Before you ask, trouble with a robotic naked mole rat that has since gone -- well I would say to meet its maker but obviously [gesture] we've met. Not to worry, I'm undiquedexterous.

First announcement. School is starting up soon! I know you're all looking forward to it so I'll keep this brief... for anyone old and new who is taking my class starting mid-to-late August depending on the astral calendar... the book list is out on my website, also available on my office door. It's roughly sequential. Very roughly. But be sure to pick up: Our Cosmos, Ourselves and Life, the Universe and Everything. There's also an electronic version of the Cosmos one if you don't want to lug around a five thousand page textbook.

Second item, CDs and various other formats of the performances at the Music Festival are now on sale. If you've participated, you're entitled your share in order to hoard, distribute, date, make miniature models of, etc whatever you want to do. I'm whipping 'round a poster to have autographed by everyone that sang, even if you popped up for the open mic or at the last song. It would mean a lot to me if you jotted something down but no pressure.

Finally, I feel like we need a good going out of summer bonfire or something of that nature. What do you think?

Do you remember the last talk we had about making friends? And how it doesn't mean actually making robots, growing them in petri dishes, or otherwise trying to manipulate the basic molecules of life and time to fight your loneliness?

[No, she's not joking or teasing. She knows a couple that has a collection of books of fifty thousand pages each just about her world and the "demons" on it. And they are working on a similar one for the "angels".]

Wait, like, school is starting up soon?! But, like, we're in the middle of summer! Shouldn't school, like, wait until September?

[Then again she actually hasn't even really thought about if she will go to school or focus on work here.]

Of course! But you have to start things off slow before you dive into, say, the fifteen years worth of quantum philosophy. Which is not only complex but also drier than a sandstorm on Mars.

[he can sympathize. Though in his case it's less hunting his own brother than trying to help his psychopathic friend whose tried to kill him more than once and will probably try a few more times, but at least a knife in the back is not a surprise when you expect it]

You're, like, letting it be too independent before it's ready for it. Before you know it, it will be, like, staying active at crazy hours at night and having wild parties without, like, any safety control.

Yeah. It looks trickier than it actually is, yeah? The really impossible ones are like.... Up down, ten times faster, all different strings, or worse, same string, too fast to do any resonance. But.... It'll take a week maybe. 2 days if I bugger off work.

Why? Just wanting to challenge me?

I wouldn't know. Mine never really gave me much of a chance to try.

I wouldn't be doing it if I didn't. Keeping demons on the down low so normal people don't have to worry about it is fine with me, and they give me a chance to really flex my muscles and work off any frustration that builds up in daily life.

No you kill the excitement by making erstwhile students who want to be in awe at the stars trudge through three hundred million years of Quantum Law. Trust me I've been there. Done that. Cheated my way through. It's not pretty.

Also, I don't control the calendar. Take it up with the school system.

You should come to the class, by the way. Sit by Rose. She'll let you crib her notes.

Quantum physics, mechanics, theory, law, aesthetics. Poetry, art, song, baking on occasion. Whatever I feel like and how it relates to the overall schematic of the multiverse.

Why? Interested in attending? It's no running for your life from stampeding brachiosaurs across a steaming humid jungle full of pitfalls and looping vines and mosquitoes the size of race horses, but it's not bad.

[He folds his arms behind his head as he props his feet on his desk.]

I suppose that, like, if you start from the beginning... Why don't just, like, throw people to the middle of it and, like, work to figure it all out from there? That way they would, like, be so confused and panicking about understanding things that, like, they won't realize there are boring parts.

[Again, it worked for her. School was hardly boring when her mind was running a mile per second trying to piece together what was it's purpose, why was she there and what use would it have to memorize the long list of kings her country had had.]

Sounds like a typical Tuesday. However, I was curious to further my horizons beyond my world's knowledge if at all possible. But, I haven't heard of...Quantium Mechanics... However, if you are teaching law as in the legal variety, I might be interested along with Art and Music.

The law in the legal variety as it relates to space and time, yes. As well as art and music relating to the cosmos. You're welcome to drop by and learn anything you like.
