Yaa-hoo, everyone!!

So, like, my name's Angelique Sheeran and I'm, like, new here in Genessia. Actually, I, like, arrived here a week ago or so, but, like, I forgot to introduce myself openly. I would, like, apologize but I don't, like, think it really matters, does it?

Anyway!! I mostly just, like, wanted to make this as a warning or an advertisment? However you rather, like, consider it, to say that today I'm going to, like, be around all the cities to get to know them and, like, everyone in them. I would, like, love to get to know some of you, or, like, all of you but, like, I know that's not possible. So if you want to, like, talk or something I'll be available on here or, like, you can come see me in person and get hug!

[She shifts to show a sign and that she's holding that reads "FREE HUGS".]

Because, like, there's nothing wrong with hugs and, like, they are a great thing to share! You don't, like, need to hug back if you don't like, that's why they are, like, free hugs! And they are, like, super healthy!

[Specially for the girl that will try to sneak and absorb tiny little bits of energy from each hug, not even enough to make people feel tired, though they may feel slightly breathless.]

[Except it's not really an attack but still it's a big hug. And given the other's expression Angelique decides to not take anything and be true to the "free hugs" claim. Some people do need a free hug more than others after all.]

I don't like mean to be noisy, but like you really looked like you needed one. So, like if it's true, don't worry it will like be alright.

"Thank you! I'm sure it will. People here seem, er, friendly!

"I'm Ahsoka. Hi, and thanks for the hug. Is this a thing you usually do, or is today some sort of holiday for you? Either way, it's really nice."

Her smile this time is freer, appreciating the moment, and setting her past aside.

That's the spirit! And yes, like, at least so far I've not really met anyone that was like a jerk or anything.

Maybe like some grumpy and judgamental people but I can't really like blame them much.

[She's aware that her speech can be annoying after all.]

My name's Angelique, it's like super nice to meet you Ahsoka! Actually I've done it before but like only in my world, you know? Mostly because like I never left it until I came here like a week ago or so.

And it's nice, isn't it? In my world there was like a study that concluded that hugs were like a super important part of good health and growth. I even like made a thesis about it at school to check if it was indeed true, which was the first time that I like did this thing. But it was like super fun so I did it a couple more times after that.

Ahsoka laughs despite herself. "Hi, Angelique! Well, you seem to have made the best of your time here! So this is just something you do for fun? I see we all have to find paid work, and professional huggers wouldn't be the *strangest* thing I've seen so far..."

Well, it's like no use to just sit and wait to return home, don't you think? And like moping has never helped to solve anything.

[She laughs at the idea of professional huggers.]

That doesn't sound like a bad job idea. But no, this isn't like anywhere close to my job. I'm still like jobless because my boyfriend and I are, like, trying to decide where to go, but we're like going to try for the police force here. Or whatever it is that they like have that is the closest to that. You know, like law enforcements? I suppose you have like something like that in your world.

Ashoka couldn't help but keep smiling at the woman's joyous energy. And, remembering herself as a Padawan, before the war turned her into Commander Tano, she could completely see this woman as a gifted peacekeeper.

"We do - did - once. And I think you'll be wonderful at it. Do you think you'll stay in this city, then, or go to one of the others? I'd love to know how things go for you here!"

[She blinks at that "did", biting her lower lip in curiosity. But Ashoka is new, maybe newer than her or just as new, and she may not be human but she knows that a human in those circumstances may not enjoy to talk about certain stuff. Specially since she corrected herself there so it's probably still fresh and may be painful.]

[So she quickly recovers her smile, focusing on the next words instead.]

Actually, I'm not really like very sure? My boyfriend and I are like still talking about where to go. He's like interested in here but like Everglade also interests him. Personally I would be like fine in either place, or even like Nova which is closer to what I'm used to. What about you? Do you like have any plans yet?

Well, Nova City's a lot more familiar to me - it seems like most of the other cities look like some place called "Urth," that most of the people here are from?

Usually when I get to someplace new, I can find work as a mechanic, so I thought I'd get familiar with Nova City, talk to people, and see if anyone needs that sort of thing.

Are you still in the temporary housing here? We're probably neighbors....

Actually, if you *are* thinking about peacekeeping - [she seriously boggles at the thought, but keeps on going] - I know a deputy in Nova City. I could introduce you.

Tcha! Though like for me Genessia and the others look like places in my world but from like a long time ago, like over a century and more. There are like some things in Nova that are beyond what I'm accustomed of, but it's like still the closest.

And like Nova does seem like a place where a mechanic will always be handy! I'm sure that you can like find easy job as that there then.

[She giggles, cheeks coloring a bit at the next question.]

Actually I've like not been to the temporary housing, like at all. I just like booked a hotel room with the boyfriend, and we're like staying there until we decide where to live. Which I suppose will be like either here or in Nova, because like there's a huge tech difference with the other places even for him so that would be like hard to get used to.

You like really know one of the deputies already?! That's like literary so sweet! I really like don't know where to go and like my boyfriend and me are partners so I would have to pass it through him too, you know? But asking a deputy would probably be like one of the best ways to get an idea of how things work in a place and if they like actually need people.

[Still she shakes her head.]

But that would be like taking advantage of your kindness, so I think I'll like pass if you don't mind. Besides, I can't like really return the favor.

[Ahsoka can't believe she's actually considering setting up a semi-social meeting with *General Grievous* - but she's confident that she wouldn't be putting this kind woman and her boyfriend into any danger at all. And she *really* wants to see how he'll react to a level of kindness and enthusiasm the most eager padawan never managed}

Honestly? You'd be doing *me* a favor. I'd like a reason to drop back in on the deputy I know, and if it turns out you two are a good fit for the job, then everybody comes out ahead. So if you are interested after you talk it over with your boyfriend, it's something I'd be delighted to do.

Actually, either way, come let me know? I'd be happy to see you again and meet your boyfriend -I can't guarantee a lot in the way of hospitality before I get settled into a job, but it's be nice to have some company.

Just come on by the temp housing any time? [she smiles] Most everyone there knows where the orange lady lives!

Well, if you like put it that way... I'll definitively like throw it at my boyfriend and like see what he thinks.

[She laughs a little and nods.]

All right then, like I'll let you know how that like turns out. Besides like even if we don't go there, you know? Maybe it's like not a bad idea to meet the deputy, like it would be the best way to get information about like how things work in between the areas, yes? I would like prefer to know what everyone like things and how they see things before like just getting to work and being told there.

[It definitively sounds like it would be interesting and if it serves Ahsoka to have a reason to drop back in on that deputy, that's two birds with one stone.]

And I would like love to drop by, actually since I met my boyfriend right after arriving I didn't like get to even see the temp housing. I like know where it is but not how it is, so I'm a bit curious.

Ahsoka nods. "Good! Maybe the two of you can come by tomorrow evening? I'm not set up for entertaining, but maybe we can take our basic rations to the park and have a picnic. And then if you two are interested, I'll set something up with Grievous."

She realizes his name might not inspire confidence in the other woman, but - he hadn't mentioned he was going by anything else these days, so, so be it. How odd that she can almost imagine the patient tone he would use with the other newcomer!

She shakes her head and laughs. "It was good to meet you - and thanks again for the hug!"

Oh, a picnic sounds like a great idea! We will like be there, I don't think we have like anything set for tomorrow so there's no problem. But if like for some reason anything happens I'll like let you know later, okay?

[Another laugh and Ahsoka's going to get a quick hug again.]

Same to you! I'll see you tomorrow then!
