wouldn't be the first time people like abandon the ship when the captain changes.

[Chews her bottom lip in thought and nods slowly.] I hope they don't, though. I dunno that I can trust anyone to be my successor, no wait. Uai. I'll make a living will. Because the projects are all bigger than me, yeah?

[Rubs the back of her neck in thought. Pete and the Doctor are the same way though when she thinks about it.]

[She could trust Jack and the Doctor to look after each other, and Sarah Jane to look after them, and Martha of course. But Uai. Definitely.]

[But then she brightens!] I guess Pete, my Dad would be really proud of me. It was only partly homage to him. He funded his universe's Torchwood with his Vitex profits -- they're this super popular vitamin fizzy drink in his world, there's even some of it around here! But he's an inventor, a little like the Doctor. I still think he could probably manage some of this better than me, like the advertising definitely, but even without that, I think he'd be proud. So even if something happens, I want him to be able to see it all if he winds up here.

[Angelique hums for a moment before smiling.]

But even if they like leave at first if you leave, if the projects are like so big and they are like so much help, I'm sure they would like eventually return. Like, once they get over you like not being there, if you like get what I mean.

[Her smile softens as Rose goes on.]

That's like super extra sweet, Rose! I'm sure he is like literally super proud of you! And like, you know, maybe it's not like a matter of who does it like better, yes? Because like humans are all the same but also like very different, so like the way someone does something is like totally unique to them, but it's not like worse than the way another person would do it, yes?

Like they say in my world, "all the roads take to Yalaeria"! So even if like the way you do things is different from him, so long as it like does well, then there's no "better way".

Maybe!

[Laughs.] Yeah. I'm not lacking confidence, just organization. And Pops really likes it. The advertising I mean. I don't like having that much focus on me. Habit of runnin' with the Doctor. He does best with the spotlight on him so I can do sneaky things while no one's looking.

[Headtilt.]

Don't you like have a marketing manager or something? Or like someone to do the advertisment themselves, be like the face of it but just that. Like a mascot!

Nope.

Like I said, that's Pete's thing. [Laughs.] I've got Ches doing the Haunted House tours, but he's not a good mascot. Even though he's a big fat cat like Garfield. Oh! Koishi, I mentioned she might give you hugs? She's a youkai! But she's more in the testing and development. I mean I can handle the business connections at least? All the people and ties and stuff, that I'm good at! But no one to be really the face of it. If I could find a chibi vampire... maybe. Nikola...??? I mean -- nah. Nikola prefers his space.

HONESTLY, you'd think Jack would lap up bein' the face of it. He's literally the Face of Boe, but I think that's why. And I could never pressure Jack into anything. [Face scrunch.] I mean maybe if Martha encourages him, he might. Matt's gotta cover all the legal stuff sooooooo.....

[Shrug.] Do me a favor though, yeah? Keep your eyes out? If you find anyone who could do that and needs a job, send 'em to me. 'ere hang on... [Writes up some notes on a business card!] There. You're officially a consultant. Covers all bases, don't it? You can do any cases we gotta finagle, and the legalese will keep Matt busy in the trenches, and you can help us out on the feeding more like you, and whatever else. And like I said, you find someone that meets the mascot bill? Send 'em my way, yeah?

[Taking the card and storing it safely!]

Sure! But like, geez, I really like wish Kaden had been taken too, he would be like totally up for the mascot thing. He's kinda like me but male and like he feeds on people's feelings towards him, but like only if they are possitive, you know? So he's a model and a mascot for several brands because that like makes people notice him and like him.

[A giggle.]

But yeah, I'll like totally keep an eye to see if I come across anyone who could do it.
