Yaa-hoo, everyone!!

So, like, my name's Angelique Sheeran and I'm, like, new here in Genessia. Actually, I, like, arrived here a week ago or so, but, like, I forgot to introduce myself openly. I would, like, apologize but I don't, like, think it really matters, does it?

Anyway!! I mostly just, like, wanted to make this as a warning or an advertisment? However you rather, like, consider it, to say that today I'm going to, like, be around all the cities to get to know them and, like, everyone in them. I would, like, love to get to know some of you, or, like, all of you but, like, I know that's not possible. So if you want to, like, talk or something I'll be available on here or, like, you can come see me in person and get hug!

[She shifts to show a sign and that she's holding that reads "FREE HUGS".]

Because, like, there's nothing wrong with hugs and, like, they are a great thing to share! You don't, like, need to hug back if you don't like, that's why they are, like, free hugs! And they are, like, super healthy!

[Specially for the girl that will try to sneak and absorb tiny little bits of energy from each hug, not even enough to make people feel tired, though they may feel slightly breathless.]

[It has actually been a while since she took so much energy from just one person, even with her deal with Gaff she only took as much as she needed and unless she had been forced to transform or something... She didn't really need that much. So it's quite a relaxing feeling to take so much at once again.]

[And Carver's energy is extra delicious. And it doesn't seem as if his heart is going into heart attack mode or anything like that, which is even better.]

[He still tells her to tell him just whenever she's comfortable, even after she said it was related to the case. He's too nice with her.]

It's okay... I like didn't tell you because I just didn't want to like admit what I was. Besides if you like left when learning what I am then there wouldn't have like been a point to telling you everything.

[And then he starts laughing. What's with this man and giving her the least expected reactions?]

What? No, like that can't be it, I mean you said you had like heart problems, right? You like so needed a pacemaker, that means that like your heart doesn't produce enough pumping, doesn't it? I... The energy that I take is like the one generated by your body so like if your heart already has trouble like producing enough to work, then I should like make it even worse.

No. It's got arrhythmia. It over produces electricity. Too fast. A pacemaker is to slow it down. That's why running is dangerous for me, it starts it up in double time.

[Kisses her forehead.] All right, I'm staying. As long as you let me. And if you get bored of me, I'll try to win you back. Which is more than I can say for my ex.

Oh... I like thought that pacemakers were all to like help the heart work because otherwise it like stopped.

[But then, if the problem is that it produces too much energy and she feeds on energy... She can feel her cheeks heatening without reason at the idea.]

Then, maybe I'm like not as dangerous for you as like I thought? We should like totally check that with a doctor though, like just to be literally sure.

[She sighs at the kiss and goes back to snuggle against him, just not feeding this time.]

Why would I like get bored of you? Dont say like such silly things.

[She bites her lower lip, trying to think how to begin.]

Remember like what I told you about the case? That it was about a cult that like had acted in the past and caused like the deaths of several children? I like told you that two years ago they like used twenty five teenagers for their sacrifices, but... It was actually like twenty six, because like I suspect the doubled the number of sacrifices from like an earlier attempt.

A-Anyway like, that last teenager was reported to like have survived and like the police assumed that they had like not used her or like missed her, either way she was returned to like her home. She was like useless as a witness though because a psychologist like determined that she had post-traumatic amnesia. But, like, he got it wrong. She didn't like have amnesia, she... I just like couldn't remember anything before being found because like I only came to exist after the ritual...

[A pause and she snuggles more tightly.]

The cult like managed to summon a lemenae, a demon, but like it was a parasite type. Those like need a host to survive and like feed on illnesses in the host so basically in exchange of being feed and like having a host, said host gains a perfect health. I... I think the lemenae made a deal with the last child sacrificed, Angelique Sheeran, but like they were gunned down before they could escape. Angelique was like already weak from the ritual and the lemenae was still adapting to her body so... Both died. But, because the lemenae was a parasite type even after dying it still adapted to the human body and like recombined the DNA and all that. And then... I woke up, knowing only my name... Chrysalis.

Nah. In my case, it goes too fast. The injections, and pills are to keep it from getting that fast. Too much electrical output. [Soft grin.] Okay. We'll check with a real Doctor.

[Winces about the number of kids again, but nods.]

[And listens as she explains the transformation from Angelique to Chrysalis.]

[And a furrowed brow at the end.]

[And kisses her forehead again.] I'm so glad I met you.

[Takes both her hands.]

So Angelique and the demon... turned into you? [Gently smooths his thumb over her cheek.] You went back to her family though. Just because it was easier? Or is that still Angelique in you? [Finger over her lips again.] It's okay to say you don't know. Even for a normal seventeen year old, that's a tough question. We're not all like my Julienne. When I was that age, I pretty much gave up on both of my parents.

[Aaand he's making her blush again.]

[THAT'S IT, HE'S A TRAP. ALL THIS IS A TRAP. HE CAN'T BE SO GREAT AND PERFECT AND ACCEPTING OF HER.]

[She feels the most sorry for her family because now Angelique will never return. For Gaff too, a little, because he's back to being without a partner and he's either going to have to stop taking their cases or someone manage to convince Kaden or Vincent to help him. And she's sorry for Oddette as well, she has definitively been left behind by her childhood best friends now.]

[But she's trapped her by this man and despite feeling sorry, she can't bring herself to fight it.]

No... It's... It wasn't like about being easier or Angelique like being still in me. She's not. Nor is the lemenae. I like only know her name because that's how the police like identified me when they found me. All I had like in my mind was like the name Chrysalis and that it was like mine but that was all so I was confused. And when the doctor was like "she's amnesia" I figured that he was like right, you know?

It made like sense. I was Angelique, I just like had forgot it all and like the Chrysalis thing? That was like my brain trying to have a way to like call itself or something. So I just like tried to be Angelique, to remember at least like the life before the kidnapping at all. I even like was diagnosed as having eating issues because like I had no appetite but like was always hungry. But then my parents and my brother were like gone for a week and I like... Began to starve. And suddenly I like found myself out in the city in like the middle of the night... Hunting for a guy that would like want to have sex with like a fifteen year old. That was when I like realized that something was wrong with me.

[She averts her eyes, hoping that he won't ask about the people she hunted during that time. Though it's not hard to imagine.]

I didn't like really come to have like an idea of what I truly was until like, Gaff found me three months later... And tried to like arrest me, when he like pointed his gun at me, my instincts kicked in and since I had like just feed, I transformed into my lemenae form. After that, I slowly like came to learn about what I was and all.

But, I like stayed with Angelique's family because... I had nowhere else to like go and even if Gaff offered, I just... Decided that it would be like better to keep the charade and like not let them know that their real daughter was like never going to come back. They are like very nice, you know? Even when they like wanted me to remember they did like their best to not pressure me, to just like build new memories and all. So I took a liking of them, besides they like hug me very often and all so, they keep me feed even if like not the way they think.

Amnesia fugues work like that in my world too, though they're rare except in fiction.

[And his eye twitches at the idea of her hunting for sex at fifteen. Worse of the guys who she found prey and just...]

[Before he can stop himself there's a low annoyed growl and he kisses her hard, biting and sucking on her lower lip aggressively.]

Wait so. You can transform? Is that how you know you're not the parasite type lemenae?

Or how did you find that out?

[AND the final part... his heart goes out to her with a great swoop of affection like an eagle dive.] That's... You don't give yourself enough credit. Even if you think you don't know them, it sounds like you love them enough to want them to be happy with you.

[Both hands on her face and kisses again, breathing her in.]

[And eskimo kisses. Not sure if that feeds her too or she has to do something, or just maybe she enjoys it, and that's good enough for him.]

[She shrinks a little when she notices the eye twitch, wondering if it will be that what makes him leave.]

The type of a lemenae is like determined by how it feeds, there are like types and even like subgroups in those types. I like only learned of all that when I like started to work with Gaff and found out other lemenaes that like live among humans. There's also like a married couple that's like specialized in studying the lemenaes and numenaes and like keep recordings of the actual history of the world. Because like all records about the lemenaes and numenaes are like erased from public story, at least officially.

[And she goes red at his last words, shaking her head stubbornly.]

They are just like convenient. And like I don't want them to try to like hunt me for like replacing their daughter.

[It's really hard to focus on trying to explain how she's terrible and evil when he kisses her and gives her eskimo kisses and all that. But she likes them enough to try to make him stop.]

I see. Makes sense. [Gently runs his hands along the sides of her thighs, thumbs up and down the front. HE MEANT IT WHEN HE SAID HE COULDN'T CONTROL HIMSELF WITH HER JEEZ LOUISE.]

[Head tilt to the side.] Parents don't want their kids just for who they were growing up or the sacrifices you made in the past for them. You make those sacrifices to try to give them a future. Even if you're different, you still have a future. As Angelique even. It's probably not what they expected or would have wished for, but...

[Puts his other hand in his pockets and leans forward to kiss her head.]

What's a numenae? What happens when you transform? Does it hurt you?

[She probably doesn't help the lack of control by melting the way she does when he touches her. But she can't help it, it feels really good.]

[And she's still not sure how he hasn't left her yet.]

[Definitively a trap or magic or something.]

[She protests lightly at the poke on her head, pouting. But she listens to what he says and... She really doesn't know what to say.]

I don't like really care either way. And like, we're still like not sure but, the couple that I mentioned and the other lemenaes said that we don't like age once we reach a certain apparent age. So like sooner or later I will probably have to leave them either way, because like they will keep growing old but I will like stay the same.

[And she tenses at the next questions.]

A numenae is what you would like call an "angel". They are like lemenaes but like they feed a bit differently and like have their own sets of rules.

And no, it doesn't like hurt when I transform. Like, the first time I only noticed because Gaff went from like wary to panicky and started like shooting at me. When I transform I like... Turn into a horrific and scary monster. So I like try to not transform much, or not like completely at least. Even with like everything we have seen everytime he has like seen my lemenae form Gaff got all panicky and nervous, so like I bet it's absolutely terrifying.

I think they'll still be grateful to have had you in their lives. At least, that's how I'd be.

Definitely better than nothing, I can tell you that from the parents who've lost kids and not even knowing why or how or whom is enough to break them.

Besides. [Another forehead kiss.] No parent should have to bury their child.

[And then just watches her all glowing eyes darkly simmering.] Like I keep saying... it doesn't have to be right now. And it might be the quickest way to test my heart and whether you can keep it from going overtime... but will you show me?

Preferably before we're in a real life and death situation or then I might die. [:V Way too casual about that.]

So it's like better to just not even know that you've lost your kid? I thought that humans like prefered honesty and all that.

[Her eyes widen and she takes a step back, shaking her head when he asks next.]

No!! Never! Nuh-huh! No way! I'm like totally not going to try to like give you a heart attack just to test that! Not with that! You say that because you haven't like seen it so you can't imagine it, but it's totally horrifying!

Let's go to a doctor or like find another way but I'm like not going to show you that. No one should ever like see it!

Have they really lost her though? What's the difference in you continuing or her becoming you? How would you know?

[Arches eyebrow.] You might have to do it sometime for protection. There's magic hunters, not to mention the vampires and werewolves. Better I can see first before it surprises me.

[HUFF.] We can do the heart attack thing with a doctor first if you want, and injections handy. To make sure it doesn't go into overload if you you can't stop it. But we should definitely test your transformed state before running into something dangerous.

For starters, like I really doubt she would be like hunting for physical contact or sex at fifteen. Or have a deal about it like at seventeen with a cop.

[And she still shakes her head. Clearly upset and panicking at the mere idea.]

No, I like... I don't want to transform. Like, if there's absolutely no other way then it can't like be helped. But I'm not showing it. You won't like be able to look at me the same way after that. Even if you like don't leave!

I'm telling you Gaff has like seen really terrifying things but like everytime I transformed he wouldn't like be able to even look at me without remembering that form. Even Kaden was like speechless and shocked and he's like an incubus!

[Forehead to hers.] Nothing can change the way I feel about you. Because it's not based on anything other than yourself. If I can't accept the worst parts of you, then I don't deserve you. I won't leave. Not going to push you either, but I want to see. Before something catastrophic. Maybe Kaden just wasn't expecting it because it's so different from your usual.

But remember what I said? Monsters don't usually look like it. Even if you hurt me, I'll hold my own, just so you don't have to feel guilty about it later.

[She closes her eyes, simply distraught at it. How can he sound so sure? Be so sure? It's not fair and he shouldn't say those things, because he doesn't really know if he can hold them true.]

[They haven't even known each other for that long. He doesn't even know that much of her, so how can he say that his feelings are based on that and that they won't change? That's simply naive. And she's an idiot because she can feel herself actually believing him.]

I don't like want to transform. Ever. I literally hate it.

[She couldn't even dare to do it alone and look at herself on a reflection after their reactions. If two people that had seen a monster eviscerating children and sucking their organs were more altered by her than by that sight... She's sure it must be worse than anyone's nightmare.]

I'm sorry...

[Kisses her forehead.] Don't be. But I'm not changing my mind. I just hope if it happens you're wrong.

[She puffs softly.]

You're like so unfair. And like very weird for a human.

[Still she can't help but smile at him.]

Definitively, I like don't mind being kidnapped to this place if it like gives me you.

You know, like, I think I got like a fair amount of success with this. Didn't get as many people as I did like in Vertiron, but still got some. There was like a super nice girl named Rose and then I met her boyfrien-... Oh! Did you like know that there's a guy that looks like totally like you? Except without beard. And like more smily.

[Why is he jealous? He's not jealous. No stupid urge to punch his own stupid face. Well, not really his face. Just similar. And sideburns. D:< AND GIVING HIS BABY SUCCUBUS HUGS GRRR --]

And tcha! I like him, he's interesting and nice enough. And he looks like you so like I don't feel weird for thinking of you while talking to him.

[And she laughs again. WANT TO GUESS WHO DOESN'T GET THAT HE'S JEALOUS?]

You both like look the same, silly. But like you smell better and like your hugs feel better too. I like don't know how his skin or kisses taste to compare but like her energy is also different, yours is tastier and warmer.

[Grunts.]

[But color him mollified.] Think of me often, do you?

Hm. Don't find out about how his skin tastes. I'll make sure you're stuffed. [Tickles under her chin and kisses her forehead. His baby succubus. No stealing!]

[It's more that with him if her mind wanders to Carver then she can find an explanation to it and not wonder why is she thinking of him. Either way she giggles at the last part and shakes her head.]

I didn't like mean I would try to find out, I've like no interest in it. Plus he already like has a girlfriend so like, what would be the point?

[She tilts her head, thinking about it for a moment. Is she curious at all about how the Doctor tastes? Even if just to compare to Carver?]

[Carver may regret having said that with how seriously she ponders it before she shrugs.]

Nope! I don't like think it's worth the curiosity. Besides even if he like looks just like you, he has like a pretty different personality. I guess it's not like bad, but... I like really think it's totally not my type, you know?
